7 years not starting it and letting it catch on fire not to mention rust wow he really loves that bike
If he would not like it, what would it look like?
I know, it's weird, I think there's a lot more that's not right with this bike. The owner let it rot basically.
@@fernfreeman1729 it's steve's bike,anyone who owns it is nothing more than a caretaker,its priceless,only one
@@strattuner Condition is everything.

Bike owner..... I can’t take that man....it means too much to me!...... means that much to him he’s let it rust and deteriorate, let it catch fire and hasn’t fixed it......and hasn’t started it in 7 years..... real love of his life right there.
Yeah right. 👍
Yeah ..a wanker

yup
This is the one time Rick is probably happy he did not get the bike. I read the guy restored it then only got $99k at auction for it. So in reality he should have accepted the $85k offer and he would have been better off.
You said that he restored the bike. The question is how good the restoration job was. A crap restoration may DECREASE the value of the bike. I suspect that his restoration attempt was similar to how he cared for that bike.
@@HistoryGe3k I have no idea since it looked good in the pics.
@@HistoryGe3k if it were anyones else's bike what you said would be true, but there are those who don't give a crap about the money, its the bragging and ownerships rights to an heirloom of the highest order,STEVE'S BIKE WILL ALWAYS BE VALUABLE,NOT IN DOLLARS,LAID BARE TO THE WORLD ------------DESIRE
So Rick was right. 100k at auction
The guy deserved it left it untreated bragged about it thinking it was worth way more so the guy got his karma and it was well deserved
Rick increased his offer TWO times!! He really really really liked that bike 😂
Rather, he liked Steve McQueen
Why in america do you say Two times, it is twice.
@@phillipbooth5378 it's because "twice" is often used when the VALUE goes up two times.
(Example: $10,000 to $20,000 is twice)
"Two times" is used to represent the number of FREQUENCY.
(Example: 1st offer is $10,000 and 2nd offer is $15,000)
@@phillipbooth5378 idk, that's how we say it? Maybe to emphasize and add effect? Besides how America does it is the only thing that matters 😎
I got to meet Steve McQueen when working on his neighbor's house ( the Pritchetts) back in '77-'78.He kept most of his bikes in his garage and road daily. His favorites were the (2) 1919 Aces-one with a sidecar and a '47 Indian Chief Rat.He'd take them to the Trancas Market and back.....he loved his bikes and talked about them and showed them off to almost anyone(me!) Steve really was cool.....
Thanks for some history. Best part of youtube is still in the comments section. Cheers bro.
It means so much to me. That’s why I let it catch on fire.
So much that I let it sit around damaged after the fire was extinguished.
Needs an asskick.
That guy is a moron Rick offered 85k on something that had more issues than money to be made with. What a moron.
If he only had a girlfriend instead of sisters..
MadPriestFather he’s a old giezer says it means too much to him but he let it rust didn’t fix the fire damage it’s gonna be gone in a bit after someone steals it and this loser doesn’t get a penny o of it
If he's a collector, this bike would not be in this condition.
I saw that bike in Santa Paula Ca. in 1978 in an airplane hanger and it was shown to me, with my friend Warren by Mr McQeen. There was about 50 other old Harleys but they were all really old and in bad shape, this Indian was his baby and it was beautiful , stock and all original.
Rick - i'll give 290 million and my shop including all future assets.
Bike Guy - no, i cant do that. It means too much to me.
Steve mcqueens 1970 crap bike just sold for 250k. A bike that's actual worth is $1500.
So yeah I'm guessing his 40s bike might be worth just a tad more.

Lol. That DF should have took the 85k.
The seller seemed a little too greedy. He could've went down to at least $90,000 and Rick probably would've bought it from him at that price
I thought the very same thing
If guy restored this motorcycle Rick would said: It's worth much more in unrestored condition. So you can't win with Rick either way.
there is restore and restore. Most of the time what americans think about restoring (especially amateurs) is replacing it with "better" newer parts. Then of course value goes down the drain.
It depends on what it is some are worth more unrestored other things are worth more restored it's best if you know which are which. Doesn't take am Einstein to figure that out
No, Rick would’ve said it was worth more when professionally restored
fun fact: Rick jizzed his pants 3 times during the clip
Jba 99 More like 💩 his panties.
my grandfather (my mother's dad) was a Kentucky Derby level horse jockey...until he was riding one of these exact motorcycles...he put it down, the first guy who stopped to help him WASN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO LIFT IT OFF OF HIM...they needed to wait for 2 more guys is the story I got...
Rick: it would be priceless to collectors!
Also Rick: 85, not a penny more!
In our next episode: Rick buys John Voight's LeBaron.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
I got along famously with my hand.
This is one of the funniest ones yet
I got along famously with your moms hand ..
It means so much to me. That’s why I trashed it.
I've probably watched this clip a dozen times, and I still can't believe that this was not taken care of properly.
