Viennese Hot Chocolate made in Soup Maker Machine - Philips - Made from scratch

Make a very special Viennese hot chocolate, using the Philips Soup Maker. So delicious. This I made for a very special friend, Averie who came to visit. On a cold winter day, I served her a hot mug of this chocolate beverage, topped with whipped cream.
Here's the recipe for two big-mug servings:
Viennese Hot Chocolate
3 cups whole milk
One 3.5 oz. bar of Lindt 85 % Cocoa Chocolate
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Blend ( on milk function of soup maker)
or stir on stovetop until hot and steamy
Serve with whipped cream and enjoy!

love the phillips soup maker. great for leftover vegetable about to throw away. just add one boullion cube. will try the choco drink
I'm not feeling so well this evening/tonight and this hot chocolate is very appealing. Don't have a soup maker but could probably make in a pot easy. Whipped cream always makes hot chocolate really special - better than marshmallows. You are good to your visiting friends.

Thank you! Oh, I didn't realize Aldi's has that, I'll look for it there, it probably costs less than where I got it.
Sounds delicious! Maybe top it off with a few shavings or gratings of the chocolate on the whipped cream!!

Thanks Judie. Yes, my sister is very thoughtful, and she put together a great gift for him. You wouldn't believe some of the quilts and blankets she has made for family and friends. They are always so customized for each person, and very precious to us all. And yes, I like your idea about drizzling the caramel on top of the whipped cream. WOW! Now the soup maker is easy to clean, it's flat on the bottom inside. I'm still working through what kinds of things are cooked nicely in this, but I kind of think oatmeal might not be a good choice because the blade doesn't seem to reach the bottom and the oatmeal might get stuck to the bottom if it thickens, with the heating element coming up from the bottom. It might not be able to mix well. I might try it though - I'll let you know if I do. Thanks for your great comments!
