I mean- you can clearly see she doesn’t like herself, must have had some stories to explain how she feels lonely and her ´ crime ´ is surely abortion so- 😭
@@aidorustan5132 Actually, in the voice drama Yuno reveals that she's actually pretty well off. She has a good relationship with her family and her finances are pretty stable, possibly even before she started doing her side job (I'm assuming that abortions, especially in a country that doesn't think too highly about it, don't come cheap). She knew what risks her "part-time job" would entail and she doesn't care. She outright admits that she doesn't have a "good reason" for what she's doing (and yes, she has admitted her "murder" is probably abortion) and she's disgusted that we would easily forgive her if she had one. That said, this MV kinda strikes me as her lashing out at the warden for forgiving her, maybe because the abortion(s?) have taken a toll on her and she feels like forgiving her over some "sympathetic reason" would be like brushing off this fact? I think the main idea is that, while Yuno doesn't particularly care whether we forgive her or not (we're in charge, after all, even if Kotoko seems to think differently), she doesn't want our sympathy clouding our judgement. Or she just doesn't want ANY sympathy at all and she thinks that forgiving her is the same as giving it to her.
@@0riginal_zer030 wow thanks for the clear resume!! I don’t know where to see the cd dramas unfortunately but I wish I could listen to them because they really bring interesting information… btw I totally agree with you, she seems disgusted.
@@monbub At this point would a Forgiven verdict be more of a punishment? its only feeding Yuno the notion that all she'll ever be seen as is a pitiful girl and be held to no accountability or responsibility. She knows she's done wrong and fully admits it and hates that we are blatantly ignoring that for the factors of who and what she is. Though interestingly enough she claims she didn't have a good reason but I think the MV, the window to her heart, is saying she did have a reason. It was out of rage. The last half of the MV shows her at the end of her other dates leading to the actual sex. However in the love hotel with the karaoke screen she seems numb before crying. It's likely the guy she actually liked found out she was STILL pregnant and chewed her out before storming out of the room. The fact the colors flashing through the windows in Yuno's head space are similar to the Vampire BG, it makes me think that the bed space is actually her womb and that Cat Yuno is possibly supposed to be representing both the child she's carrying and her inner voice. So when in the love hotel where she's staring blankly at the viewer she looks numb but inside she's upset, and her tearing the sheets and the pillows is both her having an emotional outburst and her aborting the fetus. I'm curious of how far along she actually was though if we consider Cat Yuno taking the glasses and the jacket as symbolisms of the fetus inheriting something from the father (possibly eyes and skin color) not to mention the shot of eyes opening at the very start of the MV
more like: "I know you think I'm innocent because I just look like a naive lovestruck schoolgirl, but I literally do it for money and love it so quit it with that bs"
@@Brandon-yq1tm well yeah, but she also directly contests the reason people voted her innocent the first time, that being that people assumed she was just a sweet and naive girl who didn't know what she was doing. this song is basically a teardown of that entire argument saying "this is the real me and I know exactly what I'm doing, so take your pity and shove it".
@@DolusVulpes I feel like this missed the mark a bit Because her judgement of forgiveness wasn't because she was thought of as cute or naive, irs because what she did wasn't really worthy of such condemnation in the first place. Imo all that needs to happen is that maybe she should start taking birth control so that she doesn't have to deal with the hassle of an abortion.
@@hintofinsanity that may have been your reasoning, but I guarantee there was a large or at least very vocal portion of the people voted innocent/forgiven that did so because she seemed cute, sweet, and naive and not because of her actual circumstances. There's a reason why one of the scenes has her literally removing rose tinted glasses from the viewer, and why another scene has her literally smashing those same rose tinted glasses to bits.
I’ve never once thought that Yuno didn’t know what she was doing. She definitely is aware and I feel like she’s saying we’re viewing her through rose colored lenses by calling her a pitiful girl. Maybe she wants us to say she’s wrong, but that feels like a path of self destruction?
Im think if we vote her "not forgiven" she will feels more herself because if we don't, we will bascilly say - stay in ignorance like the Yuno simps are doing
@@sero9673 what ignorance? She said it, she knows what she's doing, but she has the wrong idea on why we forgave her (or at least a part of us), she thinks people only voted "forgive" because they think she's "innocent" in a naive kind of way, that she has to have a sad backstory, but the truth is, a lot of us just don't think her "crime" is a crime at all
@@lapisangstylazuli This isn’t a matter of “crime or legal” or “innocent or guilty” lmao the whole point of milgram is morality, like you said, whether you choose to FORGIVE or not. Why would you forgive Yuno for purposely getting pregnant when she can just use protection or abstain?
