Hi Shannon, love this sign, my kind of project. I've never made a small one like this, I make the big ones for the front of the house. I don't have a cricut, I cut my stencils by hand, more work but ya do what ya gotta do....tfs

When using chalk paint do you have to seal it with sealer?

Hi there so I'm wanting to do a wood sign with stain like this but instead of using the vinyl as a stencil I'm using the lettering just wondering if you think the lettering will be fine as is or if it needs a clear coat over the whole project like a mod podge
When using a cloth to apply stain, is it ok to let it hand to air dry and continue to use for future projects? If staining wood in the garage in summer time when it is hot in the work area, does a fan need to be used to prevent any combustion?

I never knew the Oramask was positionable like that! I have been using 651 so I will have to order some of that! Do you use contact paper or actual transfer paper to apply to your wood?

A question, I noticed in your another channel that you apply varnish before paint it and this time it's paint, which one would you advise better? Is it depends on Oracle vinyl?
I use varnish over paint but not over stain. Something about the stencil sticking better to stain vs to chalk paint

Which store u get the wood from?
My stencil does not stick as good as yours does :( would you know why? I have such hard times with it. Also tons of bubbles. I’m using the same vinyl as you as well.
Hmm... my first thought - maybe the wood stain hasn't cured all the way? I usually let mine sit over night (painted wood signs too). Then the next day I wipe then down really well to get rid of residue and dust before I add the vinyl or stencil. It does help a lot to make sure your surface is nice and prepped first. I hope that helps!! Don't give up! I know you'll get it!

How do you never have bleeds? I’m amazed.
I have better luck with no paint bleeds on stained wood for some reason. I get more on painted wood.

It's really nice. it would be better with a voiceover rather than this music. Your words are hard to read when you're focusing on what you're doing also the words are slanted so it makes it even harder to read
Why does the Oramask have dots down the side?
It’s just how it comes. It not really made for Cameo bc it’s 15” (not 12”) but it fits and works! You just cut off the holes.
I asked my husband the EXACT same question. He works in printing, told me it is referred to as "Calendared" The holes can be aligned to some printers or cutters to keep it aligned if you have it on a roll feeder. A visual would be a handwritten UPS invoice. I believe they use an Okidata printer and you tear the edges off that have the holes. Hope that makes sense. Cindy
