This might surprise you but there's a difference in slamming sticks and breaking them. Quick smacks the shaft above the paddle against the post which causes it to snap with very little effort while Rask is slamming the base of his paddle and blade. Guy comes to me, I'm like, gimme the toe drag, bitch, I'm ready!
Guy toe drags me and I know I got him as I'm gonna play the body, somehow, puck slips through my feet and he barely but still gets around me, retrieves the loose puck behind me and scores. I would've broken my stick if I wasn't poor, so I cussed a flight of crows off of a tree to cope on the moment. I felt like such a tool and humiliated. Still remember that feeling.

It only appears that way, but in reality way too many variables come into play from after the clock stops to the point where the game ends. A billion possible combinations of variables impact the outcome of events. That lost 1.1 seconds has no impact - there is no causal chain you can point to that results in the outcome being different.

We lose games that we should easily win and just take every miserable effort followed by a loss in stride like it's no big deal. I'm getting tired of it.
