I had a snow man craft where they used baking soda for snow. It took nearly a decade to yellow. I cant tell you if they added white paint to it, but I figure if it does yellow after 10 years, it might be time to remake it anyway!! As always, your video is entertaining and makes me smile to watch. You're the messiest :) and most casual artist I've ever watched and it's a joy to see the results! Your builds never fail to look amazing!
mine too! Bard is unique and love love his rough aproach on his terrain. I don't like the polished perfect crafting channels... I think the charm here is compareable with the evolution of Star Wars... the old und rough movies are the best... as soon as they turned up with CGI to make it "perfect" they destroyed it.
That already looks great. Your method of terrain building looks like so much fun. While others measure this and precisely place that, you blob here, smush there, and cover over this and that later, all guided by your vision of what the final diorama should look like. It shows that you’re much more artistically creative than you give yourself credit because your builds always come out looking so cool. Im looking forward to seeing what comes next.
I've had done snow with this method on my Angmar Orc bases. It has yellowed after 10 years. So I just painted IT with white sprinkled more soda and then covered with thin coat of gloss varnish. It should stay white for ages now. Also I added white paint to the mixture I've used on the minis and it didn't yellowed at all. Great pice od terrain as always. Can't wait to see part 2.
Lukas, your terrain always looks amazing. What you are able to achieve with a few humble materials is a real testament to your talent. Bravo my friend!
Loving this build - the blue wash over the black bark would also make a great basalt rock base for when your Vikings get to Iceland! Loads of oats required for that tip.
I Like the tree bark kit bash! You should make a kit bashing video sometime when you need to break up the long terrain projects with something quick and fun
The custom miniatures are cool. I've applied your "just forge ahead" viewpoint and made "enemy markers" by putting clay balls on BBQ skewers and giving them your paper towel and glue cloaks. The base has enough room for weapon icons to let players know what the marker is.
Man, these videos really inspire me. When i will be able to sit to a table to play with my friends again, i will definitely build one of these diorama.
I am so glad I found your channel. You really made me just go to the market and start crafting some terrains and houses. Your videos are easy to understand, fast and at the point. Thanks for this and keep up the great work, you've earned a new sub and bell rings.
If you add white paint to the mixture of PVA glue and soda, then it will definitely not turn yellow over time, as sometimes happens with such homemade snow.
I wasn't worried about making a mess, because I was in a hurry to get to the toilet. Greatest line on Bard's Craft thus far. But seriously the final product looks great. Going to have to go get some pine bark.
I have options. There are pines on or next to my parent's farm and the neighbors wouldn't care. But they sell big bags of it pretty cheaply here for landscaping material.
I think your mini painting is good. Maybe it would help if you purchased some jeweler glasses for magnification. They are dirt cheap on Amazon. I use them every day and I can see small details easily.
Great job as usual! Your get shit done has inspired me not to be too much of a perfectionist with some of my own creative endeavors. :) As a tip, a sieve would be great for dropping the baking soda on the glue in a very even way. At least it seems to work with flour and stuff for baking to avoid clumps.
Living in Aus in a big city, finding bark and natural materials is really hard! So I usually go and raid my tiny backyard... Im gonna run out of rocks one day lmao. Keep up the awesome work, I'd love to make a diorama video sometime!
Your terrain always impressess me how amazing it looks from such basic materials. I wish i lived where you live, looks amazing and you have miniature trees growing on your trees, so handy!! ^_^
The only problem I've found with Bicarbonate is that with time it turns yellow I tend to modge podge it and add white paint to that it also makes things harder and more robust
Man,its fantastic! My reaction on your works is just "Wow!" I love your works. Good luck in your work! ... But I can't find a hammer of your Thor on the Eldritch Foundry site... That's sad.
Awesome job! Your videos are very helpful, I’m having trouble finding the same type of XP’s foam. Here it is green or pink, harder to cut or make impressions. Could you tell me what type you use and where you get it?
Xps foam can be bought in hardware stores that sell "house building" materials. It's the insulation stuff put between walls of your house. Way better than packing foam. Can be cut nicely and painted on well.
Your Thor, probably, ought to have had red hair...that's the traditional color from mythology. Blond is pretty much what Marvel did to make their own "modern" character they could claim

Cant wait for you to come back to crafting Lucas!!!
0:07 This is me doing an impression in front of my friends, losing confidence and switching back to my normal voice.
Still can't believe how much treebark looks like rock when painted, awesome looking build!
Indeed
The mark of a true terrain crafter is holding off going to the toilet until you have finished what you're doing.
Indeed :D
I love your "old style craft" like in your firsts video with just foam, bark, cardboard and a knife! And too much glue of course!
Thanks :)

You are, by far, my favorite terrain/miniatures channel.

@@stianthijsen4784 Agreed on all points.
No faffing around chop, glue, paint, bosh! Done and it looks great you could fill your table top with terrain like this 👍

That bark...by the gods. Epic build my man.
Great build as always... FYI/TIP... Using a Toothpick or a needle, make great eye pupils on the mini!!! It's like: "Dotting the eye."
Wonderful snowy diorama, simple tools and materials make great effect.
An other outstanding build. Really like the way you created the rocks from the bark and the snow from baking soda.
Loving this build - the blue wash over the black bark would also make a great basalt rock base for when your Vikings get to Iceland! Loads of oats required for that tip.
Photographically good. Applause from the UK (listen very hard).
Bard's Craft? More like Bark's Craft.
Cool build again, looking forward to the next!

