Hi I have a 12 foot x 8 feet tall wooden garage door. I noticed that I have 2 springs that are not the same wire size would like to replace with two new one how do I know what springs I need I checked on Amazon not sure what size to get is the a chart .my door is heavier then steel doors.
You need to find the weight of the door or measure the springs on there currently then you can work from there to figure out what springs you need. No charts exactly unless you can find a model and manufacturer, then you can call the manufacturer for spring sizes, but most wood door companies no longer exist.
