Movies always make grenade explosions similar to tactical nukes.

I would like to see what the explosions from one of these ACTUALLY looked like. I've been looking everywhere around the internet to try and find a MK-2 explosion, but can't find shit sadly.

You are overthinking it. The Mk2 explosion is not unique. Simply go lookup similar fragmentation grenades on UA-cam, like the M67 or RGD5, and you'll see how the MK2 would've looked like. There is no fuel explosion like you see in this video. There's some gray/black smoke. If there is dirt on the ground, you'll see the color of the dirt mixed in, as some of the dirt flies up into the air, depending on how loose the dirt is. Sometimes, but not always, you'll see a small flash.

Grenades don't blow things up like in the movies. Despite their explosive power, it isn’t the explosion itself that’s harmful. It’s the shrapnel. When a grenade blows up, the steel body disintegrates into a multitude of tiny pieces. Those fragments hurtle through the air in all directions, like a shotgun blast. The bumpy texture on the outside of many grenades (hence the nickname “pineapple”) helps them erupt into more effective shrapnel. If one of those pieces catches you wrong, it can be deadly.

The striker mechanism is different on American made hand grenades from MK2 to the newer M67.
The striker mechanism here is similar to the Russian made grenades and maybe the British Mills grenade...

So its not dangerous moving with them on body? Maybe an big impact could activated the mechanism also without leave the pin?
Technically looks like a loaded gun with one in the chamber

Couple things wrong with this video:
    1. MK2 simply refers to the model not its function. The MK2 (or Mark 2) was the model used in WWII by the United States. Other fragmentation grenades exist that do not carry the MK2 designation.
    2. The mechanism shown is from a grenade called the Mills Hand Grenade used in WWI by the UK.
    3. The grenades are filled from the bottom and sealed, not a hole in the side.

I wonder why they stopped making them? The chunks would make horrible wounds.