Yeah no kidding it was so uncool how it wasn’t treated properly
bike was sold in an auction for $99,450 he should have taken rick's offer .... commission and other fee's from auction would only land around 70k+
People give Rick a lot of shit for "low balling" customers, but the customers agree to it and everybody wins. If someone is truly desperate for cash and has to sell xyz item, that's their own fault, not Rick's.
If it was mr Browns bike everybody would get along famously
It would be a life time changing.

Steve McQueen and Mr.Brown got along so famously that the motorcycle caught fire . The bike owner caught the pass from YA tittle and Tittle thought it was sooo fun. But the bike has a name engraved on it.
It's still the holy grail of cat's meowzz
I like how Chum was consoling Rick at the end cause the deal fell through
thats what Rick gets for being cheap, lololo
Seller: This is Steve McQueens bike.
Chum: did Steve McQueen ride it?
Seller: nah bro he just owns it! 🤣😂🤣
MR BROWN IS BACK BOYS
Mr. Brown took one of his famous motorcycle vacations. Of course he's back
Old episode he really isn’t back.
I knew a person with a camper he never used, I stopped to ask what he wanted for it, which was as much as a newer better model, I passed this place every few weeks, never budging on price, this camper never moved and eventually "Rotted" to where he had to pay someone to haul it off. I'll never understand people like this. Pawn shops are for a quick easy sell, if you want retail then go sell it on Ebay and stop wasting everyone's time.
I'll give you $19.95 and a chrome valve stem cap I stole from the Truck Stop.
He said "it's the cost of money." Lol. That's a new one. Haha.
He meant time value of money. A dollar today is not the same as a dollar tomorrow. Plus, keeping something in storage actually costs money to him. He pays rent, utilities, salaries, mortgages etc etc. You can't realize this immediately but it all adds up in the end and he needs to take this into account.
It sold last month 5/24 in Belgium for $119,500. It was running and has had a sympathetic restoration.
"It means too much to me" but yet he hasn't started the engine in like 7 years and not bothered fixing it up?
Indian 4 is one of my all time favorite bikes
That bike is a piece of art
Mr. McQueen and Mr. Brown got along famously
Such iconic bike old is gold...you will get more buyer to buy that bike.
Mr. Brown famously gets his balls inbetween every deal Rick makes.
2 years in a row,I pitted next to,and borrowed parts from Steve McQueen at the Elsinore Grand Prix, circa 1968/69
Sounds cool and made up at the same time
oh yeah right "this bike means too much to me" thats why he left it rusting in a garage and didn't get it fixed when it caught fire.....a real family treasure that thing is....
I have seen lot of these videos, I don't know how many videos, all I know , I can't wait for the next...anyways, Love when Rick Jr laughed, made me to laugh with. 👍👍👍
Also a absolute FAV, McQueen
A 1940 Indian 4 in good running condition without welds on the motor case and matching #'s is worth $65-85K.
A 4 is a "holy grail" collector bike. Add Steve McQueen to the equation, and at the Vegas auction even in it's present condition, the owner would net at least $120K. Still, $85K "as is" ain't ridiculous. It seems laughable the present owner would try to sell it
with the obvious fire damage and non-period plug wiring.
northerniltree might feet 120 at auction, then lose 30% in auction fees. Leaving about 85,000. He offered to much for it at 85.
@@JasonGroom that 30% auction fee that the show claims is a lie. Expensive auctions are 15% and high end auctions are closer to like 7%-10%
@@nn-nu8hf Commissions are at both ends at an auction. The seller pays more with a reserve price, and the buyer pays at least a 10% premium. Keep in mind the shipping charges to (and often from) Vegas with an unsold bike. Add to that the seller may be present at auction with his own travel and accommodation costs. On top of that, generally speaking values have stagnated or declined in recent years. It would be interesting to know if this bike has since sold, and for what $.
You screwed up this deal! You won't get more that 85k on this bike!!
If I was the guy I'd get it tidied up myself and at least running before even considering selling it. It wouldn't cost that much really to sort those few issues out and clean everything up really nice.
Didn't repair fire damage, now that's real love!
My dad had the chance to buy Steve McQueens mustang, and a couple months ago we went to a car show and saw it. My dad says not buying it was one of the biggest mistakes he's made.
Rick. that was friend Bud Ekins that made. The jump making jt look to be Steve.
I think I have a magazine with picture of McQueen on Indian like this.
I love to see his legacy live on
No young people care about that doofas they would probably cancel him for toxic masculinity if he were around today!
The car in the background is pretty sweet too. Lol
This was Cool Motorcycle!
Wao man pure blooded business man no emotions.
Mr brown and that bike got along famously
Rick the kind of person to steal Steve Mqueen body in a graveyard and display his body and have his weird fantasies with Steve
Indian: were the first!
Harley: hold my beer
Mr. Famous and I got along brownly.
