I would love to see more characters from mythology (Greek or otherwise)! Hades isn't actually supposed to be "evil", at least no more than any other god. That was something Disney went with, to avoid Hera being the antagonist, and having to explain how Zeus can't keep it in his pants! Nonetheless, this is a great sculpture!
Even though he wasn’t any more evil than any other greek gods (he just kidnapped his niece and tricked her into binding herself to the underworld and be his queen) people in ancient Greece were afraid of him so making him scary isn’t completely off although this version is more in line with the Medieval European depictions of Death.
@@willowweedsYT it's true, he was feared, but so were the other gods. And the incident with Persephone is why I phrased it the way I did :) Because that was his big show of being a jerk (to varying degrees, depending on which version we're talking about). On the other hand, Zeus kinda did that a LOT, and was still praised as the king of the gods. So... *shrug* But, I agree, this has more of a Xtian depiction of Death, or the Devil, to it. Still, a gorgeous sculpture!
Yeah, when he said "evil" I actually said "but he's not evil" out loud. He was a flawed God as was most gods from Greek Mythology. I love watching Overly Sarcastic Productions for really well represented stories from Greek, Roman and other mythology.
Very nice way of putting it! I was thinking “this is a really cool sculpture with a lot of really awesome bits.....but....*nerd alert* Hades wasn’t actually “evil”...” lol
Please sculpt Persephone/Kore his wife, she has a wonderful twisted story and is queen of the underworld. And if you're at it look for the webcomic lore olympus
And if you want to be very precise it would be Fuchur anyway since that is his original german name. :P They probably had to change it because of how the English pronunciation would end up with it :D
Guys, remember, these monsters are all in Ace’s personal monster universe, so they look the way he wants them to look and their morality skews the way he wants them to skew.
yeah but its still good to remember about apropriation thingie. i dont have a probem with "i sculpted a god of death like i imagine them to be", honestly but i have a proble with "i portrayed this part of someone else's culture and btw still existing religion to be this ridiculous-ass clown demon, feeding onto demonising something absolutely devoid of this conotations in actual mythos without any care for research and being respectfull for someones culture, because senturies of christian and white apropriation told me so lol"
@@sethamederat5841 maybe people should stop being offended by everything. There is no new idea in this world that is not inspired by something else aka appropriated. Including every modern religion, just a changed version of an older one.
Awesome work!👏🏼👏🏼 buuut... The Head/skull just looks a bit off to me🧐🤔 It’s more rounded , when it would look more "right" for the character if you’d make it more elongated and slightly more narrow and "sharp" somehow? Great work as usual tho! Much love from Oslo, Norway
Great! Enjoyed the process of doing the folds on the cape and the human torso was very realistic. Nice take on Hades- can’t wait for your next creation!
@@mr.midnight1349 true, but how many people actually know about him? It's not one of the first thought of characters of the Greek underworld. If that was the case... We would need to ask for his sisters The Keres. As he was the peaceful aspects of death and his sisters, the violent side. That's why I didn't add him. However Ace of Clay did make a grim Reaper. Maybe he could be used as a thanatos.
Thought this was rad until his head came on.. Maybe because Hades wasn’t evil, I sorta expected something a little different I guess.. But the details are rad!
The metallic paints are absolutely incredible on this sculpture! I love all his little adornments and details. Would love to see Persephone next, maybe with some mix of armor like Hades and flowers?
OH MAN I Seriously I THINK This IS AWARD WINNING!!! The BEST OF THE BEST!!! I have watched ALL your Videos And THIS ONE IS THE ONE that BLEW All the other ones OUT of the Water! You Make This Look SOOOOO EASY!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS ONE, HADES IS The BOMB!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CREATING THE BEST SCULPTURE EVER !!!
seeing that clay being peeled away is good to watch as it's relaxing on the eyes, but dude HADES is awesome. Also, would love to see what your take on Hercules would be like
Oh my- FINALLY!! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A TUTORIAL TO DO MALE ANATOMY IN MINIATURE AND I FINALLY FIND IT!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I loved the result and I loved every detail. I can't wait for the next creation 🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤
Well done Ace - so cool to watch you do the torso in the more accurate style - very helpful to see that. I think he looks great 👍🏽 I need to tackle this steam punk owl next ...
Oh thank you for the waist adornments, the wrinkles of his lower half ended up with a fold looking like he had a male anatomy hanging clear to the floor. His armor is awesome and he turns out great. You do such a great job on everything!
Dude, you surprise me every single time. It even makes me want to try sculpting. I loved the details!!! I, too, would love it if you decide to add more Greek Gods to your projects. But I'm always excited to see your next project.
Am I the only one who thinks it was like he switched styles halfway through? A super realistic torso with cartoon hands and face... It's a weird one. That body is beautiful though, I just wish the whole character had that level of realism!
I don’t know how you do these amazing sculpts and designs without planning them first!! 🙈 like, I need a reference or drawing or something to work with! Great work yet again 👍🏻
I love the sculpture! I’ve taken some inspiration from your videos and started doing some (very basic) pottery. I’d love to see a “Pegan” god series where you do different gods/goddesses/monsters from ancient myths. There’s a TON of lore you could voiceover like in the creepy pasta videos.
So sweet! Definitely going to be one of my fav sculpts! Also, I challenge you to do some sculpting with other materials other than clay. I’d love to see you work with fondant! I learned it was a lot harder to work with. Do you accept the challenge? I think it would make an interesting compilation. “Sculpting with other mediums” or something.
I just love how much attention to detail you do ... Your work always impresses me ... You are a wonderful artist/sculptor ... Thank you for all your creations you share with us ... #AceofClay
at 18:20 it reeeally looked like you were giving him a giant bushy mustache and it made me giggle like an idiot. This was a joy to watch and he's definitely in my top 5 favorite sculptures you've ever made.

