My favorite WatchBox show is back! Anyway getting back down to business...not really, just my humble opinion on some of the watches 😉 The Oris Clean Ocean in this case size and dial color has to be my favorite ‘affordable’ modern diver. I think it has the best tone and grain of blue sunburst I’ve seen. And the follow-up Panerai has to be my new favorite model from that brand too (together with the smaller cased forged carbon Submersible) I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blue sunburst dialed Panerai before, it really lifts the watch and at 44mm it’s not overtly large either. Together with the Zeitwerk the Lange Pulsometer chronograph is my favorite model of the brand, but maybe not with this black dial, I think there’s a rose gold cased, white dialed variation too? That vintage late 70s Rolex Day-Date is gorgeous! Nicer than a lot of the newer ones! Gorgeous Reverso too. The white dialed/titanium cased Omega chronograph is very nice as well. I’d wear that IWC backside up! A beautiful oversized movement. The red dialed GS is very nice despite the size, like the way the dial and faceted case play with the light.
Thank you! I try to stay sharp despite my years removed from deeper analytical work or pro writing. Also, it helps to love my subject matter. Best, Tim
It's good to be back, Blake. I'm working to revive this channel after a month away; look forward to new features on this page in the near future. Best, Tim
Thanks for a great video, as usual, I own a GS GMT spring Drive and am blown away by its overall quality. I have always lusted after the Snow Flake now this! I’m torn between two watches. Oh the agony!
That's a beautiful Portuguese. The essence of elegance, that watch will be just as beautiful in 100 years. As it is today, and ever will be. Thanks Tim, you always have the best watches, hands down.
I purchased the original BLNR in August 2018 and I picked up the new generation BLNR on Black Friday. I got the text from the AD and I was there within 30 minutes. The original seems more sporty and the new BLNR on the jubilee bracelet is more dressy. I love both.
It Great to have Tim "The Time Wizard" Mosso on our UA-cam screens again :D I have to say my favorite watches from today's selection has to be the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Chronograph Black, and the Ressence Type 5 Diver I have to say, I love the GS Skyflake even more every time I see it :D
It was the right closer. I usually pick some kind of crazy complication or independent brand exotic to cap the show, but the rule is "coolest watch," not "costliest watch," and the 407 was the coolest watch on the table today. Best, Tim
I love that Reverso! I’d love to see it reverse against their Rouge dial. That GS Godzilla dial - amazing! Blues continues to be wildly popular. Greens are still gaining. But red dials - time for their hay day too!
That lime green lume on the Omega would make a better choice for a vintage reissue than the faux vintage lume we see out there, without sacrificing the brightness.
I *love* the Brooklands, excellent choice. It's "Westminster Abbey on wheels", as Clarkson put it. Also, those high-end luxury cars like that tend to depreciate at a fantastic rate such that you can get a used one in excellent condition (they're usually well cared for) with something like 5-30k miles on it for maybe 20-30% of what the original owner paid. The VW Phaeton used to be one of these, though the newest ones if you're in North America (last production year was 2006) are a bit too old now in my opinion. I remember that thing used to sell lightly used for something like $15k 10 years ago, and the original retail was around $100k.
My pleasure, Alvin -- and it's truly a pleasure. One advantage of spending a month away was the chance to encounter an entirely different inventory when I returned to headquarters in Philadelphia. Best, Tim
It's a pleasure to share them, Randy. The opportunity to combine a black dial ALS 1815 Chrono and a GS Blue-flake doesn't arise often. And even though it was the least costly watch on the table, I loved that turquoise Oris! Best, Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviews I, likewise liked everything there but two I found special were Omegas, the Seamaster 300 meter pro with the blue dial ( because I already have one) (from Watchbox no less); and the Speedmaster 57 which has unseated the new Speedmaster Racing (with the orange trim) as my practical grail watch. Thanks again for all you do to broaden everyone's knowledge of noteworthy watches whether they're at home or in Dubai. There are already too many going on endlessly about steel Rolexs and 5711s.
I sincerely think you’re the best that’s ever done it ! Knowledge , improvisation , humor. Well done sir !!! I’m going to buy a Rolex Platinum, love to buy it from you . Also I just bought the Grand Seiko Godzilla , how do you feel about that???
Hey Tim, the platinum Daytona has piqued my interest in a significant way, wow! Hey, you are quite the fluid wordsmith and have great technical yet common sensual acumen. What is your educational background just for us big Tim Mosso fans. We all love watching you, none better. Thanks
Thanks, Cave. I studied political science at Dartmouth, but my ambition is to pursue law or watchmaking. Drop me a line at tmosso@thewatchbox.com if you choose to pull the trigger on the PT950 Cosmograph. Best, Tim
Ahh.. the weekly dose of eye candy are back with a nice voice that are music to my ears. Have a nice week ahead Tim and all the crew in the studio. Keep them coming...
Superb watch presentation by the master with iconic watches. Thank you Tim for making your show the best on the web. The ultimate Rolex Paton Daytona. GS Godzilla my grails for each brands. Stay safe sir for the community.
If I could save just one program from our channels, it would be this show. Presenting these watches remains a blast and a highlight of my job. Best, Tim
I missed shooting these! I always learn something new in the process, and this was my first time in the studio with the Godzilla and Sky-flake. Fun story: I saw my first SBGA405 ('flake) at a shop in the Dubai airport during my trip overseas. Best, Tim
Would anyone know if the latest version of the white gold Pepsi (126719BLRO), has slightly more tapered/thinner lugs than the previous generation (116719BLRO)? Thanks in advance

Speedmaster and seamaster is all you ever hear about when the true gem is the railmaster half you people with dive watches don't even swim. Same goes for rolex its all about the submariner when the rolex explorer I is the real beauty.
Hey Tim, have you seen this other video about Rolex forcing ADs to stop witholding sales (thus ending waiting lists) and giving back warranty cards?! Can you confirm that? How do you think it will impact the market globally?ua-cam.com/video/xlrcEEIhyis/v-deo.html
Please get rid of the sunglasses. I really like the content and your watch knowledge is amazing but I just can't take anything seriously anymore with those sunglasses on...
wow- what a seriously impressive collection, and an even more impressive demonstration of presentation talent.
I appreciate this more than you can know. My belief always has been that folks come for the watches, not the presenter.
Best,
Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviews I actually find your voice really easy to listen to. Trust me, it matters.
Seriously, Tim's got mind control. After every video I think I need every one of the watches he presents. Then I check my account balance and frown.

Tim's Back! That skyflake is amazing, I love the heavier weight of the stainless steel case as opposed to the titanium of the regular snowflake.
I liked everything about the snowflake but couldn’t stomach the case. The skyflake might be the medicine I needed.
Magnifique collection 👍👍👍
I’m not much of a dress watch lover , but that GS skyflake is stunning
Fortunately, the 100-meter rating and steel case allow this one to sub as a sports watch on occasion. It's elegant without being dainty.

GS alot of watch for the money.
That NOMOS looks like the mano meter ftom my bike pump.
That makes sense; dashboard gauges look like pump gauges, and this Autobahn borrows liberally from automotive imagery.
