Shepard. One thing you should've mentioned about biotics is that the implants (from my understanding) just help channel the biotics. We know you are either born a biotic or not a biotic at all. Since 1/10 humans (if I'm remembering the codex about biotics right) are born as a biotic
Biotics can't be hacked, biotic implants are just signal amplifiers of a biological hability, biotic beings have said powers thanks to tumors generated on their bodies by exposing themselves to Element Zero (Ezzo) in early stages of their lifes.
What if shepherd and chief switched universes and Shepard goes through the spartan program and chief gets biotic implants. Shep gets cortana and chief gets edi. Did you hear about that Cancelled Crossover Between halo and DOOM ( master chief was going to meet the doomslayer. That honestly could have been a movie and an alternate ending for halo 3 😢 )
I believe master chief has situational awareness enough to constantly have annoying tactics like holding a grenade in his hand when he gets stun locked and using it in an unorthodox way but without his insane luck the biotics are doing too much.
Imagine every clone trooper. In Star Wars being a spartan, 2 and have mass effect Bionics, that would be cool to see ( And for the final touch, just add fallout FEV, and you get Star Wars version of a space marine or a thunder warrior )
Why is "master chiefs shielding is advanced enough it was built to protect agaunst weapons they didnt know existed, but we cant say for sure it could block biotics without evidence." And "biotic implants cant be hacked because weve never seen them hacked by these people who barely understand them. They must have some sort of defense even though we havent seen it." And in the next the argument is that we can assume there js a defense against this tech even though weve never seen it. It sounds like your just trying to put the burden of proof always on the other side.
The way I've seen it Shepard has the better guns but Chief has the better armor, given that Chief's armor was capable of withstanding the heat of re-entry into Earth's atmosphere plus the crash back on Earth while Shepard's armor got severely damaged tanking Harbinger's laser.
Kat's ACTUAL feat is this: She was hanging upside down from a steel cable by her thighs and one arm, swinging from said cable off a tower in the Unyielding Hyrophant and sniping a pilot out of a maneuvering Banshee that was doing attack runs on the rest of Blue Team, not damaging the Banshee at all, but rather shooting through the crack in the side of the cockpit.
14:40 Technically it’s both biological and technological as we see in the me codex the implants are used to channel the energy better but we know some extremely skilled people can use the energy without biontics. We learned that kids were genetically altered from the element zero effects and over time genes adapted and kids started to develop strange abilities. The biotics was the equivalent to a hearing aid not needed necessarily but makes it way easier to live with the ability to manipulate the fundamental principles of physics

Y'all immediately get into the argument instead of breaking the characters down to figure things out rationally, I both hate and love it. 😂 John 117 has the physical strength, speed, and durability advantage over Shepard, that's pretty clear. One survived a drop from orbit, the other did not; one can do a fuckton of pull-ups, but the other can flip a fuckin tank. Their weapons are pretty equivalent I'd say, but Shepard gets the whole cake in the powers department with the tech and biotic abilities at his disposal, (especially the biotics). Experience and Battle IQ I'd also have to give to Shepard by a hair, but only because Shepard has a more varied skill set outside of just being a super soldier; that being said, a death match is a death match, and I highly doubt Shepard's diplomacy experience would come in handy here. I really don't see him talk-no-jitsuing Master Chief into pulling a Saren and deleting himself. Ultimately, I think it really just boils down to what Shepard we're talking about here. Master Chief's character and feats are all pretty set in stone through the books and games, Shepard is a lot more ambiguous to the point that they don't even have a canon gender. If we're just talking basic bitch Soldier class Shepard with one or no biotic abilities, or Engineer Shepard, I think Master Chief mops the floor with them. If we're talking Adept, Vanguard, or Composite Shepard with access to all abilities, then Shepard wins, Mid-High Dif.
I should've pressed the point that while Shepard wins over all. He wins 6 times out of 10. Shepard has too many ways to approach the fight with Mass effect tech. While Chief has to bring the best of his arsenal to level the playing field with the majority of Shepard's since they all shoot Faster than light and dozens of them are much more powerful than Chief's.
@Dougpumper8059 Halo and ME's weaponry is actually pretty evenly matched; sure the UNSC's weaponry overall is a bit technologically lacking in comparison, but Covenant and Forerunner tech both match and surpass Mass Effect's weapon tech in some ways. Not trying to sound condescending, but y'all should read Mass Effect's codex, it explains the weapons fairly well including the fact that most of the handheld weaponry in ME doesn't fire FTL projectiles. Don't get me wrong, their weapons are FAR better than any powder-actuated force multiplier could ever hope to be, they can reach up to light speed, but the weapon actually calibrates the type and speed of the projectile to maximize energy transfer to the target. It's fascinating stuff, but a lot of Halo's weaponry can compete IMO, Krogans would LOVE gravity hammers. What really isn't fair here for Chief though is Biotics; the in-game representations of biotics are pretty limited for balance, but just look at Jack. Chief wouldn't have any defense against some of the Jedi shit Shepard could pull on him with them, and it basically negates his physical edges over Shepard. In the Citadel DLC, Liara and James even kind of demonstrate this.