@@dumbmonkey1313 and you know she gets pregnant purposely how exactly? Because that just sounds like a misogynistic talking point, no one gets pregnant on purpose to get an abortion
In the voice drama, it is confirmed that Yunos's crime was an abortion. To quote Yuno: "I aborted the result of the lots and lots and LOTS of compensated dating I did! That's probably the murder I committed. There you have it, the truth freshly served" So yeah, this is a pro-life vs. pro-choice trial... and a trial about us, our theories and Yuno herself. It is confirmed in this voice trial, that the prisoners can hear our discussions, theories, and comments about them. This song is directed at us. Yuno confirms in the voice drama, that she is fed up with us making her out to be some poor little girl, that gets used and abused by guys much older than her. Some poor girl, that needs to do compensated dating in order to feed herself. A pitiful young woman from a troubled upbringing. Yuno confirms none of this is the case. She has a loving family, whom she is on good terms with, she has more than enough money, and she knew exactly what she was getting herself into. She did it because she wanted to, caught an unwanted side effect of that, and got rid of it. Yuno questions why the same "crime" would be voted any different, depending on her circumstances. Why does she need a reason, a troubled past to be forgiven? She thinks our sense of self-righteousness is pathetic and doesn't want to be held to any of our ridiculous standards. And that's everything this song is. Can you forgive her abortion, even if she didn't have a good reason? Is there a need for a reason? She even mentions, that here "crime" isn't even a crime by law and Es corrects her, that this might be the case, but in Milgram, we decide. But also we always have to think about the other aspects of Milgram too. How our votes influence the prisoners and so on. Some other comments have more in-depth analysis on Yunos feelings and if what she shows to us is the real her or just another facade.
She doesn't need a reason. She didn't want a baby. That's it. That's enough! It's her body! Still voting her innocent. And this was the exact same reason because I thought she was innocent before. Is it about abortion? Innocent. Always.
After reviewing the video i more than agree with you that this video is directed at us : because if it wasn’t they would have done in a certain way like haruka where we clearly see his mom.
I'm pretty disappointed her only crime is really an abortion. I was sure they'd reveal there was more to it. Like, Shidou harvested the organs of 10 people, Haruka killed dozens of animals and a small child, Mikoto beats people to death with a baseball bat for funsies... we really gonna pretend that's remotely comparable? 😭 If she gets guilty at this point, it'd be purely due to the fandom's misogyny.
yuno doesn’t want to be infantilized and seen as someone who does no wrong and honestly i love her for it she’s so right what the hell is happening in the replies
But I don't think she thought herself does no wrong. She literally just call us out for saying she's innocent and felt disgusted, meaning she thought she is guilty. So here's my thoughts: I think the abortion affect her quite a lot. We don't know how many abortion she had but I believe many since she seems numb. I just feel bad for her just because abortion affect her way too much.
@@Kiki15578 The abortions affected her, yet she kept chosing to do them? Unless she wasn't consenting (and it looks like she was fully consenting) - she could always at the very least use preventative measures.
@@KennyWlr as a minor, its highly likely her parents/possibly the law wouldnt allow her birth control, and the men she saw likely refused to use condoms, which she probably decided was worth the money in the moment
the reason that we’re trying to “justify” yuno’s actions isn’t because we believe she NEEDS a reason to be innocent- i honestly love how she doesn’t like being doted on and is unapologetically doing it without one- abortion, no matter what, isn’t a crime and is just a person with a uterus doing what they want; and it doesn’t matter. the fetus isn’t a living being, so it can’t feel pain when killed, and unless someone is pissy it shouldn’t be hurting anyone, other than MAYBE the person who aborted themself. we’re trying to find reasons for yuno going into the industry not because we think it’s morally wrong otherwise; but because she doesn’t feel warm normally; we’re trying to find reasons for why she’s normally “cooled off”. (e.g., in her 2nd voice drama, when describing milgram’s prison, she says “it was warmer than my day to day life.” and here she’s like “the fading warmth makes me anxious again..” which is not normal ?????) yeah i think it was mildly wrong to say stuff like “she’s pitiful” or “she must have a bad home life” but her attitude is much like a burnt out gifted kid; her not caring about the standard, ethics, morality, and thinking everything is bothersome; ik that because i heavily relate to yuno, so i’m going to say there’s more to her than meets the eye; but i’m not trying to butt into her life and i say she can do what she wants unless it’s negatively impacting her mental health .
The child in the womb does feel pain, past the three month mark. It can feel itself being killed, it has a heartbeat. Abortion is wrong, for it the ending of an innocent life, before they ever get to truly experience it.
A child in the womb is absolutely a living being. To say that it isn’t is to contradict years of medical science. A child in the womb still grows, absorbs nutrients, produces waste, and performs all the biological processes that point to life. To say it is just one person’s uterus is to completely ignore the agency of the separate body of an entirely unique individual. From the moment of conception, unique genetic code is created that had never existed before and will never be recreated again; an individual human life. Taking someone’s life has almost universally been agreed upon to be an immoral thing to do.
