  • Hey guys!
I had a request on how to do tight Dutch braids.
So, todays video is all tight double dutch braids or boxer braids. I will be covering how to keep your braids tight and neat. You may want to do this with wet hair or use some braiding products, for example a gel.
This is the method I use to braid tiny cornrows as well as jumbo cornrows. I understand my method may not be the exact same as what you may need depending on your hair texture. Nevertheless this is how I braid my hair. I hope it is helpful!

Omg I've watched so many tutorials on how to get Dutch braids tight, and this one finally helped me! No one mentions how close you have to keep your hand to your scalp, and it makes so much sense to do so!

This is the most helpful dutch braiding video I've seen, I appreciate your tips. My hair isn't easy to manage-- it's very slick, thin, and tangles super easily. It constantly tangles even though I combed it out with a fine took comb.. my hair just sticks to each other and starts tangling & my arms tire easily :( sux having bad hair, but I'll keep trying!

Good lord could everyone please shut the fuck up about the childish braid debate they are DUTCH braids, and no one culture owns braids either nearly every culture has braided their hair at some point. The ancient Greeks braided their hair, the ancient Germanic and Norse tribes braided their hair, the Chinese and Japanese braided their hair, Native Americans braid their hair, and yes many African cultures have braided their hair as well. No one culture or race owns braids and people who get mad over others wearing a specific hairstyle need to grow up really.