Saying Halo aliens are regular dudes and Mass Effect enemies are special is wild. I never played mass effect, but from what aliens I've seen, as in those that join your gang, they're pretty generic. Maybe it's because at some point the game lets you bed them so they had to make them as humanoid as possible for the "players" (does that count as a pun?) In terms of Cortana hacking bionics, they aren't hacked because no one in Mass Effect understands them is my take. Cortana on the other hand, she figured out what the Halo was about and how to use stuff on it within minutes. For sake of evening the field, lets scale the reapers up to forerunner level. The small amount of tech in the individual would be learned within less than a second. So yah, answer to the stuff being hackable is very important, if talking about a shepherd that chose that class path. Saying either character can dodge light because you saw it in an animated movie is similar to taking flowery language literally. They're made to hype stuff up, to excite the reader/viewer. I don't care if it's the Master Herder or Commander Cheff, neither of them are dodging the beam coming from a sniper jackal in Halo 2 on Legendary.
Biotics aren't a form of technology they're natural skills enhanced by chemical implants. Yes Rouga stated Chief's enemies are basic soldiers but we replied to that and even though we were right that didn't change the outcome of the fight/discussion
16:09 biotics work because of element zero being in the individuals system. Their blood and muscle and brain and everything. A trained biotic can use their abilities with a thought, just brain signals. Biotic implants just make this process easier by amplifying the brain input.
Shepards advantage is biotics and charisma. Chiefs advantage is skill, strength, and more skill. Shepard has a dedicated stealth ship and a crew. Chief is alone. If shepard can gather a crew he has a solid advantage.
Ok random idea but bubble shield generator with a smaller generator inside it so the generator has a smaller bubble shield around it-immortal bubble shield
Video 2 of asking you to do a chimera challenge of some sort. I think you’d really have a lot of fun with them. Doesn’t matter what you do, have a good time. Maybe a survival challenge of characters dropped into resistance earth.
I don't think I heard one big issue, Spartan-IIs are stealth experts, Chief would just strike from the shadows with a damn railgun or even the M99 Stanchion rifle from range with the first shot. Which would end the fight in one shot either way, the round on both goes relativistic, and is so heavy compared to the Mass Effect DUST GUNS that they'd rip right through the shield and then the armor.
For the biological or tech argument for biotics, they are a NATURAL ability. Implants just help focus, control and increase the power of biotics. I am not sure if you covered that in the part I am on yet, but if you did, I will correct/delete this post.
Master Chief is the average of all the Spartans, he's literally the composite Spartan-2. His skill level is higher on base than Shepard, Shepard would have legit died if he went to one battle Chief did. They just can't really be compared, the power level of ME vs Halo isn't really close.
@@alecstapley9709 To be fair, Commander Chief doesn’t make sense. John is called Master Chief because he’s a Master Chief Petty Officer. If he became a Commander he’d just be Commander John which is…lame.
The biotics use an amplifier not a computer. You cant hack an amplifier. They are called an amplifier. You cant hack things that are not computers. Also humans can use biotics without an amp its just weak.
At the end of the day the Chief should only be able to bring UNSC issued weapons, meaning the SPNKer is an option. Between that and high velocity armour piercing rounds that can take the hat off an Elite at 2000yrds. Shep is gonna have to put the Chief down fast. Question is how effectively can an M8 or M7 drop chiefs shields or get throught that Titanium?
The UNSC collected covenant and Forerunner weapons as they came across them. That's why they're Relevant and Shepard can overcome Chief's armor with a variety of weapons. It comes down to Shepard having more options to win the fight than Chief does.
@Dougpumper8059 I'm not convinced that any of those options are gonna be enough, tho. Shepard got taken out by a bit of Normady debris. Chief flew through 2 exploding ships to deliver a bomb. If anything that should prove that the durability difference is enough for Chief to tank just about any of Shepards options.
You’re talking about Damping which shuts down all tech and biotic abilities even from Asari who don’t use Biotic Implants. The ability has nothing to do with implants. It’s also an ability that only appears in ME 1. In 2 and 3 the Engineer gets Sabotage and Overload neither of which affect Biotics.
Simple answer, no. Complicated answer, hell no. Shepherd can't throw a tank. Nor does he have near unbreakable bones, or super human reflexes. Toast, easy day for chief. Compare Shepherd to rambo, rambo is a human. Not a super human. Master chief is more in line with the physicality of a krogan, even then cheif would be tossing a krogan around like a pitbull with a chihuahua.
@rougarabid I don't really need to, to understand that a literal super human isn't gonna have even the minutest of issues man handling a slightly augmented person. Nothing in the games says they have super reflexes, or near unbreakable bones. They have reinforced bones, which puts their bone structure on the same durability as steel. But not on the same level as chiefs near unbreakable bones. Cheif could tie a bow tie out of steel. They have augments that make them have a slightly higher than normal perception of speeds, but they aren't superhuman enough to take advantage of any kind of "blitz-like" shenanigans to normal people. Shepherd is not a superhuman. Chief is. Simple as.
