Alignment of the second hand, check if the watch can be place in “reset” mode. Cannot recalling it half or pull crown pull. Use the pusher to adjust the second hand position.
Hi Dave, thanks for the review. An alternative is the Detroit Mint Mach Bullhead. I picked one up last year. Again inspired by the same film, I think it uses the same movement, great specs and build quality. Cheers
I'm in Tokyo right now and hunted high and low for this watch and couldn't find it. I'd given up until just yesterday I was in a department store nearby Yurakucho station and found it in their modest (by Japanese standards) watch department. They had a good selection of them including the star wars one's. Tempting as it was to buy them all up at only ¥24,000 each, I opted for the white dial. Yeah I love it. It's a happy little thing. After seeing the issue with the chrono hand alignment I checked mine and it's perfect all the way around.
Great vid as always Dave. A 12 totalizer is SO much more valuable than the ridiculous 24 hour dial. I hate superfluous gadgetry. At dang near 70 my spelunking days are as far behind me as my last trip to outer space (couldn’t tell day from night there either 😭) but as an old SAR Pilot with the Texas CAP I can sure use a 12 hour totalizer. Let’s see, engine crank 35 minutes ago and a burn rate of 5 Gal per Hour (& a 20 Gal capacity) means I have 3 hr & 25 minutes of actual flight time. The 12 hour totalizer will literally keep you alive. 24 hour dial will tell you exactly when (it breaks at the moment you auger in) you exhausted all your fuel the day before! 🤣🤪☠️😝💀👻
@@Plexcom60 I discovered 'Detroit Mint' through the "Mach" Bullhead Chronograph (purchased); this watch has the case and dial that made me remember my old 1972 AQUASTAR SEATIME I lost in the early 90's while sailing. I am enjoying it every minute since last year when I received it :-) The guarantee provided, kind of different of what we are used to here in Europe (EU). But Dave, the owner, is a quick responder.
This is beautiful and unique and most importantly affordable so people can actualy buy it.. And as others have said, you should be able to adjust the seconds hand if yiu check the manual..
Very impressive piece the blue is incredible 👍👍I'm looking to purchase this piece very soon, love everything about this piece..thank you for reviewing this citizen my couple tea..
Great stuff. I really like that they didn't go for a super high quality and high price rip off. It is an affordable quartz piece that might not be the best value, but it has something most expensive watches even lack, style and heritage. Great way to reintroduce this style, it might be a cult watch of the future too.
Any half decent jeweller or watch shop would be able to correct all those hands in well under half an hour for very little money. The problem with the date isn't the colour but the window is too small. A mistake most watches make and means the edges of the window, esp when accompanied by a shadow, interferes with legibility. No one complains about white date wheels on Rolexes.
I received from my father my seiko 5 from 1985 as an inheritance. This watch has worked in civil construction for over 25 years and has never stopped working with pneumatic hammers, cement, grinders, drills, 15 kg hammers, water etc. and has never been served in a watchmaker, and it still works on my wrist, any day I will give it to my son. this is the essence of a watch, accompanying us in the good and bad moments of life. and not to be in a box! Afraid of spoiling it because it's very expensive and it has diamonds and it's made of gold! this watch is priceless because of the memories it carries!, this watch cost so little and offered so much!, why? because it was made to accompany us and not to take our money. it was not meant to be art, it was meant to be respected and admired for its robustness and competence. thanks and congratulations to your channel, i wanted to see a rolex last as long as this seiko!
So true. It looks awesome and the size is perfect, but almost $400 for mineral crystal, 50wr and no eco-drive is a bit too much. Maybe the microbrands are spoiling us.

I like the Bull Head Reissue look. My Seiko quartz chrono can be reset and adjusted to line up with the marks. Is that possible with this watch? Pull the crown out like you’re gonna change the time and hold down the left pusher until the hand you want to adjust moves then use the right pusher to adjust the hand. Maybe, hopefully.
I believe that's possible with any fully quartz chrono movement. Only meca-quartz movement has to be taken to the watchmaker if it's misaligned. But please correct me if I'm wrong.
Loved how you just dropped the Japanese language like that. Very impressive, and not an easy language from what I've been told. Super cool Dave, thanks for highlighting this piece!! Have a great day!! And God Bless!
Nice to see Citizen coming up with some desirable looking heritage pieces, but the movement's inability to line up to its markers (or probably more accurately, the poorly aligned second hand) is dreadful! It makes me wish I would have snapped up a vintage Citizen bullhead when they weren't much more than this one. It would be a great one to look for on the used market (the only way to purchase Timex reissues, in my opinion, but it'll probably be scarce here in North America. Still, a lovely looking piece. Thanks for another great video!
Citizen calibre 0510 has been around since the 90s if not 80s... one of few quartz chrono that can time up to 12hrs... nice to see it 'resurrected' in this vintage reissue~ :D
Citizen and Bulova disappoint on their re-issues - they have some great designs then never offer a higher end automatic or manual wind version. Mineral crystal? Cheap quartz? Bulova at least uses their high beat in the Lunar Pilot.....but, they should have offered an actual mechanical as was the original.
@@hathaway.1166 Yes, they are very nice. Would like to see the reissues with at least a standard mechanical movement that has excellent accuracy if not their new Caliber.

But if you really wanna go for this bullhead look which got famous now 'cause of that Tarantino movie, this is it. I like the bullhead design a lot, and the bund strap makes it even more cool retro looking. But for that price I think I'd go for another Citizen or another brand/model.
