ARNOLD
One of the Best Exercises for Breast Muscles.
Wow, look at that stretch at the bottom incredible.
Yea, his giant pectorals get stretched pretty much flat with it.
Excellent exercise for pectorals 👌
My shoulders and arms can’t go that far back on flies
Reduce the weight , notice he isn’t bring the weights between his chest either its a different variation and stretch focused. 🙌🦅🇵🇸
Haha mine neither
It’s called stretching lol
@@fizzle2323 ☝☝☝l🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
These guys were serious about bodybuilding 🔥
Wow, just another great video of Arnold. This is so great to see how to perform an actual flye. It's all about the deep stretch and pull to contraction. I see few people doing flyes, let alone do them as an actual flye. Incorporating this into my routine has made a vast difference. It's amazing to see how much weight Arnold is using and repping it. This is fantastic footage. Thank you Carlos.
Exactly! Because they use too much weight and don’t focus on the stretch! 🙌🦅🇵🇸
Just did chest tonight with flyes with medium weight for 15 reps and pushed it.
At reps 8 and 9 it was already aching but pumping with that full stretch, medium heavy weight and pulling out 15 full range reps, all I can say is wow. Massive pump.
As far as I remember, I've been doing that movement for 38 years 😁
Too low, with too much weight and too high.. probably the best pectoral movement ever 👍
why did the dumbell fly form change so much over the years?
Because men are weak now you’ll go to the gym trying to do this form and all the professional gym Bros will tell you that you’re going too far but then again look at Arnold’s massive chest😂 the same way holding the bar very far apart when bench pressing
Yeah it's very thought provoking how these golden era guys were kind of ahead of their time when it came to training. They understood that the stretched position of a lift really contributed to growing the muscle, which is only now coming back around thanks to modern exercise scientists. I don't know what made the standard change like that; maybe the rise of mass monsters and modern bodybuilders being too inflexible. I guess broscience is sometimes at the cutting edge lol.
Cause people are pussies and cheat movements lol I don’t think it’s a coincidence that everyone in this era had a thick full chest and did flies like this and nowadays they do half range and everyone’s chest is much more narrow
🎉🎉❤❤ 100k almost there
The bench is narrow and very thin padding. Idk how high off the ground it is either. But i imagine that makes a difference in how it feels to bring the arms back
Hes got his grip almost neutral but hes actually flaring like a motherfucker while hes at it. Wonder if thats the trick for keeping the shoulders braced correctly for the movement.
Love these! Gotta start with flat bench first or light weights to reallyyy get that warm up though.
It looks like a fly into a press. He is bending his elbows at the bottom of the movement.
I like doing this exercise after incline chest , sometimes 25 angle bench , sometimes flat bench , get really good stretch . sometimes in the gym , sometimes home . very good exercise get the blood in to the chest . Incline different angles presses and Flyes
You have bench at home?
@@solslastcannula5665 yes . Incline , decline nech any angle can makes with her
@@solslastcannula5665 Highly reccomended . Gyms are to busy with zombies in this days .
You really never see anyone do this exercise anymore. But then, you don't really see the same Pec. development either. Concidence? Either way, great exercise, doesn't even need to be done "heavy" to feel good and get results. Maybe that's the problem, you need to check the ego at the door!
I love seeing this. It’s like watching Bruce Lee training
OMG that's heavy!
Genetic freak, I don't recall Arnold ever having a Bicep, chest, shoulder tear or any kind of a major injury during his career. If he did I don't remember it .
Arnold was also the GOAT at optics and selling himself, so if he ever did get injured I bet he wasn't public about it. Guy cultivated a superhuman persona
He had a few injuries but nothing career ending
He laced up his knee that’s about it. I think the key is that Arnie let his tendons and ligaments develop with the heavier weights. He never concentrated only on just lifting super duper heavy.
Hi bro, if possible then please interview Richard Baldwin. He is quite active on Facebook and in top notch shape at the age of 77 years.
SUPER ❤

Hi, I am a 26 year old woman who is interested in starting the Maxalding System. I wanted to ask if this would be good for me and if this will make me bulk up instead of gaining lean muscle.
Godbless the Golden era where work came first then gear now these kids wanna turn into Arnold in 2 years lol
I wish I had a youth serum & a time machine so I could go back & work out with them
🇮🇹... Wonderful...🇮🇹
I tried lifting my knees tonight. Seems to make a difference. Any idea how much wt he has on each dumbbell?
80 /85 lbs
@@DavideTerminator They're 60/65lbs, each plate weighs 7,5lbs or 8lbs. You can see 60 or 65 on the dumbell in other footage where he does this exercise, shot from another angle.
@@IronWarrior86 80/85 lbs not 60/65 kg lbs not kg!!!
@@DavideTerminator Yes we're talking lbs, 60 or 65 is what he's lifting.
@@IronWarrior86 They're 80/85 lbs not 60/65 !
❤❤😊😊
The old school bodybuilders knew what they were doing. I started doing these back in the early 2000's. Everyone knew Arnold's routine then. This stuff is nothing new. Except maybe for the younger lifters.

Damn, 'I've been doing my flyers WRONG ALL this time😳
If you took steroids you can do them anyway you want
Those are real flies...not those modern day flies that i call doing the chicken wing 😅
Badassss 😮 how many pounds was that??
80 Lb. Massively strong. And he reps it.
@@ryans339 on each arm?😳😮

@@sergio_oliva thanks for the clarification friend
