What I love about your tactics is how well you explain them, how it works, how to get the best out of it, AND that you provide us with home/away/third versions of each tactic. They're not just fun to use, but you give me a ton to think about when I try to create my OWN tactics. Thanks for everything, RDF.
Can you make a tactic replicating Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid, he has found a way to innovate due to the absence of a striker and is doing extremely well in all comps
A target forward doesnt even have to necessarily be tall. You can also try it with a smaller player, it will just make your players more likely to play to the target forward, like a playmaker, but that can also be done with ground passes
I am so glad for this video. I just took over Schalke in my journeyman and they had Sasa Kalajdzic and I was struggling to get much out of him. Now he's a picture perfect Wide Target Forward putting up a 7.9 rating
Love to see you back with the regular uploads! Would love to see a Daniel Farke tactic, leeds defence has been incredible since the turn of the year whilst also being devastating on the break
Thanks so much for this, if you look on UA-cam there are no videos really using a Wide Target Man. I've got a 6'6 monster called Hamzad Kargbo and just wanted to use him in this position. If you need more rogue ideas let me know. Thank you again :)
Lovely vid again mate. I think having a good Target Man up front can be very underrated. Ajax used Haller as a Target Man up front with great success even tho they were a aggressive high pressing side. A good TF also gives you an extra option to escape a press
Mais quelle plaisir, tu d'un niveau au dessus camarade. L'idee de jeu de peter bosz au PSV pourrait être intéressant a analyser. Merci mon ami pour ton travail.
Rdf, you are so productive!!! Great job! Could you please create a underdog tactic using 3 cb without much pressing. Pure catenccio for clubs like Union to overperform
You mean just parking the bus? This won't work in FM just as it isn't working in real life. At least if you roll it out like Chelsea vs Bayern in the CL finals. You can sit deeper but you have to start to be active at some point. Or you will end up like Chealsea with 40 shots on your goal. Just that 9 out of 10 times, or more like 19 out of 20 times, you will lose the game. You can play without counter press and you can play with a deeper defensive and pressing line. But you need to press more or much more in your own third.
@@omadduxo nah. I mean these: - 3 CD tactic - no high press or gegenpress - compact positional play in defence - the goal is to not let the opponent team to shoot from dangerous zones - mid or low block - counter press and counter attack is optional - possession as an instrument for defence: you don't play vertically, but patiently wait for zones to exploit - possession must be over 50% - average xGag must be lower 0.6 So it definitely not the bus. It's more like old Simeone or Allegri approach. It's not suited for any random team, but in my fm24 save I do it successfully with AC Milan. I think this one is kind of Control Possession tactic, but you don't press high and focus on the positional defence in mid or low block more
@@PabloCheerNightShow Ah ok. I've just seen to many parking the bus tactics where people then cried that you can't play a defensive tactics. Pretty much all my tactics use a mid block where i don't start to press or intercept balls before the ball comes into my half of the pitch. I could press higher but preffer to sit a bit deeper because it gives you more space to counter into. Player roles and the formation itself doesn't matter that much. The right marking PIs and OIs are much more important. Like what i like to do is closing the middle with marking PIs and OIs plus TIs like "trap outside". Combining that with "never mark tight" and "always press" OIs on the wingers. This usually gives me good opportunities to intercept or win the ball on the wing around hakfway up the pitch or a bit in my own half, with most of the opposing team being pushed up. All you need to do then is to find a good way to make your wingbacks cross and your striker score. The 3-4-2-1 formation is pretty good for deeper press/defend systems that look for counter attacks. - both wingbacks on support so they cross more often - the 2 CAM/DLF/F9/whatever you're using to create the 2-1 shape at the top can pull central defenders away from the middle into the half spaces and can provide short passing options for the wingbacks - a striker with good movement without the ball and vision to get into position for crosses or through balls. I had the most success with a standard AF but a TM works to if you have a tall striker. Zirkzee is a good TM and Quedraogo (midfielder from Schalke 04) can be a good TM to if you retrain him.
hey can i use a natural winger on the opossite side of the WTF? i have this crazy 19 jumping reach 16 crossing winger but on the other flank i got a player i spent 100M whos very good but i promise him to play him as a winger for the season, plus he's a left footed left winger (he still has good finishing tho)
Have used the Wide Target Man since FM24 came out with great success, i cannot believe it took you this long to find out how dominant this player role can be in FM24. =Z=
I havent worked out the particulars in this match engine but i loved to use the following with a controlled possession team with a high press in fm 21. Wingers stay high in build up as direct outlets to attack. iwbs invert with the ball to allow possession to tick over constantly. can be iw ,but not IF. from oppo goal kicks you match a back 4 completely and the Cf's drop in to block off passing angles to the dm's once first line of pressure is beaten, while the bwm sweeps in front of back 4. Of note need excellent centerbacks in the air to win punts up field once you stop easy ball progression. W(a) CF(S) CF(S) W(a) Bwm(S) RP IWB(S) BPD(C) BPD(S) IWB(S) SWK(S) So for current manu Garnacho Bruno(not his ideal but i would rather play a CAM here than rashford) Rasmus Antony Casemiro Mainoo Shaw martinez Varane Dalot Onana Regardless, double IWB is one of my favorites as long as you can maintain width for possession.
I’m so sorry I left that part out of the video. I did originally include it but was also worried it’ll have majority click off the video. What I found other than jumping and heading of course. Was aggression, first touch (important), teamwork (important), off the ball (important) anticipation (semi important) and concentration. You can’t go wrong with pace, that’ll make it dominant. But I had success with slow players like Cenk Tosun and Marko Arnautovic. Always better to have pace but it’s not like inside forward where they have to be pacey
To best of my knowledge Bailey doesn’t have insane jumping so using him as a Wtf would be kinda pointless, plus the role doesnt tend to play on the shoulder as much so you wouldn’t even be benefitting from his pace and dribbling
I think it isn't the role but the fact that the AI is incredibly bad in defending floated crosses to the far post. Both the opponents AI as the Ai of your team. I scored so many goals from crosses to the far post and also conceided a lot. It just sucks when your 190+ cm tall CB loses the header against your opponents 175 cm small winger. I'm not saying that the tactical aspect isn't working as intended and can't be good. I didn't had time to try it but it seems reasonable. But a good bunch of the goals scored are a match engine issue.
I got nothing but awful performance with this. Playing a 6 foot 5 WT who is classed as world class. Yet last 10 games barely keep the ball or get a goal.

