Really interested to see how they are removing the cars and demolishing this structure, especially interested in the silver range rover on the roof...such a waste. Thanks for the interesting videos.
Considering the intensity of the fire, the heat probably melted plastic and electronic devices within the vehicles. They may look OK, but they're toast.
paul backhard the ramps and the interior floors, I remember seeing footage from when this first happened and you could see where the concrete had just crumbled away between the reinforcements leaving huge gaps in the floors. Totally impossible to drive any surviving cars out... shame they couldn’t have airlifted them off the roof but I’m guessing that it’s be too costly and risky considering that you need a team of people actually on the roof to secure them. Kinda sad seeing cars that are in undamaged getting crushed by the claw but not much else they can do... I’m guessing they still have some scrap value, engines, catalytic converters and on many of them, wheels will be usable.
All the cars that were bought down with the claw are going off to Hills Motors in Skelmersdale where owners can go and get their belongings out.All those that are burnt to a crisp are going straight to the scrap metal merchants together with the rebar from the building.
I looked at the drove footage. It appears some of the cars on the roof, and some of the cars on the lower levels on the UPWIND side may still be in good condition, but getting them off the roof would be too expensive, and it may be too dangerous to enter the lower level to get the "good" cars away. It's just a miracle no-one (or animal) was killed. The devastation is incredible. I've been to many events here and never imagined this could have spread to literally every floor. It actually was a great car park. Wide and airy. So sad for all those whose vehicles and possessions were lost.
Weil die das Gebäude nicht mehr betreten wollten, wegen evtl. Einsturzgefahr. Die Betonstruktur hat durch das Feuer enorm gelitten. Außerdem Kosten / Nutzenfaktor: nicht rentabel.
I would never park a car in one of those multi-storey shitholes. They are an accident waiting to happen. One car goes up, they all go!!! Yet still they keep building them!! You only have to feel the wind blowing through, to realise how quickly a fire would spread.
Compared to how many of these structures exsists and how many go up in flames makes your statement seam rather daft. Theyre built from concrete which doesnt go up in flames. Also majority multi-stpry car parks have fire fighting equipment such as sprinklers. End of the day depends how you feel. Some people would argue that aircraft are unsafe.
One car fire did all this destruction? No way! Fires dont bounce that easily from car to car and destroy concrete as well. Higher ups are playing with technology weapons of some kind.
@@iceman2921 Yes, I'm hearing this more and more...DEW (Direct Energy Weapons) are being commented on a lot these days. In California, metal melted in a forest fire? Some say the temp for a forest fire should not be hot enough to do that and that DEW's were being used (tested) I reckon that a DEW was being tested here as well, seeing as the multi-story was in need of revamping etc. There is also some shit about the Liverpudlian mayor accidentally tweeting about it a few hours before the event happened!
? What makes you think one car fire could possibly set off any other cars? In my experience what you say is absolute bs. These structures are protected by sprinkler systems worldwide for one, and this fire was not an ordinary fire. Echo car park was hit with DEW just as was grenfall and many other places in the world. Wake up man!
This would give the insurance company reason for them to dismiss any claim as it shows the cars were not damaged by the fire but instead "sold or scrapped by the owner." This was the case with someone I know who's car was in a similar circumstance when it was stranded by flood water whilst parked and suffered only minor damage but the building was condemned due to unstable ground. When he tried to appeal the decision, the insurance company threatened to file charges against him for fraud if he didn't let it go. If this happens the only option for the owners of cars in this video would be to seek compensation from the land owner since I'm sure that looks like it did not have a working fire suppression system which is a legal requirement for buildings like this one. Although I personally would've liked to go after those who owned the car that started the fire if this happened to me, I like getting revenge on people.
Clearly some of those cars were recoverable, but someone was just too darned lazy to arrange the proper equipment to do so. Maybe it was cheaper to not bother, but that's not a good excuse to waste the planet's resources.
The structure is unsafe concrete exploids when fire is involved because of the moisture content in the concrete would you enter that structure I now I wouldn't as I work in demolition plus I know a couple of the guys on the job!!!
Insurance also dictates if you can enter or not. If your house partially burns and is deemed unsafe to enter you aren't legally allowed (and your insurance can be voided if they find out) in to get anything left still recoverable.
@@emilypowell1405 That is not an environmentally sound argument. It's hard to calculate, but it was once calculated that one third of the energy a car will ever use, is during manufacture. This figure is probably rising rather than falling as cars become more complex. So keeping a good car running is more environmentally sound than destroying it needlessly.
