This is most definitely a Dark souls and Elden ring inspired boss. She’s wearing a Gwyndolin-esque mask in her 2nd form and her body is a giant mess of branches like the Bed of Chaos. She also attacks in the same manner as Radagon from Elden ring. Like she swings the hammer exactly how Radagon does.
That kinda insane to think that Dr.Nova has 8 kb so it basically mean Idi TF gonna almost knock her back every hit, adding other units dmg makes it pretty much guaranteed kb
Explosion is genuinely really cool and I'm excited to see what PONOS does with it next. This might just be the best update of the past year if Dr Nova cat unit is just as good as you say. Dependent on stats obviously, but if it really is a no gacha Mitama with curse immune and sage slayer - especially considering how powercreeped starred UL is - the entire game might be about to blow up.

My opinion on this stage will fully depend on when/how you get IDI TF

My question, is this the golden sage we were told to seek out? If it’s not her then who? I mean she probably desiccated the tree of origin to assist the cats in the present by leaving those ancient eggs for the cat army to find. Also luza being an ancient egg implies that Dr. nova was the one who planted the seeds for humanity to sprout.

It is implied she is the one who made Idi, and Idi's mission to find the perfect lifeform most likely was her order, too. In her cat guide descriptions she seems to be studying the cats now, so I guess it partially reverted?

That's really cool designed effect, much better than surge since it can create LD enemies that require timing your units so that they don't die. While surge just straight up kills anything that doesn't have immune to it. I don't know if I can still love blast when they gave it to a normal enemy without LD though, which basically just doubles their dps but at least it doesn't seem to have levels

Yeah lmao true form Idi's dmg against relic is absurd(472000 dmg per hit at lv 50).Combine that with Sage slayer, and you get 567000 damage per hit.
Relic is such a dead trait now, they're gonna have to pull a behemoth and have 2 million HP meatshields to survive