@@find_chidevaSentience doesn’t determine the worth of a human life. That sort of argumentation is so ableist. And honestly unquantifiable. Measuring humanity by any sort of measure of sentience is always going to exclude some form of people with varying health conditions, mental neurodivergence, etc. Is a young toddler who doesn’t yet understand object permanence and other concepts less of a person? Someone in a vegetative state? Are you less human just for not having the same level of awareness of the self? I don’t think you’d agree that is a good measure of a persons humanity and right to live. The circumstances surrounding someone’s birth never make it morally justifiable to terminate someone’s life. You are saying that an innocent child, who had no part in the circumstances surrounding how they came to be, should be held responsible for those actions and punished for them with death.
no, of course I wouldn’t justify killing a kid once they’re out of the womb; if they’re newly born, that’s infanticide, and if they’re any older, that’s murder. the reason I don’t think abortion is murder is because a fetus is a clump of cells who just lives through their mother’s feelings; yes, I know how cruel and objectifying that sounds, but just hear me out. people eat eggs, and they have the possibility to birth life, but they never really did so, so eating them isn’t unethical, just like how abortion isn’t unethical. i might have a different perspective on it because I’m quite cynical, but eliminating the suffering that a child will go through is often impossible with how kids are placed in the wrong hands. in conclusion, what I’m saying is that abortion is a better fate than infanticide or child murder; yes, maybe it is “unethical” in the eyes of people, but without sentience or even awareness, abortion doesn’t hurt; often the one who aborted struggled too; like if they’re a kid themself and they would die from giving birth due to their body not being ready. i’m also a firm believer in not clinging to false hope and in support of euthanasia of patients in vegetative states and the like, so maybe that plays a part in it. see, people can hear everything in comas, and are just unable to respond. i guess i just lack empathy but i’m just trying to imagine myself in that situation, if i had a choice as the “victim” on another note, i’ve noticed that most likely your only comments on milgram’s channel are on tear drop and umbilical, which indicates to me you don’t really know much about yuno or the milgram. yuno is a highschool girl, only 18 (which, in japan isn’t a legal adult) and when asked “if you could commit your murder again, would you?” she replies “I would make it so I wouldn’t have to commit it again.” - youre kinda painting this girl as the villain when she just lacks empathy in this case, and doesn’t even want to hurt anyone. yuno is sweet and very nice, so you’re misinterpreting the character. she is also an innocent girl and she even sees what she herself did as murder as said in her voice drama. about what you said about it never being justifiable to end someone else’s life; take prisoner number 8, 12 year old amane’s case, for example; she killed her mom because she was being abused and indoctrinated in a cult, and a cat was killed because of her mom. she killed her because her mom “interfered with destiny” and that went against the ways of the cult she was taught; she killed her mom due to her hypocrisy, and due to her cult being sheltered, she didn’t have access to the outside world. that was her only means of defense. if you really are interested in the ethics of murder and stuff like this, please get into milgram! you sound fun to argue with and I would love to see your verdicts /gen
Both of those shots are when she's in her yellow outfit, which means her client went on dates with her to karaoke places. Yuno canonically listens to Deco.
I think the new alter of her wearing the clothes that wasn't in umbilical is her trying to destroy the visual image of her as a schoolgirl because she gets further associated with innocence, ignorance and naivety. Sort of a "treat me like a woman, now that you can see me as one" -- the pulling off of the rose tinted glasses was such a good visual cue. Also love that her song is literally "shut the fuck up, viewers" and the audience goes yesssss bestie innocent!!!!

I think Yuno misunderstood. We're not forgiving her because we think she's a innocent, naive, little girl or because we think she has a reason. We're forgiving her because it's her body and her choice, and it's not a crime to do what YOU want to do with your body
@@b-o-n-j-o-u-r Oh so that's what it means- Thanks for the explanation :D Anyways, I think the situation is different in this case. SH is something that most of the times is caused by things like depression (which is a illness), hallucinations, anxiety, etc. All those things are either considered illness or conditions that you may develop or be born with, what this means is that they didn't exactly had a choice in the first place. Ofc, you can say that someone with depression that harms themselves did this because they choose to, but they didn't. Depression is a illness and it chemically changes your brain, you may end up doing things that you wouldn't do otherwise. And if it's something you're born with then the fact you didn't had a choice becomes even more obvious. Someone that hallucinates for any reason can harm themselves but they didn't necessarily wanted to or actually choose to do that. Someone with autism can harm themselves because of loud noises but again, they didn't choose that. No one actually likes feeling pain and most people would choose to not feel pain if they could. Well, ig all I'm trying to say is that yes, it's your body and your choice if we're talking about pregnancy (Assuming you are in your right mind). But if you have a illness like depression that alters your brain or have a condition that worsened and for that reason you can't think straight then it's not ok. That's why I think the "my body, my choice" argument can't be applied in any situation where the person isn't in their right mind. If you can't think like you normally would then you can't trust your own choices that much and may need help. So yeah, if Yuno's case didn't had anything to do with pregnancy but instead it had to do with SH then I wouldn't use this argument at all. I'm only using this argument because this is about pregnancy and Yuno seems to be in her right mind. I hope this makes sense, I'm terrible at explaining myself in English 😭
And because she's willing to admit it in its entirety. No other prisoner has told us *exactly* what their type and method of "murder" was, including Kotoko.