Next role - Target Forward!
Amazing video. Please can we have a new Poch replication

He has a striker he's just shit
Man, you are class, your last videos are in another level, great work and keep going, great to see you back. Cheers from a spanish viewer!
Thank you very much!

Been absolutely hammered using this system and conceaded nearly 30 fouls per game and over 90 shots on my goal in 5 games!!

Stinger made this role viral long time ago

Nice one. Barcelona 2011-2012 in the 3-4-3 with Fabregas/Messi combo. I've tried, but cant seem to replicate. Seems impossible.
Currently trying it in my West Ham save and has potential. Having Soucek, Antonio and Mubama who can be trained to play there helps
Really enjoyed this tactic in my Leicester save, signed toluwalase arokodare and he is a beast in this tactic
Hello mate. You play all games with balance mentality?
Would love to see a counter attacking tactic - mid/low block, great work as always
Could you make a 3-4-1-2 tactic? There doesnt seem to be many this year
Tried this tactic with chelse its mental how good this tactic is and ive been putting anyone in the wide centre role lmao top if league only 2 loses
Mais quelle plaisir, tu d'un niveau au dessus camarade. L'idee de jeu de peter bosz au PSV pourrait être intéressant a analyser.
Merci mon ami pour ton travail.
Will test this tactic for sure! Do you think Jonah Kusi-Asare can play in the wide target forward role?
Can you create a tactic using the wide playmaker? I love the idea of the role but just can’t get it to work
ua-cam.com/video/p453ByIIQ9o/v-deo.html Brasilian Box with two wide playmaker works very well for me....
Any chance of a Brendan Rodgers at Celtic tactic RDF? Love your stuff man, can’t wait to try this one
I wanna see a Jupp's treble winnin tactics and random crazy tactics that uses two libero.
This makes sense. By default, Wingers seem to cross to the opposite Winger, so why not have a tall target man there?
Could you do ten hag man united tactic for last few games getting best out of dalot
its a rare role, dont think iv ever seen it before in other created tactics
Great fan of yours tactics and training schedule

Really like your channel bro!
I’d love to see you try and build Danny Rohls tactic at SWFC 👀 when it works it’s good
What do you think about making Jupp Heynckes ' s tactic ?
You can use tactics by Brenford Thomas Frank
Nice Jersey from my Hometown Club ❤☘️
First game my 200cm forward, switched him to wide TM. caused chaos.
Do you have similar video for Raumdeuter role? If don't please make a video about it.
Can you try to make a defensive tactic. No matter how much I try I cant seem to get one to work
Hey man, think you can recreate Pep's 2010/11 Barcelona tactic?
That marking on the Wide Target Forward looks like its a glitch, cause why are they marking him so tightly lol
Awesome tactic as always bro, do you think we could get a classic mou recreation soon? cheers mate
Any chance of Graham Potters multiple formations replication?
Can u do a Las Palmas tactic, at the moment they are 4-0 down but until this point had only conceded 20 and scored 25

Хорош! Тактический анализ и идея , вот что привлекает смотреть ролики !💪
Is Calvert Lewin a good fit for this role?
Could I use Leao in that WTF role?
When are the Barcelona video coming out?
Can you please make philippe clement for rangers tactics
Can you make a tactic using pressing foward (defense)
Is dcl a good choice for this role?
When are the Barcelona video coming?
Could we get a Ten Hag tactic using double inverted wing backs. Love the role and rarely see it used, let alone double

So for current manu
Garnacho Bruno(not his ideal but i would rather play a CAM here than rashford) Rasmus Antony
Casemiro Mainoo
Shaw martinez Varane Dalot
Onana
Regardless, double IWB is one of my favorites as long as you can maintain width for possession.
I think this could boss at Liverpool with Nunez on the wing
As a Nuremberg Supporter i literally screamed because of your shirt of our biggest rival 😢 WHY?
What sort of player do you recommend for this position

You can Retrain esposito, lucca, samu, Paul onuachu, luca moro to WT and enjoy those goals with the mezzala exploiting the space
Any chance of a solid 352
WTF is by far my favorite role. has been for years. the stronger the better. pure bully ball
can leon bailey wtf be used in aston villa tactic? Can a fast player be a good counter-attacking player with long balls for fast attacks?
To best of my knowledge Bailey doesn’t have insane jumping so using him as a Wtf would be kinda pointless, plus the role doesnt tend to play on the shoulder as much so you wouldn’t even be benefitting from his pace and dribbling

Imagine having prime bale or hulk in that role😅
I am using this on my Juventus side, and it is destroying the league 😊
Could you make a tactic with a regista never seen it used properly 😁👊
Bro pls peter bosz psv tatic
does the tactical style matter, also keep up the work bro
i've played around with this tactic and unfortunately it's just not working for me, idk if it's cause it cause of the tactical style or what.