The sculpture is fantastic. I was really digging the groove playing in the background. Keep that kind of music going.
It's great really would have loved to see a human face with a mask on him but still i love it
I know i sound like a broken record, but seeing you do the crawler from James VanderMeers book Annihilation would be amazing!
DAMNNNNN that turned out so fucking awesome i love it a lot
Now you should try something from Norse mythology or more greek mythology

Can't wait to see his bride Persephone a long with him.
That'd be amazing!
That would be great and match the Frankenstein bride too!
Yes plz
along
I hope he see's this
Please sculpt Persephone/Kore his wife, she has a wonderful twisted story and is queen of the underworld. And if you're at it look for the webcomic lore olympus
Or the webtoon Punderworld, they're both pretty good
I was expecting someone to make a comment about Lore Olympus😅
I only started 3 days ago but it is already one of my favourites
Here’s an idea. Do you think you could sculpt Falcor from the never ending story. I never seen anyone sculpt him before
Liahnna Rivas yes yes yes! I totally second this. Great idea :)
Faaalcoooore!
Hate to be ‘that guy’ but *falkor
I hate to be that guy but "falkor is a character from someones imagination so why cant it be both falcor and falkor?"*

Maybe you could sculpt your interpretation of Loki god of mischief, perhaps going with a more norse mythological style
backing this one... wowza...
Loki from before he kidnapped Idunn
Yes, yes! Loki would be perfect.
I am actually planing on sculpting them soon. Along with some others.
YES! This is the kind of sculpts that I enjoy watching you create! Nice work!

It’s fantastic! The staff and cape were my favorite part, it’s superrrr satisfying seeing the metallic paint go on 😲
Nice take on the Lord of Holy Heck! He looks like he would be at home in the MtG Theros setting!
Great! Enjoyed the process of doing the folds on the cape and the human torso was very realistic. Nice take on Hades- can’t wait for your next creation!
Would love to see more myth based sculpts. Also you could do a series based on the zodiac but in your style of course!
Hades looks amazing you outdid yourself on this :)
It's people like you who make the comment section better
Camdens Caramel Nuggets thank you :)
Ooh do Hecate, goddess of magic, next!!!
Or! The Horned King from The Black Cauldron!!! That dude scared the crap out of me as a kid!!!
You get better and better with each new sculpt. The details are impressive.
The detail on him is incredible, he looks SO good 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Now you just need to put Persephone, Charon and Cerberus next to Hades and you have the 4 most important people of the underworld.
Change Hayward
Great Idea, but he has already done Cerberus.
@@matthiasniederer479 I know... I'm hoping the idea of having them altogether will motivate him to make a diagram. 😂
Thanatos isnt important? Hes literally death

