I wish I could, but university has me down on my knees. But years with no responsibilities and being stuck, I guess tending to my future is in a way a mental health thing. Tending to school, for me these coming years, is to tend to the balance needed in life for independence. *Seriously, thank you Jo for being such an inspiration! **2:15** I’m also so happy for you!!* 💕
I'm 54 and still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. You never know what life will bring. In between waves, I just try to better myself so when the next wave comes I'm ready to jump on. Re: higher quality production.. I would just caution against falling into a technological rabbit hole. It goes VERY deep. I've made this mistake myself. I got into computers to improve my architectural design capabilities, and then I woke up one day and realized it had become all computers and no design. I think you are mainly talking about more focused content, just say'n... I got off that train and just bought a resort in Costa Rica (which is how I found you - learning about the hospitality business. Netflix show is GREAT).

I love love love your content, I've been watching you for years now and honestly your old channel and this one have been the only ones that really helped adjust to a travelling lifestyle (I was travelling working for ngos A LOT) and it's funny because I had to settle down a bit at the same time that you did so I've felt like I can still 100% relate with your content. I'm just the same with cities and places I go to and go back and back and it becomes a home and then I don't wanna leave but I wanna explore. I think something around that sort of thing of revisiting and rediscovering and then learning the language and just this way that travel starts to become just more homes around the world would be amazing content. The clip with your nephew almost brought tears to my eyes when he mentioned “you have time for a hug”. Reminds me of my younger brother. Would always ask for hugs as a younger boy and is just the sweetest. Looking at him now he’s huge!! 😭 Still the sweetest. I was very close to moving across the country (SF to NY). I’m talking deposit on an apartment with 3 other girls down, job acquired and accepted, and one way ticket secured. I’ve always wanted to live in multiple places, NY being at the top of the list. About 2 weeks before my flight out, I was offered a nice position here at home. Ultimately decided to stay because I didn’t want to miss out on my brother finishing up high school. I don’t think there’s one decision better than the other and everyone’s situation is different. But I know for my heart, I wanted to be close for these years.

Your videos always come at the perfect time. Whenever I need re-motivated/ need to re-establish focus BOOM you say exactly what I need to hear. Also, what if you establish a pen pal type scenario for those who struggle with practicing the language they are trying to learn. I think my suggestion of potentially where your channel could go or maybe a topic you can speak on is how you're going against the grain with the societal idea of "I should have everything figured out when I'm in my 20s or 30s". I'm in my late 20s and in my opinion this societal idea is way outdated. What specifically are we supposed to have figured out in our 20s or 30s? If it's life then that is impossible because life is ever changing. I'm still learning self care even in my late 20s and this will continue past my 20s and 30s. I think what's more important is introspection or self reflection on what is it you want for yourself now. While keeping in mind what you now can completely change years down the road. Maybe learning to how to form a trusting and loving relationship with yourself and being open to change is something we all can learn. Maybe you can also talk about the seeds you planted and how those seeds grew into the opportunities you have now.
I may be the auntie of the commenters at 39 years old. I understand taking a break. Breaks are good and self-care. I never thought of celebrating the last year in my 30s but now it seems like a big possibility.