It’s a generally accepted idea that the four different outfits we see Yuno wear in both her MVs (braids Yuno, schoolgirl Yuno, fancy dress Yuno, and yellow shirt Yuno, all shown at 2:01 ) represent the different clients she goes on dates with, as well as the different personas she puts on for each man. In this MV, we’re also introduced to catgirl lingerie Yuno, who does not represent a client or a persona but the “true” Yuno, or, in my opinion, what Yuno sees herself as. At 2:17 we see braids Yuno in a car, dress Yuno in a hotel room, and yellow shirt Yuno on a bed, all of them looking sad. Intercourse with those clients doesn’t really make her “warm” /happy, it just makes her empty and sad when it’s over. However, during the scenes where “true”/catgirl Yuno is with schoolgirl Yuno, she looks happy. Schoolgirl Yuno is also shown giving catgirl Yuno a sweater, aka giving her the “warmth” see seeks through compensated dating. I think that in these scenes, schoolgirl Yuno represents a particular client of Yuno’s rather than one of her personas. I think Yuno had feelings for that client. Or, at the very least she genuinely enjoyed her time with him as opposed to the time spent with other clients.
Yuno having feelings for one client makes a lot of sense with the first line of the song: "The wanted wanting the wanter." That's probably accurate. I wonder if that's why she feels so confident in her choices even after the abortion. She decided that her love for her client was worth the consequences, so she feels satisfied rather than regretful. Now she wants us, her judges, to understand that she knew what she was getting into.
Your interpretation of school girl Yuno makes so much sense! I guess the client found out that this sweet version of Yuno is fake. So he broke up with her or rather stoped being interested. The true Yuno (or how she sees herself) insults him and tells him to go away while school girl Yuno smiles at him for calling her naive.
@WikiJippo It's possible she is. They aren't 100% effective. Or she's worried about side effects or how people would react? The culture around contraceptives in Japan might not be the same as it is in some places, and if Japan's treatment of mental health is any indication, education and acceptance surrounding contraceptives may not be great. IDK,though, that's just a guess. I'll look into later if I remember.
@WikiJippo I don't think school girl is supposed to be a pure and innocent character. I think she's sweet and childish and that makes a certain type men (unsure, weak personality) want to protect her. But this sort of men want girls to know about sex so they don't feel awkward
The song clearly says she doesn't want to be seen as normal, in 1:30, the glasses represent how we see her, so she takes them off so we could see her in another perspective, in the end, out of anger, she destroys the glasses, she doesn't want to be seen as normal, also if you look closely in undercover, she was giving birth, her abortion was probably different than what people can think of, Yuno herself doesn't want people to see her as normal, study her character and storyline before saying this please!!!
The lyrics where she said: "Don't measure me against your morality." "Your self-righteous pardon." "You know-it-all." "Half-baked sense of justice" Could she possibly be referring to us? The voters? I'm sure we can all agree that we have our own morals and principles of what is right and wrong. "Feeling magnanimous? INNOCENT? I'm so not that." Does she believe she isn't innocent? Note that the innocent word is capitalized.
Okay those things she said she must real be referring to us well the others Because theyre voting factor is Meta Voting,Slay voting, simp voting, etc It doesnt even relate to whats really happening they just vote cause of those reasons
The INNOCENT et GUILTY words are (and probably will be) capitalized in every video. I think that the characters know the votes (and voters) existence, but it's also to remind us voters what the verdict was before.
Listening to the song + drama cd on spotify, combined with this MV, basically confirm that Yuno does this on her own which she's aware that it's wrong, and also basically the reason why she doesn't like people who voted to forgive her, especially people who does vote to forgive thinking she might have reasons for doing it Well, those aside, considering the MV part from 2:15 to 2:45 tells a different story, she does have a reason for selling her body or finding sugar daddy (which what she said from the drama cd that she did do those), considering the song lyric did say "the fading warmth makes me anxious again" probably pointing out that she does have a problem, especially related to relationship and being lonely

I cannot expressed how stressed I am watching the guilty percentage creep up from 17% to 19% in a few days. Her situation is literally one of the most clear cut ones. She has the right to decide if she wants to be pregnant or not.
To be honest…She should’ve not done the dating thing if she didn’t want to be pregnant. Like I feel like Haruka is naive or doesn’t think having these relations with men will result in children. It’s a cycle that will probably only get worse. Either that or she’s a gold digger trying to latch these men with children.
@@riotkitty i think she could have used better protection/birth control potentially but she also is young and the men she slept with esp the older ones def are just as responsible for the unwanted pregnancy.
Yuno isn’t pissed at the fact she was voted innocent by itself, she’s pissed that es’s (our) sense of justice is so flimsy, she thinks we only forgave her because we pity her and see her as an innocent girl who didn’t know what she was getting into, when in reality, Yuno knew exactly what she was doing and the risks that came with it. Which is what I think the yuno in lingerie represents, not the “true” yuno, but the yuno she wants people to recognize is a part of her- she LITERALLY takes off our rose colored glasses. She never once said she Wants to be voted guilty, she simply does not wish to be viewed as naive, because she’s not. There’s a lot more to say on yuno but this is just my thoughts on her view of the innocent / guilty system and her verdict.
