Last year I was at Walmart waiting on my daughter in the dressing room when a random couple came up to me and told me a man had been following me around the Walmart. I literally had no clue! They said they felt compelled to tell me because of how long he was watching me! Thank God my husband was in the store and I called him but the guy fled the second he saw my 6'4'' husband walking up. I really thought I was one of those women who was always aware of my surroundings but I was wrong this day. Stay safe ladies
Someone made a comment on one of the true crime videos I watch and asked why women are so interested in true crime. She said its because women are so often the victims. It's research. That made so much sense to me.
@@TenaciousTD you're interested in it, because you watched a few videos and now UA-cam suggests it to you. It has nothing to do with research. You just like to watch edgy and gruesome things, because it a good watch and something to do to hide your time. You don't leave ya house and think is this the day I'm gonna be murdered.
That is 😢 just terrible. Thank God they came forward! They fulfilled the communal promise, "If you see something, say something." We all must work to keep ourselves and others safe in our communities. I wish the police could have done something, though. You likely weren't the first or the last person that horrible zombie tried to target. I mean, if you are stalked in your local Walmart, where are you safe as a woman? I am so sorry.😢 😢😢😢😢
This almost happened to my Mom, also in Walmart. Except that man spoke to her, and she immediately got a terrible feeling. He was holding a single roll of paper towels and seemed aimless. She had seen a police car out front and went to the officer for help, but the man left. Two weeks later, I heard her yell and ran into her bedroom. She pointed at the TV and shouted, "That's him!" He was on the news because he had assaulted a woman in the parking lot of the Lowe's down the street from the Walmart she encountered him in. Thankfully, that woman lived as well.
A mix of a fascination with true crime and life experiences has taught me that sometimes being a little rude or curt is better than ignoring that gut feeling.
Chemirmir was killed by his cellmate on September 19, 2023, at the Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony, Anderson County, Texas. He was 50 years old.[29][30] The alleged attacker was Wyatt Busby, who had been serving a 50-year sentence for the 2016 stabbing death of a Houston area man.[31] Prior to his death, Chemirmir had allegedly made sexual comments about his cellmate's children.
@@ezragonzalez8936Great news! Is like to send the cellmate something for his books so he can buy some goodies. Good riddance & we TAXPAYERS no longer have to pay for Billy!🎉🎉
What a strong, amazing woman. To lift her wedding finger to notify them of the robbery while dying. So sharp. Thank God she survived to end this. Imagine living to your 80s or 90s and being murdered. Targeting the elderly is a special brand of evil. And the fact that it went unnoticed for so long says so much about how our society values its older citizens.
Hundreds of elderly women die, have their jewelry stolen, and the police don't think that is suspicious until one woman survives???? Such incompetence!!!
Not if the coroner rules it death through natural causes. And the jewellery probably not noted as even missing in some cases until the investigation, but put down as lost or misplaced or stolen by staff
@thehangingparsiple5692 lets be real half of them dont care to look into things that make their job harder. I found a woman ran over multiple people pulled over to check on her till a cop showed up. I have been a T.I. over 30 yrs, and never knew why until in 18, I was checking my skin with a magnifying glass and found strange, matching sets of holes in my inner wrists and knees. They looked like tiny tunnels. I took samples from them and viewed it under my scope, and could not believe what I found. It was a clear, computerized GEL that acted ALIVE as I watched it, fascinated. Many things made sense to me that day, like why I often heard a man's voice in my head. A man who watched me constantly, and talked to me, PRETENDING TO BE GOD. Why I sometimes had sleepwalking events that i had no memory of or control over. Why agents had stalked me so relentlessly, and more. When i researched this tech, I found a pic of it right on DARPA'S SITE! It is graphene oxide/polymers called NEURAL LACE/HYDROGEL. MUSK SELLS IT, and the filthy FDA recently approved it for use!!The filthy monsters hacked my brain, and it was WORSE THAN RAPE! I knew what would be in the vax when they said one was coming, and I was right. Dr Carrie madej, and Dr Ricardo Delgado were first to identify it in the shots. I forewarned the FDA, and every state governor, and others and they ignored me. I told them to test for graphene oxide and polymers, but they refused. Dr Ruby says the governors are paid off by