    I remember actually playing under him as a conductor. He was visiting Cape Town during his later years. What a fantastic musician.

    @Noshirm Actually, he studied with Schnabel AFTER Busoni died.

    Agosti was truly a pupil of Busoni, while Zecchi took only a few lessons. I've just uploaded a couple of Debussy's Preludes for you to sample.

    Glib, facile, elegant, but the piano sound is a bit shallow, and some of the passagework is not as well articulted as it might be -- probably because of the excessive speeds at which he played.
