Great idea!!!! One little suggestion, even while on trailer keep your equipment chained to trailer, I have had people try and steal my lawn equipment off my trailer. Another guy had all his stuff stolen while he was weed eating in the backyard. Just a suggestion.

GREAT job, Marq! I definitely see a future in the garage door business if the lawn care biz slows up! hahaha! Why spend hundreds when you can DIY and save big! That's just awesome, Brother!
Stay safe and healthy. God bless.

    Hi
After using this for over a year is there anything that you would do different ?
Does drilling the 5/16-5/8 inch holes weaken the trailer ?
    I have a 6.4x12 Dovetail trailer.
I also have spinal Stenosis and it is all and I mean all I can do to raise the loading gate.
    Thanks

    • @mlintonlawncare

No weakness at all. The only thing I will do before next season is replace the springs.

      @@mlintonlawncare
Why are you having to replace the springs ?
Did they get weaker or break ?
Think heavier springs would be better ?
      Thanks

For my use I probably wont be opening and closing the Loading Gate maybe 100-150 times a year
Maybe I can get 2 or 3 years out of the springs ?
Thank you much for taking the time to talk with me .
And by the way, Great Video

@@billyhenard1473 I think I can go another season but they are so cheap it’s safer to replace them. I’ve had them for 2 seasons.