their governors assoc. Likely true. This tech is also in the masks, bogus tests, and swabs. Now they are adding it to our food and beverage sypply! I have found it in everything I test, and you can SEE IT YOURSELF, floating atop the beverages. Milk & icecream are LOADED with it! These monsters are also using our devices to put out disease and death causing frequencies. They tortured my beloved doxy every month for over 9 YEARS, before they made him go blind, and attacked his organs, killing him Thanksgiving Dy 22. They killed my 3 dogs prior as well, because they ENJOY TORTURING AND KILLING HELPLESS ANIMASLS and people who have no way to defend themselves. Yes, they are absolutely SICK FREAKS who don't deserve the air they breathe! We busted them red handed using our CELL PH.s, laptop speakers, laptop, and even the tower across the street to put out dangerous, brain tweaking frequencies. DO NOT sleep by anything digital, and UNPLUG all appliances when not using them, as they are using their smartgrid to hack them and use them against us! TELL YOUR SHERIFFS THIS IS GOING ON AND DEMAND ARRESTS! THEY MUST BE STOPPED if any of us are to survive! Anyone who deletes this comment are in VIOLATION OF TITLE 18 U.S.C. Mary is an hero! She saved countless elderly ladies' lives with her courage. 700 victims that we know of. What a vile creature. RIP for all the people who died at his hands and my heartfelt condolences to their loved ones.
My cousin was just 70 and she was found dead in her apartment. She had no known illnesses and her kids requested an autopsy. They were denied. I think that is atrocious.
Ageism. Disregard for the best of humanity. Evil. The elderly, like our unborn babies and children being abused and defenseless animals being abused, need our vigilant protection. They are vulnerable. The fact that there was NO VIDEO OR ACCESS CONTROL is beyond irresponsible. And it was hopefully, a major liability for all involved with these retirement facilities. God bless these women and shame on law enforcement and medical examiners for their dismissive attitudes.
Lu Thi Harris looks AMAZING for 81. She looked happy and healthy, who knows she could have lived for another 20 plus years!? This despicable man stole so much from her and many many others💔
That manager at the retirement complex should hold accountable for the 91-year old robbery victim too- -No security cameras, no security plans, and no concerns.
@@spitfire577 By the title of “manager”, this person should at least manage the safety of his residents; Or at least be alert to anything sinister so that he could either remind the senior citizens or report it to the police. Better yet, at least have security cameras installed.
That coordinator seems cold & guilty, he probably fed info to the criminal, and got a piece of the pie. Why would all the cameras be shut off in the stairwell? My mom has dementia and is in a home, I worry about her because she has tried to run away, and she gets phone calls from men saying she win money and that he is coming to her home to give it to her 😮 she gets upset, panicky and tells the front desk not to let anyone in to her apartment. Criminals are targeting seniors and it is disturbing, thank you for this eye opening video 🙏🏽
Cameras in stair wells are extremely important if people use the stairwells - if a resident has health trouble and is disabled (falls eg) this could be seen and help delivered on time. F’n CAMERAS EVERYWHERE in senior homes!!!! All outside doors LOCKED - only IS badge entry.
That coordinator pissed me off to no end. Almost as much as the actual murderer. Like, sir.. we're talking about actual human beings here and you cannot be bothered to care for them?! Not to mention that this is also your job.. a job that you chose, nobody forced you into it. People are dying, and he couldn't care less.. I hope every family member got to see his interview. Beyond disgusting and appalling
The truth is that NO ONE is going to care for our loved ones the way our families believe they do or expect someone else to. The people who work in places like this are employees only. Its a paycheck, not necessarily their hearts desire. The other fact is that wicked people come in all shapes, sizes colors and ages. Predators seek prey they think they can conquer. Unfortunately, the elderly are often targeted
@@AprilGarcia-sm4bi speak for yourself. I was a caregiver and I cared for my clients like they were family. Many of them were abandoned by their families. I was working more than sixty hours a week and staying there three nights a week. If security guards in the control room was monitoring that a man was following an old woman, why not do something instead of letting her reach her fate? Security guards need to look after customers not only the store
As a former 15 year store security guard... the video surveillance was likely reviewed and discovered after the fact. There are many things that are only seen after the fact only when looking for it.

