香川県立高松高等学校、東京藝術大学を経て、同大学院修士課程修了。
これまでにサクソフォンを、西宇徹、須川展也、石田智子、二宮和弘、冨岡和男の各氏に師事。
2000年、第4回若手奏者のためのコンペティションデュオ・室内楽部門において奥村友美（ピアノ）とのデュオで第1位、併せて2005年日本国際博覧会協会賞受賞。
2005年、第22回日本管打楽器コンクールサクソフォン部門第3位入賞。
2006年、第3回ブルーポラリス賞優秀個人賞受賞。
2010年、平成21年度香川県文化芸術新人賞受賞。
これまでに2枚のソロアルバム「The Last Country」、「CROSS」をはじめ多数のCDをリリース。
現在、BRASS EXCEED TOKYO団員をはじめQuatuor B、Trio YaS-375、Saxaccord、SAX PARTY!、シュピール室内合奏団の各メンバーとして、またサキソフォックスのラトゥールくんのお友達プレイヤーとしても全国各地で活躍中。
演奏活動の傍ら、2013年4月より洗足学園音楽大学、2014年4月より京都市立芸術大学において非常勤講師として後進の指導にもあたっている。

Brass Exceed Tokyo Saxophone Player

After working at Kagawa Prefectural Takamatsu High School and Tokyo University of the Arts, completed the master's program at the same graduate school.
He has studied saxophone under Toru Nishiu, Nobuya Sugawa, Tomoko Ishida, Kazuhiro Ninomiya, and Kazuo Tomioka.
In 2000, he won the 1st prize in the 4th competition duo for young players in the chamber music section with Tomomi Okumura (piano), and also won the 2005 Japan Association for the 2005 World Exposition Award.
In 2005, he won the 3rd prize in the saxophone section of the 22nd Japan Percussion Instrument Competition.
In 2006, won the 3rd Blue Polaris Award for Outstanding Individual Award.
In 2010, won the 2009 Kagawa Prefecture Culture and Arts Newcomer Award.
He has released many CDs including two solo albums "The Last Country" and "CROSS".
Currently, he is active all over the country as a member of BRASS EXCEED TOKYO, Quatuor B, Trio YaS-375, Saxaccord, SAX PARTY !, Spiel Chamber Ensemble, and as a friend player of Saxofox's Latour.
In addition to his performance activities, he has been teaching younger generations as a part-time lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music since April 2013 and at Kyoto City University of Arts since April 2014.
