Maybe there will be a main character for different movies, like the future mortal Kombat movies could focus on different characters as they flow, assuming they are successful and keep making them which I do hope they are successful! I love Mortal Kombat, and same thing this the villains, Shang Taung could be getting side lined until he tries to overthrow Shou Kahn.

It *could* be possible that he dies and is revived as a revenant, as was the case with MK9/X. They could be leaning into the NRS timelines, possibly. But again, this is a test screening, and a lot could change in the final edits.

I don't know how much I can trust these leaks. Not to mention the fact that there might be several different versions of the movie. This one might not be what's going to be what happens in the official film. Studios do this on purpose to stop spoilers from leaking or sometimes just to test the waters before deciding which direction to go. It would be so easy to make an amazing mortal kombat movie. You could even let a bunch of the main characters die in the sequel (like what apparently happens) and still bring them back. Revenants like scorpion and noob have always existed in the MK universe and it would be so easy to make the sequel the Deadly Alliance story.