OOOMMMGGGG !! That bark texture is sooo great !! Good job Lukas !
Spraying with varnish can help if you have yellowing problems. It makes everything the same finish though which isn't always a good thing

On a cloudy day snow is white. On a sunny day it reflects the blue of the sky.

Good luck with the bark hunt

This snow terrain is epic. Can't wait to see the town you come up with to go with it.
This is the best way to start my day.
yellow snow is a perfectly natural phenomenon
True, never thought of that 😂
Wiw amazing... Very details and looks like real... I like it
You should totally make an Excalibur diorama ! 😄👍
Superb build! I must admit though I have seen yellow snow before. 😉
Am currently binging your vids while making paper for a spell tome! love what you make
Love your videos!!! Pls keep doing what you are doing!! Can’t wait for episode 2 of this build, would love to see some Viking themed buildings
gives me chills like i'm actually there just by looking at it, amazing work! you inspire me so much
Thank you for making my new go-to series when it comes to crafting! Only downside is that my house is now filling up with Norwegian pine bark...
Wow...Awesome!👏 I like the materials than you use for your crafts.

Very chilly. I like it.
Awesome build Lukas! Love the snow effects, messy but fun. Perfect project to tackle with my son. :)
Your trees always turn out so well!
Awesome job! Can't wait to see part 2! Keep the content coming!
Awesome! Soo cool and clever diorama, and nice to watch your videos ! Cheers 🙋🏻♂️
This looks totally awesome

I love it! You always impress me how you make something out of scraps.
The best diorama channel!
Man, I wish I could a-fjord a proxxon.
Fantastic build for once more.
I wonder if gesso combined with soda could work as snow paste as alternative material.
You have one of the best channels out there! Keep it up.
Awesome build! The snow looks very nice!!
Best bday gift today is your vids,
Looks great!
"must of been the wind" You never cease to amaze me haha
I don't think you've made a video that didn't have those Oats Box card stock. You must really Love that stuff.
The only problem I've found with Bicarbonate is that with time it turns yellow I tend to modge podge it and add white paint to that it also makes things harder and more robust
1:25 are you saying that bark wasn’t your favourite material before!
Very entertaining as usual. Nice project.
And didnt know danheim, thx for that ;)
Man,its fantastic! My reaction on your works is just "Wow!" I love your works. Good luck in your work!
...
But I can't find a hammer of your Thor on the Eldritch Foundry site... That's sad.
So pumped for a new vid awesome as always.
Really nice one dude!! thumbs up
Epic. EPIC!
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Sensacional!!! Amazing! !!!
you can always blame the trolls or giants for the yellow snow. there is no toilet in the cave :)
Хотелось бы увидеть как ты делаешь миниатюры персонажей или зомби, тролей, гигантских летучих мышей
Make a overlords Kingdom
Damn Fine Work 👍
For Odin!!
Do you bake the bark first before you use it or is it straight off the forest floor to the project?
Great work
Awesome job! Your videos are very helpful, I’m having trouble finding the same type of XP’s foam. Here it is green or pink, harder to cut or make impressions. Could you tell me what type you use and where you get it?
I love your work and want to do some too but i can never find XPS foam. It looks better than the normal packing foam i have access to

MORE!!!!!
Haha awesome intro man!
What kind of bark is that? And any general tips for getting it?
Save our Trolls! filthy thunder gods have gone too far this time
Bark Wizard!
What kind of foam is it he uses? i've been looking everywhere for it and i can only find flamingo foam and it gets -everywhere-
shocked to see the hatchet as a modern day crafting tool.
How does your board not warp from all that pva glue? (Genuine question, it's a real problem for me)
Also, what is the song at the end??
Hey excellent work, very nice ! What's the post-apocalyptic game you talked about ? Is it homebrew ?
I will always smort you with interest! I myself am from Russia
Bard, when you finally become the crafting god, your holy symbol and holy weapon will be your crafting knife.
It is already 😄
Norse mythology is the best.
Remember, don´t eat that yellow snow! Troll piss is not quite appetising as it looks.
Soooo pretty sure you answered this at some point. Can I use the pink xps foam?
Yes
Bark's craft
Where you find this cool big grab pieces? what the tree?
Это сосна, куски от нее легко отломить;)
@@alexandervladimirovich6542 у меня возле дома какая-то неправильная сосна, нет таких крутых больших кусманов
Your Thor, probably, ought to have had red hair...that's the traditional color from mythology. Blond is pretty much what Marvel did to make their own "modern" character they could claim
9:21 "HOW DARE YOU!!!" (C)
In a hurry to get to the toilet LOL
i wish i could walk around in the snow with a bow and make a fire and camp. Sucks in the UK :P cant do anything
You must reclaim land and plant new forests. There's some motivation for you 😂
First, plant some pines...
Hopefully Thor can get tooth-gnasher back in time to return to Asgard.
👍👍👍👍👍
