I remember when Barbarian was filming 'Bodyslam' (1986) in Riverside, California, and he ended up getting pretty drunk at the Holiday Inn the crew were staying at. When the bartenders called last call at 2am, Barbarian apparently wasn't done drinking yet, and refused to leave. The managers called the Riverside Police Department and Barbarian ended up tossing a few of them around the room until he could be calmed down. He was arrested and spent the night in jail, but was bailed out in time to resume filming. A family member of mine who worked at the RPD at the time confirmed this story, and a "donation" was made to the Riverside Boosters Club by the production and charges were dropped.

It was Bart Gunn that knocked out Steve Williams, not JBL. Bart did also knock out JBL though too, which won him the entire Brawl For All tournament and resulted in him getting buried for ruining WWE's plans for Dr. Death (who they had brought in to feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin). The Brawl For All was designed to make Dr. Death look unstoppable in the lead-up to him eventually coming after Austin, but after Bart knocked his ass out and injured him, the whole thing was lost. They then punished Bart by signing him to face Butterbean in the Wrestlemania 15 Brawl For All Match and Butterbean destroyed him in seconds.

I've never heard this about The Barbarian playing this joke! lol Most know that he's not gay or even bi, so of course he was ribbing Erik. The Barbarian has seven kids and a wife he's been married to forever. He was also one of a handful of young men sent by the King of Tonga to train as a Sumo in Japan when he was young; two countries that frown on homosexuality.
He was pulling Erik's leg as a rib and trying to freak him out, and it worked. lol Funny stuff. I love this story! Barb still wrestles too and is still an absolute beast. He's also a very nice guy.