I think based on the season 1 votes, the characters probably think our morals are completely fucked. I disagreed with almost all the verdicts. It also looks like innocent characters can do whatever they want to guilty characters. The vigilante is literally assaulting all the guilty characters. Considering we voted a child guilty it says a lot about our morals.
@Erik Zhou I assume you haven't watched the 2nd trial trailer yet cuz yes, the guilty ones got their freedom 'limited' hence why they couldn't fight Kotoko (vigilante) back. If you put it that way, our morals are actually f'up since we think we have the right to vote and influence someone simply by relying on what their mind tell us despite being a clueless stranger. Amane guilty case was like teacher punishing a kid, expecting them to realize what they did was wrong but the kid pulled out an uno reverse card. And yeah, Yuno's song sounds like 'shut the hell up I'm not what you're thinking so stop it' to me so I agree. Since forgiving/voting innocent means affirming their thoughts and guilty is on the other hand; my two cents is that she initially disliked her action and to make the matter worse, when we affirm the idea of it. Seeing it as nothing wrong to be selfish to the point of self-destruction when she knows it IS wrong.
No MV theories here, Yuno’s wide open about what she did (we all think it's abortions, including Yuno). Instead, I want to take a guess at her psyche and what voting could do to her. *Major edit: Yuno voice drama input* Minor edit: Considering the purgatory theory + fixing up some points Out of all the prisoners, Yuno had the least harmful effects with the others. However, aside from Haruka, hers was also the clearest “flipped switch” in her personality. She’s more raw and true to herself BECAUSE we forgave her. As her line in the voice trailer goes, “Forgiving me won’t make me warmer, you know!” And personally, that’s exactly what we need. Yuno's coldness is exactly what we need from a prisoner, but we have to be careful with it. More on that later. Forgiving a prisoner is said to “affirm” their beliefs, but ironically, Yuno is ready to be voted UNFORGIVEN, just like Shidou. Also, like Shidou, FORGIVING her seems like challenging her beliefs, but is instead CONFIRMING them. By affirming her beliefs and forgiving her, Yuno would also be the safest bet to test a FULLY FORGIVEN prisoner, as hard as that may sound for any other prisoner. Also, it seems that forgiving a prisoner reveals their insecurities and bad traits, which is probably bait to NOT FORGIVE them. Yuno was the least open person in MILGRAM at the start. She's annoyed at what people assume of her, because she had nothing to hide. In the voice drama, she clearly states her (assumed) ACT of murder: abortions, _but she does not elaborate her motives._ On the flipside, by NOT FORGIVING her, I honestly think that would backfire. NOT FORGIVING *restricts* a prisoner, which is not what Yuno needs. She was already self-restricting at the start with her facade in Umbilical. Also, by NOT FORGIVING, we're essentially proving Yuno's point about our half-assed justice. It might also play with the title of her song, despite how “no-regrets” she is in the MV. A *Tear Drop,* not for what she went through, but for her being pitied for all the wrong assumptions. Now, back to that point about Yuno being "cold." *Do you remember her 1st Song of Prisoners line, and the tagline of her video?* "I feel so warm..." and "Let's reload the warmth." Furthermore, she also states in her voice drama: "Am I even alive?" Either she's breaking the fourth wall by seeing our attitudes at seeing her fictional plights, or she is LITERALLY deathly cold, which could also play in her Vampire cover _thematically tying_ with her coldness, as she could be cold to the touch, hence why she craves "warmth." Could she be sick but accepting of her incoming _cold_ death? She could even be literally dead for all we know, if you all consider the purgatory theory. Aside from that, she's reinforced her practicality, to the point where it is almost a secret weapon. She gave new [but accurate] insights into every prisoner except Futa, Kazui, and Mikoto. Voting her inno would reinforce her impartial observation, which we WILL NEED as the chaos of 3rd Trial would unfold. As for her observations: - *Haruka* and *Mu* are overdependent on each other (This is elaborated in Haruka's drama. He plays a victim complex while satisfying Mu's control freak tendencies, but each cannot live without the other's self-satisfying "affection.") - *Amane* and *Shidou* are extreme opposites (Mostly Amane, she never liked Shidou, but Jackalope elaborated how Amane could possibly harm him soon, hence why Yuno said to consider their situation. This is definitely because we voted Shidou inno while we voted the child as guilty.) - "Kotoko is the type of person to jump into conclusions without actually talking to you about them." Case in point, what she did to Futa, Mahiru, and Mikoto. We didn't ask nor consent for it, but she did that. - "[I think] Mahiru's mind and body are at their limits." Jackalope reaffirms this. If we push her anymore, she's going to drop dead. She also says how everything is getting troublesome, which is interesting. Did she just want to live a shallow but comfortable life? After all, she doesn't crave love, so far she only craves *literal warmth.* How interesting. Edit: I almost forgot, but have you noticed that depending on how intense the INNOCENT/GUILTY ratio is, the more extreme the consequences? (*In Mu’s case, she was always bratty like that, she just cowers when she doesn’t get what she wants) Notice that the 3 prisoners Kotoko beat up were beat by how high their GUILTY votes were. (Amane was spared since she came in 4th) As for INNOCENTS, well, you saw what Kotoko did. Second highest was Haruka, and he had a huge shift. Third was Kazui, who blocked Kotoko from realllly beating up the chihuahua-I mean Futa. Fourth was Shidou, who saved Mahiru from the brink of death. And fifth highest… *Yuno,* who really just exposed her sheer cynicism and practicality. *Yunosweep is slaying btw, keep at it, guys.*
I really love how smart Yuno is, stay away from people's drama and observe them, at first I thought she was just a naive teenager but I'm glad that was wrong and made me like her even more.