I think he was in on it. Telling the murderer which elderly widows were the wealthiest or had substantial amount or highly valuable jewelry!!! He was in on it and might not be the only one. Third and fourth floor has no cameras?! Wouldn't that be the bigger suites on a penthouse level reserved for the wealthiest possibly?! How convenient!!! Smh

Good lord, what a casual attitude of the home's director. I'm wondering if he wasn't up to no good himself, and so having little security was to his advantage as well.
DAs have to make decisions about which cases they can prove. And in a situation like this a good DA would meet with all the families and brief them before announcing which cases would be going to trial.

Assisted living & nursing homes are just businesses, out to make money. I worked at a nursing home back in the late 80s. They hired a new girl who only worked the nite shift. We came on at 6:45 am & she’d just be sitting, looking at a magazine. Lazy, minimal type of worker we suspected, but few wanted to work nites. That week, the first patient died at nite. She wasnt on medications, but was an annoying patient. Then, there were 2 that died the next week. We all felt weird when we came in the mornings, as if we suddenly had a curse. 5 died at nite within a month. Another assistant & I went to the police without telling anyone. We were told that patients were expected to die & no autopsy is done. They’d have to be stabbed, shot, strangled, or have foam on their mouth to create any attention. We explained that none were dying due to any disease & we had quietly interviewed some of the roommates that heard the bars of the bed next to them rattling loudly behind the curtain, waking them, & told them to be quiet bc they needed sleep.Patients never had curtains pulled at nite, unless they were receiving personal care, & the lite would be on & the door closed. We were convinced that the patients had been smothered w a pillow, by one of the two nite assistants. We were told there was no evidence for an investigation. We knew the patients. Only our most troublesome patients had died, & it all began after the new nite assistant started working. I quit the next week, to enter nursing school. All I could do was pray for the innocent. I moved away & never knew anything more about the happenings. My co-worker & I know that new girl got away w/ murder, & could only hope she’d get caught!🙏🏼
@heeheeeeeeee2382 She has a name. Mary. Calling her granny is disrespectful and dismissive, turning your "compliment" into a joke. Adding to stereotypes.
Bless all those elderly people that should never happen to them they have the right to live their till it's their time may you all fly high with the angels
i think this one is especially terrifying because we all love our grandmas right and since there all old people the police will think it as natural cause
More and more people are doing this. My daughter has a ring camera but they also have cameras in every room and in the hallways. Her phone goes off each time someone enters or leaves her house.
It's deeply troubling to realize how quickly staff were to dismiss all of the deaths as natural. And this was supposed to be a high-end retirement home. Growing old is no joke in this country - particularly if you don't have money. And that day is coming for all of us.
YES. ! And this is also how they “get away with “ death by neglect when family members are not in the building - because it’s so easy then for the family to assume it was “ just their time”
Imagine paying premium thousands of dollars to a so called "luxurious" senior home then having to BEG management to do something about the mysterious several deaths!!! This is what happens when your society doesn't value senior citizens. The lazy police didn't bother until one prominent victim was attacked who luckily survived to tell her story
Agreed. Sadly those in foster homes, juvenile facilities, senior living, elderly, disabled rather physically or mentally etc are the most vulnerable among us and most victimized in various ways from neglect, abuse, S.A, theft and murdered by caretakers at facilities, therapist, relatives, those supposedly there to support and help!!! Many elderly women aren't just being robbed and killed, some are being S.A at alarming rates in these places by the workers!! Even having their meds stolen and replaced with over the counter meds. It's tragic!!!
Family needs to stay involved, have presence felt and known, paying attention, asking questions, speaking on behalf of loved ones, consistently and frequently visiting and being attentive to body language, discomfort, cries and complaints of loved ones especially ones that are non verbal or suffer disabilities!!! Even if they can't verbalize the abuse, get them out of there if they request it!! Find a different place they are happy and thriving at!!!
