As an Afro Latino of Puerto Rican ancestry, I am so proud to see Janet Reyes and Stephanie Ramirez, 2 Afro Latinas on Fox 5 DC. Unfortunately, you don't see educated Afro Latinas on Univision and Telemundo. All you see is white Hispanics reporting the news on these Spanish speaking channels. There's so much racism within the Latino community when it comes to skin color and hair texture. This includes both in the Dominican and Puerto Rican communities here in the United States and in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and in other Spanish speaking countries of Mexico and Central and South America.
