- Converting old sony radio to Bluetooth. Using unilink adapter/module that simulate cd changer and using AUDIO BUS IN and CRA cables and Bluetooth.
Ugradnja modula za Bluetooth na starom SONY radiu. Koristio sam modul koji simulira cd changer i koristio sam ulaz AUDIO BUS IN preko CRA kablova i Bluetooth predajnik.
Danas Sam te vidio, tamo kod raskrsinice sa onim ogledalom I to Je blizu moje kuce, htio Sam te zaustaviti Ali sam bio daleko.

Can you link everything you used to make the bluetooth work?
I used this adapter from ebay ( www.ebay.com/itm/255425470139?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=EUcJyBAAQri&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=TzVX7Ev-TuO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
I used nornam cable RCA to 3.5mm jack, you can buy in every audio store like I did.
And last one is Bluetooth receiver, mine is MPOW reciver. This is old one that I bought long time ago and I still use it today cos it has really good souns quality over Bluetooth. You can buy product like mine in every audio store as well. Just find with good audio quality and good battery life.

Can you explain a little better how it works, that is, I understand that you connect a mpow Bluetooth module and the other cable is from the bus in???
You connect this adapter where you connect the main cable from the cd changer, and the cd changer is sending an audio signal to the radio through BUS IN connectors on the radio. So this adapter simulates cd changer and you get an option on the radio to switch to cd changer, and you take your RCA audio cable and connect to BUS IN and connect your phone or Bluetooth adapter to thst RCA audio cable and that's it. Adapter simulates cd changer and you are listening you music over bus in.
Hey man, I have a CDX-C5000X and I just plugged a Bluetooth adapter for that stereo in and I can connect to it but have no idea how to play it. Not sure if I need to go to a certain station or smthin else
You need to connect cable to bus in at the back and go on Mode and change from cd to changer.
Do you know what's inside the part that connects to the sound? the 8-pin plug
It's pcb board inside and elements ( transistors, capacitors, resistors etc) that simulates cd changer is working so you can change on MODE to cd changer and then you can use BUS IN cable to play your music.

How’s the quality sound. I just ordered cdx600
Its pretty good quality, but you need to know that this is not Bluetooth, this is just mimicking cd changer, like its cd changer connects to the unit so you can connect Bluetooth to BUS IN connectors. So basically the quality of a sound depends of the quality of Bluetooth module you're using. Mine Bluetooth is MPow and it has great sound quality.

No they are not i think cos sony cd changer and Kenwood are not working the same, I think I was searching before and jvc sony and Kenwood using same cable but cd changers are not the same cos they are using different pins for power, ground and other signals.

Where are you running the aux cable from?
Back of the radio there is BUS IN for cd changer, there you connect aux cable.
Is the dongle itself Bluetooth? Like what’s the connections on the dongle. Or do you still have to use a Bluetooth dongle to make it work?
Its not Bluetooth itself, this simulate cd changer and then you use RCA cable to connect to BUS IN on radio and then in Bluetooth unit.

@@piercebenton7157 not on this one, on the radio unit you have rca connector that radio using for left and right side audio in from cd changer, you use those BUS IN (Audio in signal) to cobect Bluetooth to radio. This unit just simulate cd changer that radio switch to cd changer mode so you can use that audio in (Bus in connection) to connect Bluetooth and sony unit.

Do you need the stereo control to put it on cd mode?
I cant change mine to cd mode I dont have the control
You can change to cd mode when you open the panel and press source and it will switch between fm, cd or aux if it's activated. You can use other sony remotes but the only problem is that they don't have open/close button, other than that all other buttons work.
Sadly this adapter cannot be found in Kenya
Just find cd changer and hook it up to radio and then bus don't connect to changer, bus in contact to Bluetooth or phone and you will be able to listen music from the phone and changer will be there just to make bus in connection activated.

En el 600 y 630 si pero en el 800 no me funcionó. 😅
This model of mpow is not available anymore, but you can find newer models of mpow bl on eBay or AliExpress.