In my country, every sudden &/or unexplained death must be investigated as a homicide until they have reason to think it isn’t. Even if someone is old. This lady was taken off-guard, but she immediately understood the significance of the rubber gloves and kept thinking. She must have maintained quite a bit of mental composure even though she was physically overwhelmed - she gave some great details in her description.
The police forces was beyond lazy with these deaths. Down to there incompetence maybe more victims were killed. Also the retirement home management. Hope they was sued!! Disgusting behaviour
💯 😂 My grandma (paternal) got rear ended by these young guys and took off. She chased them down!!!! I was in the back, her sister, my great Aunt was in front and a car pursuit was underway!! Yikes! She was a great driver and when she caught up with them they finally pulled over. My Aunt wrote down the make/model/license etc (before cells, I was a young teen). They saw 2 little grey haired ladies and made the wrong assumption. 😂
This was heartbreaking! To think these senior homes are your last place on earth and then for them not to take adequate security precautions they are negligent. No cameras, or limited cameras. Not checking staff. And for this man to do this may he rot and be reminded of his crimes daily. This was a hate crime against seniors. Prayers to the families, and friends and the victims who suffered.
My wealthy uncle once told me that nobody goes from rags to riches by being a nice person who plays by the rules. That same uncle later declared bankruptcy and did time in prison for fraud, theft, misleading investors (many of whom were our family members and long time family friends), intimidation and racketeering. And my uncle wasn’t even THAT wealthy. He was locally wealthy, and was a (seemingly) successful real estate developer and owned a few businesses all within driving distance. Now imagine what people in the Fortune 500 have done to get there.
What a narrow minded, biased and calumnious statement. There are some evil poor people and there are some evil rich people. There are also hard working and creative people who have business skills that generate a lot of money, feed lots of families and donate lots of money to churches, schools and to the poor.
I'm not convinced hes not involved... Either he was tipping off this guy and helping to keep attention off him, or the victim count is so high because independently of each other and with no knowledge of the other, both men were doing the same thing and the coordinator lucked out that they caught the other guy and he slowed his roll after so they wouldn't realize there's still another one out there.
What a sickening coward.I’m so glad that Mary caught him,she saved countless lives.I hope she’s still going strong. Aw,I just saw the end.Rest in peace,Mary.🌹
I love that the children talked about their murdered mothers with the beautiful large photographs. But what a waste to do it in front of a criminal psychopath--he has no soul and could care less.

After bing watching almost all of the documentaries on this channel, I happened to watch another documentary of this case few days ago on another one. I felt happy when I saw UNSEEN have uploaded a video today, even happier when I noticed it was for the same case. A lot of the details (especially those concerning the victims) I hear them for the first time in this documentary. UNSEEN is undoubtedly my favorite true crime channel.
"We found that these murders were regarding deaths from deceased people." Deceased people died? What a newsflash lol. Next they'll tell us rain makes the ground wet. Also, the cops and esp that coordinator throughout this whole thing were just despicable. They completely mismanaged this entire thing, if not for the 91 year old I fear justice would never have been served
This couldn't have come at a better time. My mom lives in an elderly complex and lives on the third floor. She has been complaining to me that even though she lives in a locked secure building they leave the ground floor windows open at night. Just a screen!!!! I will be talking to management when I go see her. Why have a locked secured building if all that prevents someone from coming in is a screen?
Mary saved so many women, it makes me feel ill, how many suffered before, including the families. And the fact that, this appears to be motivated buy money. A pathetic lazy slimeball, making money of defenceless woman, and using the guarantee how many places didn't do all they could to make sure they were safe. 🥺 ...
Can you get the feeling that Mary couldn't die she had a job to do and that was to survive to get the SOB who had attempted to kill her and would continue to kill if she didn't stop him, and you see that she was right her testimony got him convicted without her testimony chances are he might have gotten away with it. Her legacy is more than just for survival or testimony or even her family it is the voice that she became for all the previous victims she became the voice where there was none add to the families of those who died she became a star that helped them more than anything else. She was a superhero think about it a minute how she survived one moment she was in cardiac arrest the next moment she was awake conscious and pointing to the policemen and her hand to show that even though she couldn't speak she was able to show him what he needed to know.
