A tip when spraying mate, always prime the sprayer by spraying it back into the tank. That way you know the sprayer is correctly dispensing the product when you start applying rather then residual water or air in the line like you experienced at 05:17
Cheers mate - I normally do with anything that could damage things but the seaweed is fairly harmless though you right is a good habit to do regardless as a default
My problem is my cats keep pooping on my lawn and peeing… The pee is the worst as it is killing the grass. Apart from a sack and a brick 😂 any suggestions
No suggestions sorry I had them digging a little in mine had to keep in doors for a few days

Hi Michael no problem! After your new grass is up and youve done your first cuts you can switch to the dark green lawn feed as prio 1. Prior 2 would be green machine and then prio 3 for the seaweed for the whole package. The granular base is the most important and the liquids can be used together every 4 weeks as a topup

I have recently purchased the dark green lawn, my lawn is about the same size at yours, i used a quarter of the pack, does that seem enough? Do I use it monthly? Cheers
Which size pack did you get? For the 2.5kg pack you can apply the full pack in one application which will last up to 3 months

That's bad :( I saw new grass after day 8. But only in the bare spots. It didn't germinate at all in other areas. But I didn't scaryfi so that's for sure the problem. I will do it properly in the autumn or end of summer (?).
We're you watering frequently? , with the lack of rain we've had recently, you need to water 2/3 times a day, not loads of water... Just so the soil stays damp.
@@andyjackson2269 was watering 2 a day for the first 10 days.

I have just taken delivery of your green machine liquid. Quick question, if my lawn is 100m square I know how much green machine to use but it just says top up with water. My sprayer is 5L. Do I just add the water up to the 5L mark or do I need a bigger sprayer bottle? Thanks in advance.
Hi David 300ml product in 3-5l of water for 100m squared. Just enough water to spray it down and leave it on the leaf to be absorbed no need to excess water or watering in

Question 2. If the answer is Yes can I apply nematodes straight afterwards for leatherjackets.

What ratio of seaweed to water do you use when spraying product on a lawn ?
nice stripes, looks healthy but looks light green to me, do you use your own product? Sounds like clever marketing to me.
Yes I use all my own products on that lawn and film it, that's a lawn just a few weeks after a renovation with no spring feed or treatments - wait for next one the colour is insane
What jet pack are you using Matt to put the seaweed on with?? Looks better than pumping away.. end up with 2 different arms.. one of the Rock.. and the other of Mo Farah!!😂

I like to apply at the time of seeding for existing lawns or 1-2weeks before for seeding from scratch

I tend to need to treat my lawn for red thread at least twice a year and use the Provanto treatment for this purpose, however do you know of any long term solutions to get rid of it for good?
Also, I can’t find provanto lawn disease control on sale anywhere at all this year - is there a supply issue so you know?

I think some of them were withdrawn but I don't know to be honest. For red thread best is preventative treatment of a feed and/or dew removal if possible
Great video Matt. I have a 5 litre hozelock pressure sprayer. Will that be ok to use for the seeweed. Never tried it before and currently don’t have a knapsack.
Hi Stephen yes absolutely 5l water and 200ml of product per 100m squared. In terms of results the priority would be 1) dark green lawn 2) green machine 3) seaweed as a minimum the granular feed is mandatory and will give 70%+ of the results 👍
How do we get stripes like this?! I can see you did two passes each direction is that all it is or is it on a different height?

It's all the same length, two passes were to get double width Stripes and make them more defined
Hi I got new Turf put down around 10 weeks ago, parts of this are yellowing a fair bit with this POA type of grass, any tips on repairing this, I do not understand why the Lawn is yellowing so much with new Turf, I do water most days now. Thank you.
There’s no easy solution to POA other than digging it out and resending, you need to get the roots out, if you can pull it out carefully you can avoid reseeding as the existing good grass will cover it. As for the yellowing. Add a high nitrogen liquid feed, you won’t do any harm
After 10 weeks you should be able to feed the grass with gardenlawncareguy.com/shop/fertiliser/glg-spring-summer-dark-green-fertiliser/ but unfortunately no cure for POA!
My grass is a bit spongy needs a scarify. Am I too late to be doing this and over seeding now? I have two types of fertilisers autumn and a summer feed. Which one and how long after overseed can I apply (assuming I’m not too late to scarify and overseed)
You can do it now just keep up the watering and the feeding

Would like to see you wear some safety goggles and gloves when spraying and dispensing. Also to dispense the product away from the lawn in case of spillage. I'm sure you know what you are doing but others are taking your example
Thanks - as this particular product was organic seaweed I didn't do that and would for other products but I agree not everyone would understand the difference and that there are different risks to the lawn and PPE depending on the substances used.

Hi, I've used your Shade lawn grass seed and dark green lawn fertilizer. Most of it has come up really well but I've got some patches that the seed just hasn't taken. What do you advise?
Hi Dan how long ago was it and can you still see the seed? The shade mix has some quick and slower growing grass in there and if the seed is still there it will grow unless eaten by birds or moved by water
It was about 5 weeks ago that I seeded the whole area. About 80% of the area has grown brilliantly. 20% nothing. I re-seeded again yesterday and covered with fresh topsoil and watered in. I'll leave it another 7-10 days and hopefully start to see the grass coming through. Is there anything else I should do?

Hi Matt, I put the seaweed and fertiliser down last Friday and today gonna put down the green machine as there's no rain forecast. Just wondered as I normally give the lawn a good soaking on Sunday would that b OK as u said to leave it on the leaves. Hope that makes sense.. Cheers 👍

No the rotary is a bosch rotak you can't get push rotary as the blade needs to be spinning high speeds
