After using the $60 discount code, the final price is $269"

    I am 1 second in, and I have ZERO confidence in a battery that cost's this little. Yes - we all know 99% are made in China. But there is a reason products like SAFIERY, VICTRON etc are expensive. They use the best of everything. This is like comparing a Landcruiser 79 to a LDV etc.....Sure EVERYONE has their "price range" - but over my 53 years of hard life, I have realized that you almost ALWAYS get what you pay for. So my recommendation for all is - save for a few more months, then buy once, buy right!. When it comes to Lithium batteries for vehicles/4wd/caravans etc - it REALLY PAYS TO DO EXTENSIVE RESEARCH!. Sure brands like KINGS asre OK, but if you are spending 100-200K on a touring setup - then do yourself a favor and get the BEST components and have a professional set it up. Do NOT buy cheap Chinese crap. Just look at all the top of the line companies making Caravans etc - they almost all now use brands like Victron, Redarc and Safiery. - and use the same batteries/components like Fronius, Trina Solar etc. Now that the new LAW has come in regarding batteries - companies like SAFIERY are making batteries that are put outside or in outside panels like Sodium Ion etc. Like ANYTHING - you really are best off saving a bit longer to get a better product. Research is key - as almost all these companies will say their product is the best. Sure there is a "market" for these cheap AF brands - but not for your 150K plus car/boat/camper/caravan........

      I could not agree more. I always hate it when people say “it’s all made in the same factory”, implying that quality is all the same. The manufacturer will make it to the specifications the purchasing company is asking for. Back in my day, long before the invention of lithium batteries, car batteries were made by one of three manufacturers. So people would assume that a $200 Interstate battery was comparable to the $30 Sears, Roebuck, & Co. battery. I liked to explain the difference to them using their mother’s kitchen. Their mother could make them a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or she could make a 5 course, 5 star Michelin rated meal in that same kitchen. The difference is the ingredients and time spent.

    • @Techboxreview
      @Techboxreview  8 місяців тому +1

    • @truetech4158
      @truetech4158 8 місяців тому

      @@Techboxreview They should also sell them WITHOUT a BMS, such as for people buying batteries that will work rather than not work with things such as those many slow moving electric scooters that already have their own built in BMS that can't be bypassed.
      I just bought a expensive mistake that looks like that. The seller of the vehicle mislead me and originally said he couldnt sell the batteries with the vehicle, but after he shipped the vehicle he lies and says that I was supposed to also order the batteries directly through him, and I have ALL the book sized backnforth text adventure that he chose to create rather than a dignified exchange of my money for his being a lying manipulative scumbag named Jason from Runhorse. I just escalated above Jason and am going to send off evidence copies to his superiors and or coworkers so they know all about Smiley Liar Jason.

    Nice video. Newbie question: Can the battery be used under a load ( Car fridge) while charging Dc to Dc charger ?

    • @sparkletornado5890
      @sparkletornado5890 8 місяців тому +1

      You can but if you are charging with solar there is a risk the voltage from the panels can be seen on the system if the controler fails internally. I had issues when I was starting with some budget gear the battery would disconnect due to over voltage charge and 18v from the solar panel would go the the inverter and it would alarm with over voltage. There are some videos about the kings MPPT's failing and cooking batteries. They damaged them by connecting solar without a battery and fried the internals. You can put up to 50v into the kings MPPT units and a lot of the good gear goes up to 100's of volts. If the fridge can handle the voltage of the panel then it will be fine but if you are using a house panel that might be 30-50v and you should have some protection for downstream equipment. Hope that helps.

    • @Techboxreview
      @Techboxreview  8 місяців тому +1

      You shouldn’t have a problem if you get yourself a good quality dc to dc charger. Victron would be the best choice