The fact that the whole selfcest thing is just Yuno trying so hard to accept all sides of herself the way she is, with all the flaws and mistakes, even if she thinks she is not a good person in general.... :')
@@yawn1919 Hm, maybe it's because abortion is still a very controversial topic, and many people find it bad? Because I don't see any other problems with Yuno. Or maybe we're overlooking something..
I love Yuno for showing how complicated the adult industry is. Many people (especially young women) are tempted by the flashy lifestyle that seems to be portrayed in media but Yuno is different. She went into this field knowing full well the struggles of this job. I think she uses her line of work as a coping mechanism, doing everything she can to get a little bit of warmth. She hates herself and puts on different personalities for people when in reality she just wants to find out who she truly is. I think one of her clients was a regular, or special to her and that’s why she got pregnant. (Or there could be something darker underneath) She realized having a baby wouldn’t make her happy because she doesn’t even know who she is and that’s why she got an abortion. She put herself first for once rather than pleasing others which is why she broke the rose tinted glasses that represent her fake sense of self love. Through her audio journals she talks about how guilty she feels and it’s so sad. I’m voting innocent based on what we know for now
I don't think the glasses stand for a fake sense of love. She takes them off of a bunny whose pov we had been in so it's clear these are our/Es' glasses. She also never looks through them only ever putting them up on her head
I love this girl so much omg. She’s not just some innocent angel, she does what she wants. She doesn’t want us to vote her innocent just because she’s some naive sweetheart, and I won’t do that!! I’ll vote her innocent because she’s not in the wrong. People have the right to do what they want with themselves, and do what’s best for them. And she seems to have done just that.
ME TOO it's kind of sad that she seems to be thinking we're voting her innocent ONLY because we think she's a poor little teenage girl who isn't aware of what she's doing(even if thats still absolutely possible for her to realise it could have been the case when she's older). I'm voting her innocent because she literally didn't commit a crime IMO doing whatever she wants with HER body, it really isn't affecting anyone else(aside from potential heath risks to herself?). Her case in particular seems much more difficult considering the IRL split discourse/belief between pro life and pro choice. Even if Yuno will misunderstand why some of us are voting her Innocent, it feels too serious of a case irl to let her verdict be guilty just because of what she wants. I applaud her for being a character that exists with a crime that has so much unneeded discourse around she just feels rly needed to me
@@つり-c4w yall forget the part where she's seen straddling ES while stabbing him with a kitchen knife? the whole abortion thing is not why she's in under. She murdered someone.
from what ive read(from others) voting them innocent(or guilty) should depend on whether you forgive them or not, not whether you think they're guilty or innocent, they're all here for something bad they've done and its not a matter of if you think its wrong or right what they did, but if you forgive them for it.
Yunno's murder was not an abortion. In the first scene, Yunno is on what I theorize to be her first work date where her boss/her pimp (who we'll call boss from now on) is testing her to see if she it is fit for work. By giving her envelope with her 3000 ¥ he would be hiring her, giving her, her first pay. When he slips the envelope to Yunno, she imitates him by slipping it too, which would show that her boss has a lot of influence on her. In this part the lyrics say *"poor naive little girl?"* (Her boss told her this phrase on her first date to make her believe that he understands her and that he has sympathy for her) * So off the mark? What's that to you?* (This is what Yunno thought of her boss when he told her that she had to be "modest" when talking about her work or something similar) *That's absurd* (shows how Yunno doesn't agree with the ideas that her boss want to tell her about her work. Then we go to a scene where Yunno appears in lingerie, which must be the outfit Yunno wears when she is with her boss. She is scolding a schoolgirl Yunno, telling her *don't weigh me, measure me, against your morality*, *just shut it, you will?. You know it all* and *feeling magnanimous?, INNOCENT?*. This is the part with which everyone thinks that she is referring to the public but in reality they are things that her boss told her to manipulate her and make her feel guilty for questioning him (This is reinforced especially when she says "You know it all"). These words had a strong impact on Yunno, to the point that she says to herself these words, being said by the lingerie Yunno, who is a part of herself. This may be because, as stated above, her boss has a lot of influence on her. Later, it is seen how Yunno in lingerie removes the pink glasses from a stuffed animal (sitting in the same chair where schoolgirl Yunno was sitting, so the rabbit would be a representation of her) and she puts them on her head, symbolizing that she no longer sees the work of a rental girlfriend/prostitute with the color of roses, but she still does not feel rejection towards her work. Come to think of it, the rabbit may not be a representation of the schoolgirl Yunno, but may be the representation of the boss; seeing that the rabbit is not the same one that the schoolgirl Yunno grabs. The boss could be depicted as a stuffed rabbit since it is the gift he gave to Yunno and perhaps it is Yunno's perspective of him in the beginning. Seeing it like this, the pink glasses could belong to the boss and the fact that Yunno in lingerie puts them on her head, would symbolize that he entered into trust with her or that the boss stopped seeing her as an innocent girl and began to see her as fit for sleep with her clients, since in that shot where we see Yunno with the pink filter from the rabbit's perspective, it may mean that before the boss saw her as a very puritanical girl. This is somewhat reinforced with the lyrics of this scene where Yunno claims not to be innocent and takes the rabbit's glasses off, symbolizing that she wanted the boss to see her as suitable for the job of a prostitute and she did. The lyrics also say *carresing me with your "good girl"*, "good girl" being what her boss said a lot to congratulate her for doing what he wanted. Then we go to a scene where Yunno's different clothes appear sitting on a table. The lyrics say *I'm the one who chose, let you and you and you all in* (this would be a phrase with which he intimidated Yunno, so that she sleeps with her clients) *happy or sad?