I get why the rule's there, but some of the NHL refs REALLY deserve what these refs got and then some. I'm kinda curious now if any players decided the consequences were worth it to them and just laid out a ref? Like an intent to injure penalty but aimed at a ref. I'm fairly sure I saw a clip of that happening in a Russian league, but I'm curious if it has happened in the NHL or even the CHL or American equivalent. I also think the refs should be able to, and be obligated to call the play if the puck hitting them or a linesman interferes with the play as much as some of the plays in the first one. Literally gave the puck to the guy looking at an empty net when the defenseman was clearly going to beat him to the puck.
Officials being able to touch players whenever they want and as much as they want but players immediately getting kicked out if they touch any official is bullshit
Why these Refs and Linesman, are they given police Protection, fans should be allowed to go after them off the property, they have no more rights then me, and I am a US CITIZENl
They get escorts because of people like you. You really want to go to jail just because you didn't like a call? Maybe you should just watch ESPN highlights.
Kane kept trying to get after Engelland that whole time. The Ref was trying to keep him away, Kane tried to get past him, and they both fell. Ref was only going his job and Kane escalated the whole thing
@@SonicGlitchmaster1 you were watching a different game to everybody else. They'd clearly given up trying to get after eachother and were back to following the puck. Kai T Lmao are you blind? Maybe Kane had given up at that point but Engelland clearly wanted some more cause you can very obviously see him staring down Kane and skating closer. Ref ended up grabbing Kane but it could’ve just as easily been Engelland
@@SonicGlitchmaster1 they're looking at eachother... so what? It's clear that the possibility of them fighting at that time had passed. Dont really follow ice hockey at all. But why do the refs hold onto the players? I know if I was that angry I wouldn't want anyone touching me let along holding me and getting in my face. And most of these are just shoves, kinda expect that if I grabbed onto someone when they were pissed off.
It's a good rule. If they hit the officials the game has gone to shit. They are there to control the game, not get verbally and near physically abused.
Why don’t you change the video name to abuse of the official penalties Because I hardly seen any abuse to these attention seeking officials And the Evander Kane one was absolutely pathetic and a disgrace that the ref wasn’t disciplined for that garbage.
It's always been in the rule in any sport. And if a ref decides that someone needs to leave because they are a danger the ref will remove them, especially when they are close to hitting officials. It's just that it doesn't happen often.
@@thatguy8738 But to add to that refs can abuse this. Take for example a month or so ago during a Preds Hawks game, the ref announced a penalty on Patrick Kane for a slash (that was hardly a slash) and Kane skated past the ref and said "Fuck off" and at the moment the ref added an unsportsmanlike penalty to Kane making him stay in the box for 4 minutes in total. When you apply to be a ref, your number one priority is to not think and act on your emotions and in a case like the Patrick Kane incident, that ref got caught in his emotions and abused his power. I'm not saying that we shouldn't have these types of penalties especially when a NHL player or any player in any league shows a threat/danger to officials, but there is cases where refs abuse this power when someone says something they don't want to hear.
@@GraveMemories It's quite entertaining to watch a grown man beg for money and cry over video games. Can't forget how he attempts to act like he's some stud who gets all the ladies.

They are allowed to separate players with force if needed...but a player can't do anything to them without getting a 10 minute misconduct
Ovi don’t play that. Love that guy.

Officials being able to touch players whenever they want and as much as they want but players immediately getting kicked out if they touch any official is bullshit
Why these Refs and Linesman,
are they given police Protection, fans should be allowed to go after them off the property, they have no more rights then me, and I am a US CITIZENl
They get escorts because of people like you. You really want to go to jail just because you didn't like a call? Maybe you should just watch ESPN highlights.
@@MysticDeadman221 , they are no different then me, as most are non American's, they have no rights in this Country
@@josephlipetzky2825 Oh good, you're a bigot. I probably should've seen that coming.
@@josephlipetzky2825 See this is why nobody likes your country, people like you.
God I hate referees so much lol
Why
You can't blame Kane the ref took him down for no reason.
The linesman was just panicking like it was his first day in little league and took a guy down in the middle of play. He's lucky kanes reaction was to shove him off and not throw a punch.
The ref made a dumb mistake and was way out of line for having kane tossed, rather than apologising to him. I know refs act like infallible ass holes because the league thinks people will respect them for it but it works quite the opposite.
Dont really follow ice hockey at all. But why do the refs hold onto the players? I know if I was that angry I wouldn't want anyone touching me let along holding me and getting in my face. And most of these are just shoves, kinda expect that if I grabbed onto someone when they were pissed off.
these NHL officials are bush league !
This seriously needs to be a major + game misconduct. Players can't be allowed to act like morons and shove the refs.
Ok boomer
To be homest, the ref who grabbed E kane deserves more than a push.
@Thack the knights player kept going after him my guy, Kane tried to skate away several times
Did you see the huge slash Kane hit the ref with???
If the ref gets scared or his feelings hurts is a misconduct. This “rule” needs to be gone, as do the refs who wont man up and not support it.
It's a good rule. If they hit the officials the game has gone to shit. They are there to control the game, not get verbally and near physically abused.
Worst Officiating of all sports
NHL refs: Makes shit calls, get called out, tosses whoever called them out because their fragile feelings are hurt.
Evander Kane's penalty was legit the most bullshit penalty i have ever seen wtf
Slashing a ref and then push im afther? I smell bullshit on your pathetic comment.
Kane did nothing wrong
Game day
Refs get so but hurt about little things like Crosby chirping the refs refs chirp to players too some times
Refs are little drama queens!
refs are such whiners.
The optimal impulse successfully communicate because beggar bacteriologically lighten till a public frown. first, talented recess
Jens wont pin this
Why don’t you change the video name to abuse of the official penalties
Because I hardly seen any abuse to these attention seeking officials
And the Evander Kane one was absolutely pathetic and a disgrace that the ref wasn’t disciplined for that garbage.
The penalty is called "Abuse of Officials" in the rule book...
Refs shouldn't be able to call these kinds of penalties it makes the league look soft. This isn't MLB for gods sake.
Heloooooo

My god the refs are so immature, their feelings get hurt so they give the players a penalty for it claiming they’re being “Abused”
Because yelling at the refs for your own mistakes is super mature.
Caleb Angell most of these aren’t the players mistakes, they’re arguments, there’s a difference, the refs have no right to claim they’re being abused when they get yelled at
@@PackJoyTheHogBoy Yeah they do, the rule is literally called Abuse of officials.
Warnier would you claim you’re being abused when someone shoved you because they wanted you to let them go? Or maybe if you got yelled at when someone didn’t agree with you on something you said? Some calls are fair, some aren’t, these are examples of the more unfair spectrum of “Abuse of Officials” calls
@@PackJoyTheHogBoy This isn't the street though, it's a sport, and in a sport you can't fuck with the refs. That's just how it is.