He literally said "HIS VERSION OF HADES".
Amazing. You just keep getting better and better. Love to see more mythological figures.
Would love to see a Greek Pantheon series, your interpretation is really cool.
The metallic paints are absolutely incredible on this sculpture! I love all his little adornments and details. Would love to see Persephone next, maybe with some mix of armor like Hades and flowers?
Amazing! I love when you put your own spin on preexisting figures, especially greek mythology!
Holy hell he turned out cool! Totally worth the week wait! He is one of my favorites you've done this year! You killed it, Anthony!
That body though 👌 damn, I gotta follow his workout routine 😅
Great vid as always!
Now you need to sculpt Hellboy. I can't get enough of your sculpting, you're work is great.
Love the added details. Worth waiting an extra week.
Really unique and cool version of Hades! I’d love to see your version of Persephone...particularly with the 1/2 dead, 1/2 alive theme like Hades.

Hades lookin pretty good! I like how yours has some different elements for hades, like the muscles. Its cool to see something fresh in designs.
Absolutely loved the small details and metallic paint!! 🙂
Who knew Hades had a six pack. I love him. Missed you last week, glad you’re back!
This is easily my favorite one you've made. It's so cool!
The detail on this one is amazing! Love it!
That's freakin wicked! Hades is my favorite Greek God
Beautiful!!!! Didn't mind waiting for 2 weeks at all after seeing this. Absolutely awesome!
Wow! Just wow! You have outdone yourself!! ❤️❤️❤️ Love this!
Incredible, your attention detail always blows my mind
By far my favorite sculpt of yours! Keep up the amazing work man!
I can tell that you put so much time into this one and he is amazing. I love all of the details and the way you painted him. Great job!!
Good gracious. I absolutely adore this 😌 Hades is my favorite out of all.
Easily one of my favorites you've done.
Really nice piece.
seeing that clay being peeled away is good to watch as it's relaxing on the eyes, but dude HADES is awesome. Also, would love to see what your take on Hercules would be like
Omg this looks very good (like all of your creations with clay!)
Super cool! I wouldn't mind seeing your take on Persephone!
This may be your best sculpt yet!
Anthony. Thank you for have clean, well groomed hands. Thank you.
He is very awesome and very worth the wait! The details are amazing!!!!!
Amazing! can't wait make sculpt of Elsa from Frozen movie 😁

Love this. Some useful techniques too, thanks Ace.
I love the metalic paints you use! They've been so usefull when I'm making weaponry or armour or vehicles out of Polymer clay
!
Love it. This is definitely my favourite sculpture so far
All of your sculptures are amazing
Love the super realistic torso, would be great to see more
Oh thank you for the waist adornments, the wrinkles of his lower half ended up with a fold looking like he had a male anatomy hanging clear to the floor. His armor is awesome and he turns out great. You do such a great job on everything!
You should make the babadook. Hades looks AMAZING BTW
Every time I think I've seen my favorite, you do one even better.
Dude, this is freakin awesome!!! Hades needed a sword/staff of caliber to his evil needs and you nailed it.
I'm not fond of the neck and face but the body is awesome!
Dude, you surprise me every single time. It even makes me want to try sculpting.
I loved the details!!! I, too, would love it if you decide to add more Greek Gods to your projects. But I'm always excited to see your next project.
Dude, you NAILED that torso!
He looks very awesome,
I would love to see Hercules aswell with the skin of Nemean Lion.
Fantastic interpretation of Hades, I love the horns! Makes me want to see more sculpts with horns.

I can already tell from the thumbnail it's gonna be good.
I loved this and my only negative comment would be to add more angular detail to the hands. They look soft. Thank you so much for this.
I'm cool with waiting every other week for more complex sculpts like this.
Excellent creation, exceptional attention to detailed ❤️
He is awesome, looks like you had a great time making him!
Got any plans to sculpt other deities of the underworld? It’d be interesting to see your takes on jackal-headed Anubis or half-woman-half-corpse Hel.
Your talent is amazing, but your patients absolutely blows me away! Is that something you were born with?
would love to see a horror/biblically accurate angel take on cupid!
Oh god that would be right up his alley
Or all the Greek Gods
TwofacedDemon as long as the Cupid is not like on Supernatural... That was weird...
Gosh, they're terrifying anyways.
