Facts. Giants offered Saquons bum ass 3 contract extensions from 2022-2024 just for him pull a James Bradberry and sign with the beagles. He said he wanted to stay in NY and that he doesn’t care about money. “I want to play for NY im not tryna reset the rb market” was being a WHOLE DIVA just to go to the beagles for 1 mill more per year than what the Giants offered. 🤦🏽‍♂️ mind you saquon is from New York! So I believed him when he said “I love NY. This is where I want to end my career” yet he declined 14 mill per year (which was worth more then henry contract) I swear These players be full of sht!

The problem: Jerry Jones. Dallas will never win a SB going forward with him as owner. When you throw money at an idea and expect things to just happen, youre creating your own facade, but for the fans its been a nightmare.

I agree entirely with this comment, it’s been a problem for 2 NFC East teams up until last year, the commanders, and the cowboys. Snyder didn’t do anything with the team after he bought it no matter what he said, he could get the good players alongside decent to just god awful staff, but that was it. Jerry Jones is too old to own the team and needs to sell it to someone who isn’t in anyway related to him. Someone who is young, and can make wise decisions with staffing. The cowboys won’t be going anywhere with him as their owner, no matter how many times he says they’re going all in.

Excellent analysis. I am not a Cowboy fan, but there is no question that the Cowboys have mismanaged their situation. They waited too long and allowed other teams decisions to force their hand. They have to keep CD Lamb, they have no choice. They may have no choice but to let Dak Prescott walk, take the cap hit and move on to Trey Lance. I agree that, once again, the Eagles front office is showing the rest of the NFL how to manage players' expectations and salary cap simultaneously.

Letting another team dictate how much you pay a player. That's ridiculous. You give the player a fair offer. If they don't take it, take the draft picks. Let him walk because being the QB the Dallas cowboys comes with a lot of incentives and endorsements that you don't get on other teams so that's his choice. If he wants to walk that's what I say. This is the year they are actually gonna go to the Superbowl because this is the first time in 18 years that nobody has any belief that they are the "most talented team in the NFL" as they have literally been saying every year since 2006 when Romo became the starter. I have lived off and on in the Dallas area since 2015 and it has literally been this exact same thing since 2006. This is the first year it has been different. Even when I lived in other cities it was the same talking points, I came back to Dallas it's the been the same thing. New coaches hired, shiny new players signed or drafted "we goin to the Superbowl" they say every year. I came back the same thing til this year. This will be the year they actually do it because people will mostly bet against them because they don't believe in Dak Prescott and Las Vegas will clean up. Don't believe me just watch. Then people for the next 20 years will act as if they have won the last 30 Superbowls as if the last 30 years never happened. The Rangers just won the World Series, the Mavericks are about to win the NBA Championship and the Cowboys will win the Superbowl. Then Ma$e will become a fan of everything Dallas and start wearing Cowby hats and start talkin bout Dallas is "titletown" all year.

I’m an eagles fan so I’m loving all this… but in fairness backloading a QB’s contract is the smart thing to do. Hell it’s what Howie does with his biggest offensive contracts. The problem is they don’t know how to actually manage it. Your supposed to extend it towards the end to relieve the cap hit, or restructure it into signing and roster bonuses once it’s eligible, since they don’t count against the cap. The prob is some owners don’t like doing it cause they have to pay more of it at once. Howie and Jeffrey Laurie actually understand doing that don’t matter cause they was gonna get that money anyways. Cowboys front office is dumb AF and I love it lol

The disaster isn't the Dak and Lance issue, nor the Lamb issue. The disater is the Cowboys front office! Why trade a 4th rounder for Lance who had proven nothing! We just saw 3 former first round picks go for 6th round trades!!!! Why trade for a 4th round pick for a former 1st round pick and not even pick up his 5th year option? How is he leverage against Dak? Lance in no universe is better than Dak nor any of the top 25 QBs. That's not a knock on him but you get better in any game by playing real time football against the best! He doesn't even have 30 games under his belt. And many are not clearly hearing the things Dak is saying, let me make it clear: DAK IS IN THE BEST POSITION HE HAS EVER BEEN IN AS A QUARTERBACK AND I WOULD DARE SAY ANY QUARTERBACK IN HISTORY! He is in his prime, 30 years old, gets to hit free agency next year with no holds whatsoever! He wins if the Cowboys pay him or not! He gets to possibly pick a serious contender next season if everything fall into place!! Wow! And Dak is always politically correct! What was he supposed to say about Trey Lance, "he hasn't improved?" Not to mention it seems to be the plan for the Cowboys to brag on Lance who is a free agent also at the end of the year that maybe they can trade him for a higher pick than what they gave up if he does good in the preseason! Dak's not worried! And Lance is not the future because if he is as good as they are saying teams will easily outbid Dallas at the end of the season if he isn't traded. CeeDee will get signed. Unfortunately, missing all of the OTAs and possibly training camp will get him off to a slow start this season which will have many wondering if he was worth the contract. Again, the disaster is and has been the Cowboys front office.

Honestly, I'm so sick of hearing about all the poor, little football players who need bigger contracts. The average American is struggling to put food on the table and keep the lights on due to inflation, and players are asking for insane amounts of money right now. I mean, I get that these guys have a skill set the average American doesn't, and I'm not saying they don't deserve to get paid well, but this is getting ridiculous! In my lifetime, I probably couldn't spend 10 million if I tried, and these guys are making 3-5 times that in a single year. I mean, how fraking greedy has the NFL, it's owners and players become? Is it ever enough? How much excess do people need these days? Does anyone ever invest anymore to grow their money, or do they just blow through it all 5 years after they retire? And you know who's going to ultimately end up paying these guys' salaries, - the fans. Increased ticket prices, internet/cable prices, and increased prices on memorabilia. I mean, I'm just trying to figure out if I'm going to be able to afford to WATCH my favorite games this season...

He deserved to be paid &Zeke got paid, Dak actually got better as a passer &the offense changed to a more pass heavy attack which effected Zeke's numbers. But Zeke was always much more of a positive than a negative, I don't get why we everyone wants to rewrite history. Longtime lurker, first time poster...what's your take on the salary cap?? I get the basics on league "equity", but it seems to discourage keep and paying the best players at their positions (especially if one is the quarterback)?
As a Cowboy fanatic, I don't mind admitting that Mahomes and Kelce should be at the top of their respective position list annually??
Additionally, how is the salary cap calculated, I think it should be 25=45 percent of the average franchise value? 2023 Broncos sold for $5 billion, and salary cap was around $225 million...
Again, i love the cowboys and loved Romo, but it was never an issue paying him...Dak is better than Jones, Washington qb and has better head-to-head stats with Hurts...PAY DAK!!
    What's your thoughts??