* *Why decide?* (The boss told her this so that Yunno would value herself less, leaving her feelings aside) *where'd you get you're half baked sense of justice?* (I think this could be a phrase that the boss told Yunno when she questioned his working conditions, such as having to sleep with all his clients, when in this type of work, girls can choose whether or not to sleep with their clients; Not being able to have safe sex with his clients, having to get many abortions and perhaps the boss taking most of the money Yunno receives from his clients as commission. The use of such a blunt and judgmental phrase may be because the boss is a skilled manipulator, and manipulators often use these types of phrases very safely to make people think they are right, when even they know they are wrong) *So nauseating... So creepy... Will you please disappear* Taking into account that the Yunno lingerie is saying this, we could say that this is what she now thinks of her boss, seeing his hostile and manipulative side. * Phew, Anyway * The fact that the schoolgirl Yunno says this, may be because it's the outfit in which she was never asked to have sex and that's why they didn't come on to her, considering her a 100% innocent girl. The fact that her clients pamper her and are so kind to her, is what makes her want to continue in that job and say this part of the lyrics. We move on to some shots where many Yunno in different clothes are seen, pampering the Yunno in lingerie, especially the schoolgirl Yunno, who covers the Yunno in lingerie with a sack that many suspect may belong to an older man like the boss, but I think it is part of the schoolgirl Yunno's school uniform since the jacket is gray like her skirt and bow. For me, this means that Yunno has a very bad time with her boss, but that all the appointments she has with her clients console her for the bad times she lives with him, because as I said before, the fact that her clients pamper her and are nice to her, is what makes her want to stay at work. We go to see images of Yunno in all her clothes (except the schoolgirl) where she looks exhausted, sad and melancholic. If you look closely at the images, you can see that Yunno has just slept with her clients in all the images, the most obvious being the one of the Yunno in the yellow shirt. These images show us that Yunno doesn't feel good about sleeping with her clients and the lyrics reinforce this: "Desire, bestow and desire again" "the episode reloading on an endless loop". The reason why the schoolgirl Yunno does not appear in these sad images of Yunno, is because as already mentioned, It is the only outfit in which no one asked her to have sex. Then there is a transition where we go to Yuno in lingerie, most likely after have sex with someone (who in this case would be her boss) as in all the images. There is Yunno looking at the pink glasses and frowns. After she throws them away and breaks them, an image appears of her smiling in his lingerie outfit and wearing the sack and part of her lingerie in the broken glass (I think these images show the moments she spent with her boss, reinforcing the idea that the glasses belong to him). The fact that Yunno breaks the pink glasses may symbolize that she killed her boss, since as I said before due to certain details, these glasses belong to him. Yunno destroying the entire room may indicate that in order to kill her boss he had to have a fight with him, destroying the room in the process. She looks very happy doing this and there are parts where she shows quite a confident and insightful look, especially when she rips the veil off the bed, showing that she felt quite empowered by beating up the boss who had abused her so much. The ending of her lying on the bed and covering her chest with her jacket can have many interpretations. Covering up can represent how she will no longer have to agree to sex work now that her boss is dead and if we take my theory that the sack belongs to schoolgirl Yunno, it could be interpreted that now she is clinging to her innocence. Another detail that may reinforce my theory that she killed her boss, is that judging from Haruka and Fuuta's MVs, they show a glimpse of the appearance of their victims and they are the only people who appear in the MVs besides them. (Haruka's mother, whose we could see her full appearance and the schoolgirl that Fuuta bullied on social media), and I think this video is no exception. The hand that swipe the envelope to Yunno would be the only person who can be seen in an MV besides Yunno, and consequently would be a trace of her victim's appearance. I think that if her murder seriously had been an abortion, they would have shown a fetus or at least an ultrasound so as not to be so graphic. And the fact that Yunno has said in her Voice Drama that this is the crime she committed does not confirm it at all since she says *Thats PROBABLY the crime I committed!* and I also suspect that she said that about the abortions to confuse Es and so that he does not know what his crime really was Some sentences may be misspelled as English is not my first language and I am just running everything through Google translate. Know excuse me. Thank you for reading.
