Trying to figure out if I should stress myself out trying to learn how to play the guitar because I'm starting to have more fun just watching you teach people how to do it. Keep up the great lessons.....it's great finding someone who is having fun doing what they love to do!!
Hi Lauren, I love your videos. I played this song on my guitar every now and then for more than 40 years and thanks to your video I found my strumming pattern F - F - D - D in the en of the intro was wrong where the chord changes from F to D. Now I'm having a hard time to change that. Keep up the good work.
Good lesson LB :) ur patience with beginners is what I needed when I started out lol I brought down the collective music IQ when I used to walk in to rehearse n the really good players would roll their eyes :) fast forward 40 years n now I love watching how patient u are with the people just starting out on this musical journey
@@LaurenBateman it is the biggest problem that is holding me back with almost every UA-cam guitar vid (yes even all the supposedly easy to play songs) - it is always unclear to me as to where to change chords! I've gotten so close to giving up trying to learn guitar because of this (it just seems useless). Starting to think face to face lessons is going to be the only way I can sort this out as like I mentioned pretty much all the content here on UA-cam is not much help to me because of this. 6 months trying & I still can't even play a whole song (only a riff/couple of chords). Trouble is Covid Restrictions here do not allow face to face contact/visitors etc & there isn't really anyone available one on one in this small town even without Covid stuff. It is ridiculously hard (for me) & is so frustrating to see some others pick it up so easily. Feeling hopeless right now. Wish you were here to sit with me & show me where to change or even how to get my head around tabs etc damn it!
My song of choice would be While My Guitar Gently Weeps. I just love that guitar solo. I truly enjoy my red Ibanez SA guitar. She plays very well. And bright red!
@@LaurenBateman Good choice of song. Good smooth and talkative. I'd say Lean on me just because in this pandemic music has brought a lot of people close and we all need to help or be helped and not afraid. The only two guitars I'd like to play because I can't afford are a 62 tele and 57 Les Paul. I have 70 tele and 68 Les Paul that were left to me and I will never sell them. I have a few Martin and Gibson but the D 15m is killer for the price and being affordable. Carver is good sounding and don't break the bank. I almost bought a twin bird lol I had to pass my daughter wanted a Ibanez T9 Talman and for 199 electric accoustic it jams no buzz easy to chord and bare it is smooth and sounds like a 400 sigma. Just put it out there if any students looking for a electric accoustic cheap and light cutaway for slim like a fender. Yes I been playing the crap out of it. Lol can't help it.
Hey Teach, I see "squeezy" made it back to your head stock...(orangecapo) I love John fogerty, what a great song what a great lesson... As always you're the best, thank you....🍎
Hey you know a lot of CCR has some good riffs to play. I was playing getting the led out at 3 to 4 am I bet the neighborhood is loving me right now. Fender PS 400 and 4 15s and I playing my tele to drive it lol 😂😂😂🔫🤕💥😬 THIS IS THE FIRST BIG BOHEMITH made in 69 435 watts dose about 550 and I had it on 6 and guitar on 10 with 100ft stage chord I got called in and my only plea was just gets louder as it warms up and I wasn't paying attention to the volume 😂
@@LaurenBateman No I suffer from things and the past I don't sleep and I thought I was ok but wasn't. Hard bad life in past trying to focus on the present to future.
As a lifelong drummer that is trying to learn guitar , the strumming patterns I find relatively easy. It's just everthing else that's hard, and those finger tips, ouch.

Aww you're welcome!
Great lesson. Even I was able to learn !
That's awesome. Glad to hear.
Wow thanks for showing us WHERE to change chords in relation to the strumming! I never see this!
Oh absolutely. Yeah this song requires that. I call that hopping the chords when they change on the up strums. Got to get the location right.

You could also mention that Fogerty tuned his guitar down a full step and played in key of E.
Oh wow. I didn't know that actually. Thanks for sharing!
Many thanks 👍.

If you could play any guitar and amp what would you choose? Also if you could play a song so loud the town could hear it what song and why?
