    Saw a video on water reflection where the artist pointed out that darks are always lighter and lights are always darker in the reflection…been observing in life and it’s true! Love the new perspective at Stow! Hey Tad!!

    Friends painting party , Michael’s narrative voice at palette mixing, 3:47 children’s faint audible of playful voices, a contented sleeping abstract , “” as a face closed eyes on a pillow “” . This is a beautiful day 🥹🙂💭❤️

    I always think I love the beach best, but every time you paint at stow lake it is one of my favorite videos. Love the group too, and Cedric’s poetic vibe.
    You encouraged me to nudge my artistic family members into their first plein air paint out at a local pond while I was visiting Utah. We all had a lot of fun, and I think they want to do it more often.

      My friend and fellow Plein air painter calls me the queen of green lol. I love trees and forests. Naturally I had to learn greens, in order to separate, make sense of dimension and distance in space, and shadows and light. I'm still learning water, which I also love. Your information about how to use the direction of painting reflections vertical and water movement horizontal to achieve realistic water was invaluable. Thank you for your videos. I especially love seeing the different styles of painting by different artists.

    I too love the texture Cedric achieved. It almost looks like a mosaic. Mike’s painting is such a great composition. I love the drama and the way Tad “rode the wave”. Michael can i just ask why it looks so pleasing to see the under sketch(burnt sienna i think) show through especially around the sky? I can only think orange and blue are complementary colours. For me it is why i love your seascapes.

    • @chamberlainpaintings
      @chamberlainpaintings  2 роки тому +3

      Yes, having little bits of the compliment popping through makes the dominant color more vibrant. With the seascapes I think it's the warm/cool relationship between the blue green and the orange that creates vibrancy and vitality. In the past I've accidentally painted over the burnt sienna tone/sketch and I've had to add back some orange to revitalize it.

    13:07 - Picasso enthusiasts would enjoy this palette, low foreground center, where easily seen , a silver spoon, it’s handle, not fully present, although once seen, the item is an anchor to this reality, also, , it’s handle is not full in length, it extends under the “ multiplicity “ shown above, left and right. A symphony of layered imagery, art and fashion blended minds eye of imagination represented, “” look top right, if you’ve found the spoon, see a white faces clown, with a hat, beanie of sorts, red ball on top, his right eye is not visible. this , to me is the second most likely seen after the spoon, both of different realities. many garments, their patterns, many faces, their makeups, throughout this palette imagery, print an 8x10, hang in on the wall , maybe live with it for a little bit 🙂 ( * if you slo mo into the palette at 13.04 , where the brush is suspended, freeze, - at far left in the purple , see the first face, a progression of others project across to the right, you arrive at the hat far right, looking back , see each countenance a different color. 3rd more difficult to see , beautiful in arrangement, much more in this abstract, ,
