  • Nothing like a good unboxing to get back into a creative mood. I'll say it again, I'm not a fountain pen enthusiast, but this is a pen I had to buy as seeing it took me down Memory Lane all the way back to my childhood.

REVIEW: Personally, I love the pen's small size and its light weight. But to be honest, I think just a few accidental drops will easily create cracks and chips on the cap and barrel, as well as damage the nib. And I suspect if one is not careful, you could easily dislodge the gold clip from the cap, too. So some delicate handling is in order to make this pen stay in good condition.
Still, probably because of the nostalgic feels I get from this pen in particular, I love the shape and build of it. It feels absolutely right for my hand and for my writing style, especially in contrast to the Pilot Metopolitan, which I'd bought for myself on a previous occasion, and which I found is too thick and heavy for me.
I'd also take care not to let this pen just roll about in a pencil case or in your bag as I've found the ink easily leaks out of the nib, especially when you have a fully charged squeeze converter. Note that the squeeze converter is purchased separately. The pen comes with four black ink refill cartridges.
That's about it for what I can say about this pen. Be reminded that I wouldn't know what exactly might define an excellent fountain pen, but for my purposes, I say it's a great pen and a steal at the less than 500PHP price.
As for the Diamine Ink, again I can't make comparisons because I don't have experience with too many ink varieties. For me, I like it. I love the Writer's Blood variant - it looks maroon in color though, and doesn't really remind me of blood (neither fresh nor oxidized).

Its a good buy, but you will need a bit of work and patience when using it, specially when you first use it. Its a pen that you really have to use frequently to loosen up the tines. But other than that, it writes well. A bit dry, it gives a very fine line, and has a bit of line variation.

@@ryantipon4059 thank you its a vintage pen a little hustle is ok as long as it writes in the long run since Im considering Pilot E95s I thought why not try something similar 1st before jumping into the much expensive one.

Worth it for me. But I haven't used many fountain pens so I have little basis for comparison. I left some review notes in the video description.