And this is _EXACTLY_ why I will keep my mother (who has Alzheimers) at home with me for as long as possible... I will do my best to bring people in when needed and use a camera in EVERY room she uses with my Mom. Some might think this is extreme, but I don't!
This is precisely why I leased out my place and moved in with Mother when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I took excellent care of her for four years and she died in her home that she loved so much. I made a promise to her and I kept it because our seniors are precious and we must protect them at all cost!
"Chemirmir is an undocumented immigrant, he has permanent-resident status, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Early in 2016, Chemirmir was spotted on the property of Edgemere, a high-end senior-living complex in Dallas. When confronted, he gave his name as Benjamin Koitaba and was told to leave. Dallas police instructed the staff to call back if he trespassed again. According to police reports and court documents, it’s the first time police know of that Chemirmir was at a senior-living center. That June, Edgemere staff called police and said the suspicious man was back. Chemirmir showed officers his wallet, which had IDs for Benjamin Koitaba and Billy Chemirmir. He was charged with criminal trespass and was sentenced to 70 days in the county jail but was released on good behavior after just 12." From Kenya-also numerous DUIs, beating of GFs, he disappeared after 2 yrs when he married. Lucky her!!

I love the phrase "life sentence without the possibility of parole." In my country, a life sentence does not guarantee that offenders will serve the full term they deserve. There's no distinction like life with or without the possibility of parole. This means that even if defendants are sentenced to life, they can still be granted a pardon or parole for good behavior.
I personally knew one of his victims. And, I know another woman who refused to open her door to him. There is no telling how many elderly women he killed--including at least one man. He is probably the worst serial killer in the US, and is rarely spoken of. He was killed by his cell mate in prison. Actually, 2 daughters of an earlier victim fought tooth and nail to get the police to believe their mother was murdered. July 2003, Billy Chemirmir, arrived in US on tourist visa from Kenya, overstayed his tourist visa to become illegal alien. In November 2007, after marrying a US citizen, he obtained a Green Card to permanently settle in US. His criminal record includes convictions for drunk driving, trespassing, assault, & obstructing a police officer. Chemirmir was a health care worker at Faith Hospice & was a home aide to many of the women. He sometimes posed as a maintenance worker. He had family here who owned at least one nursing home so he knew how to get around in them.
When I shop (I don't shop often) I always have my purse over my shoulder (Infront of me) and never left in my cart. So many times we see elderly women with their purses open or just their purses in their carts and I think how vulnerable they could be. When I was a child my mother‘s grocery money was taken from her purse at our local grocery store. I have never forgotten that event.
I did medical transportation for a while and i would pick ppl up from retirement homes and the ease of walking in and walking out is just that easy. I was stopped only once and asked to check in. Def need some type of security

Yes and animals.
The problem is that a lot of these people are very good at pretending.
Well, I don't think the families knew those people were only pretending to care when they left their loved ones with them 😅
Many of them don't even pretend
The truth is that NO ONE is going to care for our loved ones the way our families believe they do or expect someone else to. The people who work in places like this are employees only.

@@lesliebean4594 yes, i saw after posting he got what was coming to him.
My Dad always said "Show me a great fortune, and I'll show you a great crime"
What a narrow minded, biased and calumnious statement. There are some evil poor people and there are some evil rich people. There are also hard working and creative people who have business skills that generate a lot of money, feed lots of families and donate lots of money to churches, schools and to the poor.
@@granmabern5283 that's not the kind of people we're talking about, but you keep on saving humanity with your insightful scoldings 🥱😂😂😊
@@granmabern5283 Let me guess, you’re a big fan of Elon Musk
His cellmate took care of him last year
You’d swear that coordinator had a piece of the action by how little he cared and tried blaming paramedics.
I thought the same thing.
I was seriously expecting him to be involved or the actual killer. Just a foul individual.
I thought for sure it was going to be him. He had the best access to the apartments.
And taking down the flyers cautioning residents....
Born Billy Kipkorir Chemirmir
December 8, 1972 in Kenya.
Pushing up daisies as of September 19, 2023(aged 50)
Cause: Blunt force trauma
A tragic failure of detective work, clearly due to ageism, allowed this evil monster to commit these heinous crimes unimpeded.