This is just my personal guide after several emotional purchases- Never buy from a seller something they did not have detail cleaned and if a vehicle, don’t bother to have it ready to start and operate. They are lazy and what you are buying has not been taken care of. Unless of course that’s the point, selling at a discount as is not starting.
This one for all the Haters that say Rick rips off "everyone"!
Offered $85,000.00US for a non-running, fire-damaged, in need of restoration, bike.
SAINT 65 I would take 70k no problem. The thing is a piece of junk
SAINT 65t PAWN BROKERS ARE ALWAYS RIP OFF ARTISTS! TRIED TO SELL A 4,000 DOLLAR ROLEX ONCE AND THEY OFFERED ME 200 DOLLARS! SAID THEY HAD TO MANY WATCHES AND WOULD TAKE FOREVER TO SELL!! YUP RIP OFF !!
SAINT 65 they take advantage of the poor and desperate!!
Charlie Harper if you do otherwise ,your not making money .
lino klein meuleman REALLY!! Because I saw the exact watch in the case he was selling for 3,500 hundred!! So you think it's okay to offer 200 and then make a profit of 3,300!! If you think that's okay you're as slimey as most pawnbrokers!! They take advantage of the poor and the desperate!! What you see in this show is not what pawn shops really look like!! WATCH HARDCORE PAWN SOMETIME!! THAT'S A LITTLE CLOSER TO REALITY!!
they shoulda met in the middle at 100 g's. that thing would fetch a quarter mil after a few years, with a lil polishing. case in point...clapton's SG guitar (the fool), which todd rundgren let go for 120 g's which later fetched a half mil at auction. the name factor really does make items more valuable
I learn something new everyday... I only knew 1 mcqueen before this video which is Lightning Macqueen
Rick: Let me call a buddy of mine and he will come down and stiff the bike seat to make sure Steve McQueen sat on the bike and if Steve did sat on the bike maybe we can make a deal.
So, this is the basket that Moses was put in as a baby and sent down the Nile river... Well, there's some water damage, the most I can do is 65 dollars.
no i cant take that it means so much to me
He runs a pawn shop not an auction house
Classic Indian Bike....💐
The seller did a whole line of coke before coming
Nice Honda in the background.
You can never erase Mr.Brown. He is 'famously' etched in HISTORY.
Best I can do is one famously, and I'm taking a huge Mr. Brown.
ilovebrandnewcarpets
Keep up the good work 😊👍
Its got a name engraved on it
I will now replace the word "crap" with "Mr. Brown" in my daily life.
Legend has it McQueen and Mr. Brown took a ride around the block......
Famously
The best I can do is a mini bike from Walmart
It was Steve's idea of the German being chased & chasing himself he wrote that in
I hate it when people do that to famous vehicles, that's the same thing that happened to the bullitt mustang. It was driven into the ground and not taken care of and they still think its worth gold
That bike has been neglected for so long, it’s only going to devalue until someone restores it and then preserves it. Sadly, it won’t be the current owners. That bike should be in museum quality and then put into an indoor collection.
Best I can do is a penny and sandwich, taking a big risk here because of I might not have any ham for the sandwich
It’s priceless, will you accept 70k
Mutt and Jeff headed back to the barn.
Steve McQueen-- a man's man. You don't hear that very often anymore.
Welcome back Mr. Brown! We missed you this morning
Why would a collector let his prize possesion rust & catch fire 🔥 ?? This guy is a Dust Collector !!
He let it rust but it was his father that let it catch on fire while riding it
He should be selling it at auction.
I got the exact same bike except its all original, and in prestine condition.
For u motorcycle fans here is a good story.
The movie On Any Sunday
They had a nice long Beach they wanted to use for filming on Camp Pendleton Marine base.
They called and asked permission and were told no in a hurry. Then Steve McQueen called the base general and what do u know, they got permission. LoL
$85.000 was a fair offer considering Rick would have to put money into the bike to get it right that guy was greedy a dumb dumb lol
Rick is trying to convince the seller he is gonna auction it. When in actuality if he did buy it. It would be sitting in his garage.
Sadly steve mcqueen didn't jump the barbed wire, it was the stunt man
Get a buddy in there now
They upload roughly 2 pawn stars vids a day - they now do one with mr brown and one without because half of people think it's annoying, the other half love it for some reason!
who the heck is mr brown
Take a shot every time someone says “Steve McQueen” ... 🍸
I value my liver, stomache and brain too much for that. Bet they say it 20+ times.
Mr browne is back
Learn how to spell "brown" you moron.
If it's worth so much more at auction, why not just put it up for auction? No one ever asks that?
Because the production company pays for guys to simply show items on the show.
Are you under the impression that Rick is actually negotiating price for these?
i literally never heard of steve mcquean until i started watching pawn stars
Ouch
Rick loves Steve McQueen.
I would be mad to let it go for less than 130 , 000 . Okay , i will take a melted Hershey bar and a 10 year old copy of Popular Mechanics .
On Any Sunday loved the movie.
