      @@slick_kitten Thanks. I have an update! I researched people's journey on UA-cam and took the advice of someone experiencing the same thing. I asked to be remapped and the dosage increased. Within 2 weeks I was feeling consistently better and now realize how low I really was and that's 😨 scary. I even had someone say your so pleasant and funny you need to pretend your sick????? I didn't pretend but I advocated for myself and fought for treatment. I now want to advocate for those who keep existing and pushing through yet getting zero treatment like TMS. Also insurance extended treatment for 10 days

      @@ladyj5682 that's fantastic news! I'm so happy for you. I know how it feels to feel so depressed and hopeless. I'm in a similar situation. I have completed almost 15 sessions and I haven't felt much of a difference if any. I'm thinking about asking to increase the dosage and remap myself also. I hope I can have some results. I'm so tired of feeling sick and unhappy.

    I’ve had this treatment,and it was quite successful.But,six or seven months later,I noticed I was slipping back into depression.Unfortunately,I had taken residence in a country that had very few clinics that offered TMS,all of them a considerable distance from where I lived.Im now returning to United States,where it is far easier to receive treatment,and feel very hopeful as to my recovery.

    I have Treatment Resistant Depression and will take the risk if approved for treatment. Frankly at this point I doubt I could possibly feel any lower. My life is pure hell and will certainly give it a go. Some people said their depression came back or worse some time later and at this point I’m so desperate I welcome some relief, I really need a break .

      信義林 I’m so sorry for your dad, I know his pain, it’s pure hell. Has your dad tried any type of treatments like ECT or Esketamine Infusions? The Esketamine Infusions is what I decided to get, terribly expensive, almost $5,000.00, and I’ll have to borrow a lot of money but at this point I have no choice. I simply can’t continue to live this way. I am bedridden now. I can’t function. Help your father as much as you can, please don’t let him suffer, believe me when I tell you it is a pain like no other. Then it affects your body physically, I’m always in pain, all parts of my body hurts. So please, if you can afford to get your father the best possible care, do so. Always do all you can for your parents.

      Midi Minuit Praying for you to find some relief. That IS a Lot of money. There seem to be more and more places offering similar IV options. If you’re paying out of pocket, try shopping around and negotiating the price.

    That's great, there is always a chance of sudden response but a single TMS session costs 75 Euro at two separate clinics where I underwent TMS...So in order to not rob somebody on top of not helping him/her, the predictability of who's likely to (not) respond should be a priority!

    OK, I totally get that left or right handedness indicates on which side of the brain to stimulate. What if you were "corrected" from left to righthandedness as a child, and are in many ways ambidextrous?

    • @martinlutherkingjr.5582
      @martinlutherkingjr.5582 2 роки тому +1

      There’s no way to know for sure whether left or right side is the correct side. It’s just trial and error. Some left handed people respond to left sided treatment.

      Well this is something that has been trained in memory.. something like muscle memory and is different from a reflex like hearing a sound and respondong a certain way
      Its possible it will be (untrained) changed but can be re trained

    We're wondering if my brother could use this therapy to help heal the amygdala because we found out that the type of extreme chemical sensitivity he has actually means the limbic part of the brain is damaged... every type of chemical smell and synthetic is making him really ill.. he now has to wear a respirator to drive his own car and even the smell of the dry cleaning on his clothing made things so bad in the house he had to rent an air scrubber but he said that made things worse and he says the smell of all HEPA filters even in the vacuum cleaners make him sick.
    Can somebody please weigh in on this and let us know if it is used for other than just depression and OCD

    • @AlejandroCello
      @AlejandroCello 4 роки тому +1

      He may need to assess his CBS enzyme function. Chemical sensitivity is linked to low glutathione production. It could also be an issue with the enzymes associated with it such as GPX Glutathione Peroxidase GST - Glutathione Transferase etc. Dr Ben Lynch has good material on this online.

      There are lots of off label protocols using TMS but insurance is unlikely to cover it unless it can somehow be coded as an alternate protocol for depression or OCD.

    How does being left handed change how they treat?
    And what are these 'payment methods'?

    • @mitchymitchasmr
      @mitchymitchasmr 4 роки тому +3

      If you’re left handed, your motor cortex is on the right side of your head. So they’d place the magnet on the right side instead of the left
      That’s what my Dr said this week at my TMS session

      Insurance are starting to cover it. You can write an appeal or ask the facility to do an appeal based on your treat history. My insurance looked at my low failure on meds and partial patient hospitalizations as well. They approved 36 sessions with expansion of 10 when I wasn't feeling the best