RIP, and Condolences to the families.
I think it's prudent for everyone of all ages to have their head on a swivel. Men especially. We need to protect our women, children, and elderly.
Hundreds of victims! Such an evil man.
Only an absolute coward preys on the elderly 🤬 Tho police completely dropped the ball on this. Luckily, this brave lady survived and brought an end to his heinous crimes. So sad that she lost her most treasured wedding rings, but she has her life 💜
This is so terrible, how sad, this guy is so evil. He will face true judgement one day
This guy's eyes are dead. I worked Walmart after retiring. Used to looking for patterns. And out place things & I would scream the joint down.
Stopped a kidnapping & got baby back. Saved 3 from Pedophiles. We had a tug-of-war! I ended up in the parking lot yelling, "where are you taking them. They aren't yours!
And a lady in her 90's was lost. I stopped & helped her older brother.
McKinney police rushed to help & got her back. They keep an eye out for elders.
❤ thank you for all you did!
Blame paramedics, how low!
19:08 she’s not lying, Mrs.Harris was absolutely gorgeous. May she rest in peace.
Its so heartbreaking that they couldnt get him before he murdered poor Lu Ti ,She really does have the smile of a little girl ,Her Granddaughter looks like her .
Mrs. Mary looks amazing. Beautiful and strong! So glad she survived and saved so many other lives
Loved the respectful way you showed the victims. Thank you 😊
@24:12 REST IN PEACE MARY 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
"We found that these murders were regarding deaths from deceased people." Deceased people died? What a newsflash lol. Next they'll tell us rain makes the ground wet.
Also, the cops and esp that coordinator throughout this whole thing were just despicable. They completely mismanaged this entire thing, if not for the 91 year old I fear justice would never have been served
I think that's "thefts."
Thank you for telling us this horrific story as best it can be told.
She was great! I'm glad I got to hear at least this part of her story.
The amount of ads is insane now. I hate how UA-cam has changed. You skip a ad just to go into another ad.
Unfortunately you have to have a membership to avoid the adds
@@heatherrae3939 Or an ad blocker.
This channel pads the run time to get more in too.
I'm sorry, (not really) but how could the cops have been SO dumb for SO long?
This is an absolute outrage.
He was charged with criminal trespass and was sentenced to 70 days in the county jail but was released on good behavior after just 12." Another note-many of the 2 dozen deaths were attributed to natural causes or undetermined even though strangled. From Kenya-also numerous DUIs, beating of GFs, he disappeared after 2 yrs when he married. Lucky her!!
I swear this person has some amazing videos, no joke I have watched every single one of they’re videos
Wish they wouldn't pad the run time to get more ads in though.
"Their," not, "they're" (they are).
With all these victims missing jewelry, it's just unbelievable that Dallas Petey never bothered to check around and find out if any of it had been pawned until so many people had died
This crime was committed in Plano, they don't care about a bunch of old rings
Wow, he is dead inside! Usually I can pick up energy even through a still picture or video, but this guy had it all inward and so dark! His eyes have no light. Thank you, God and Jesus, for saving the lovely lady!
Everyone can pick up on good energy or negative heavy..if they pay attention..
I love that this woman survived. I hope her story taught that police department something.
Mrs Bartel is so brave to endure all that and to also help catch her would be killer!!
the police dont put the same effort into the death of old people. same thing happened in England.
My god can you imagine finding out a piece of jewelry you treated yourself to was taken from an elderly woman who was murdered for it.
never underestimate cops responder etc..how many have Also committed heinous crimes and been caught it not..they can also be the Reason for missing items.
That's why I don't buy 2nd hand jewellery
I love the phrase "life sentence without the possibility of parole." In my country, a life sentence does not guarantee that offenders will serve the full term they deserve. There's no distinction like life with or without the possibility of parole. This means that even if defendants are sentenced to life, they can still be granted a pardon or parole for good behavior.
Disgusting Justice. In many countries, that is the same!!😤
700 hundred or more dead elderly women - the police are despicable for not doing their job.
Yes, if he only killed 22 what happened to the others
700 possible murders that were assumed natural deaths
Picking on the elderly......despicable.....
