Hi thanks for making it easy for us. But I want to drop a line that if someone is really new to rooting then they also need to unlock the boot loader first which also involve to install the right drivers in the first place so please thumbs up the comment so people know what to do first.

Im getting really frustrated, i've been installing the drivers over and over but whenever i try to unlock the bootloader it just says "waiting for devices" and nothing happens... Please, help!

If my bootloader is locked and I perform the root ..would the bootloader gets unlocked automatically during the process or I've to unlock it first and then root??

I got as far as running the .bat, but it just says waiting for device. i am in fastboot mode. do i need drivers or something?

Did you make sure to enable "USB Debugging"?

Joe Woodley There is a lot to it to be perfectly honest, try googling this, it is a file name of a program that does it for you (more or less): CF-Auto-Root-hammerhead-hammerhead-nexus5 You'll have to google around, but be careful. Soft modder probably has a video somewhere aswell

How do I root my phone of my boot loader Is unlocked. I had my nexus 5 rooted before but I rooted it but didn't lock the boot loader

Truly appreciate this tutorial... Yet I have to tell you that you should understand you are communicating to non tech savvy consumers who have no software background such as myself. You are talking way too fast and secondly the volume at which you recorded rather the Microphone you used is extremely low. So I barely can make out what you are saying and by the time I can you are ten steps forward in the process. Its highly frustrating.

if you do not have the drivers for the nexus 5, these are the official drivers.
