I like it! I think per possession he is as damaging as anyone! perhaps though...he won't play enough mid time to be placed in that top, top group, subjective though of course.
There are about 15 midfielders that you could make a case for being the best player in the league next year. What the league desperately needs is another superstar forward to come along. It's almost 10 years since peak Franklin.
It would be awesome to see it happen, but the modern game doesn't promote the development of this type of player, instead focusing on athleticism, agility, fitness etc. In the 2024 draft, most of the top 190cm+ talent were drafted as midfielders. And of the players who are drafted as potential gun tall fwds, many of them are a bit too graceful and lack the mongrel needed at top AFL level (Jamara UH, Sam Weideman etc.)
@@tb7667 yeah good shout! For me Jeremy Cameron is clear as the best fwd. he moves like mid, gets up the ground and is a nightmare in the air! He’s also decisive in big moments, perfect player
@@DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft I agree. It's often too much of a sacrifice to have a stay at home fwd. So players like JC that can have an impact thru the middle and then sprint up to a relatively open fwd line are usually best. If a large hulking mass of a player that stayed at 15m out and marked everything in a flooded fwd line against elite defenders worked in AFL these days, then surely we would see one already.
@@mrborn1637 yeah exactly! Probably the closest thing to that is what Hogan did last year, relatively close to goal and averaged huge marks inside 50 and CM but it’s still only around that 60-70 goal mark.
Personally, I believe Shai Bolton is the most naturally talented footballer in the AFL, but not the best. He can make the game look so easy when he is in the zone.
Cam Rayner from Brisbane Lions 🦁 will have a blinder in 25”

@@DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft oh he is being developed into a midfielder this season .
Well done bro. Great vid!
Nice to see you looking down the lens again 😎
What do we think guys! Will JHF be the best player in the comp this season?
JHF is a great candidate for most damaging player in 25.. He impacts moments that matter.

Might be biased but I think Nate Caddy will win the next 10 Brownlow Medals.
@@everythingessendon548 no way that’s biased ☝️only logical 😀

Nah. Jason Horne Francis will be the best player in the AFL. Hes still growing, getting stronger, and faster. Hes still a kid. 😂🎉🎉
I can't tell if you agree or disagree? 😂
You lost me with the rather long add

@@rationalroman3705 yeah I like that call! He’s certainly one of the most dynamic players and left alone inside 50 he’s a nightmare match up!
