    Dear Sirs,
    Very good idea to start froom the meaning. WIth all respect, hjow about starting from the oerigin, as the Kendo. Any civilization was willing to use weapons, cold or even fire-based ones, and bare hand fighting came into play only after having lost the advantages of the two mention erlier.     Muithai class would already have lot's of combos done instead of talking about Japanese language and real clinch vs lost karate grappling techniques...

      A normal karate class would spend more time drilling as well. This is from a seminar. Seminars tend to go deeper into details.
      That takedown was fairly standard too, not lost at all.