Yuno's second trial's verdict: *FORGIVEN* (78.55%) Yuno had answered 20 interrogation questions: Q1: Do you like yourself? A: To some extent? If I were to be reborn as myself once again I probably wouldn't hate it that much. Q2: What's your opinion on the Jailer? A: It's like "Thank you for your hard work". Well, do your best. Q3: Do you want to leave MILGRAM? A: Well, I've gotten tired of this place. I think it's time to go home. Q4: Tell us the origin of your name. A: It means gentle, honest. Q5: Do you think you will be forgiven this time as well? A: Don't you think asking us that is kinda lame? The one who has to choose is the Jailer after all. Q6: What is a father to you? A: We already talked about my family's structure, didn't we? I already told you that I don't have a father. Q7: What would you do if you receive 1.000.000¥ and you must spend right now? A: I'd have a nice meal with my family, then give them to my friends. Q8: Do you have any fun memories of your childhood? A: I think it was always fun. Perhaps that's normal. Q9: What do you think about Kotoko's attacks on the other prisoners? A: Isn't it just stupid? Even if you tackle on the problem right in front of you with violence, it won't change anything in the world. Q10: If you could turn back time, would you commit the same murder once again? A: I'd make sure that I won't have to commit it. That's it. Q11: Are there any prisoners you can't deal with? A: I wonder who it'd be? I can't stand seeing Haruka and Muu, I guess. Q12: What do you want from the warden? A: Something like, stop trying to justify everything I did with the reasons you came up with. Q13: What is the difference between you and someone else? A: I might be a little too realistic. Q14: What do you do when you're bored? A: I raise leg abs. Q15: If you had one wish, what would you use it for? A: Nothing really. As long as my relatives and friends are happy I'm fine. Q16: Which is more important, a person's personality or appearance? A: This probably isn't the answer you wanted, but I think I'd rather choose a moderate amount of both. If you have too much or too little of either, you'll turn out weird. Q17: How many years do you want to live? A: About 40 years would be just right, I think. Q18: Which prisoner is the most like you? A: Kazui is the only option. Q19: Would you forgive the other prisoners? A: That's not something you should personally decide, right? Isn't that what the law is for? Q20: Did you hate the person you killed? A: It was too much of a pain to for me to think about anything.
_Hmm yes very real,_ I like answers 10 and 11 lmao. Also, Kazui, huh? Maybe it's simply a looks thing, but I'm also thinking of his 1st trial song title
I think her lacking a father has to do with her need for male approval,in whatever form that comes in. And she said that if she could she would make it to where she never had to do the abortions. She’s clearly not proud of the abortions. And not have wanted to have an abortion, or the pregnancy at all. She regrets it, but the question was if she would commit the murder again. Her thoughts are contradictory to her actions. And the multiple abortions, the multiple pregnancies, are caused by her actions. she repeatedly got pregnant, knowing that she’d probably get pregnant again, she still sleeps with men. I think it goes deeper. I don’t think she’s willingly sleeping around. Maybe pressure. Because if she were to make sure the situation never lead to that, then she would have to stop doing that “job” or whatever it is. So i don’t think she’s doing it willingly.
Unlike Haruka's second MV, I think that rather than filling in the gaps and reemphasizing important moments from the first MV, this second MV fills in a part from the first MV we knew very little about: Yuno's "dating." The "dating apps" in the first video seemed pretty irrelevant, but here we see more about it, along with more of Yuno's "true nature." It seems pretty clear that she is, in fact, a sugar baby (check the money at 0:44 if nothing else), and that though she carries a lot of distaste for her clients, she puts on a smile for them. The thing I found the most interesting in this MV, though, was how the different Yunos interact with each other. At the beginning, the Yuno in lingerie (who I'll be calling the real Yuno here) seems almost mad on behalf of the Yuno dressed in white, who appears like nothing more than a doll (0:59). Then, the two Yunos go to bed. Later on in the video, though, the Yuno in white gives a cold real Yuno a blanket (2:07). I think that the white Yuno is basically a doll to her, given that it's a front that lacks personality. The scene where they go to bed illustrates that there's no emotional connection there, that it's just her by herself emotionally in those moments. However, as the blanket scene illustrates, Yuno gets what she needs from the relationship: assets in the form of money, and perhaps more importantly, warmth. Yuno's first MV had a focus on "let's reload the warmth," and there's a similar idea behind the line at 2:24: "the fading warmth makes me anxious again." A blanket is a perfect symbol for Yuno, because in her line of work, warmth seems to equal survival. She needs warmth to stay alive. Here in Milgram, she's become cold. I wonder what that'll mean? For some closing notes: - It's very interesting how Yuno has the Vampire image in the background of one of her shots, it seems the covers are bleeding into the main MVs. - Yuno seems to be following the idea of "rose tinted glasses" here until the end, when she breaks them. This means that Yuno's trying to see the world idealized, but once she breaks them at the end, she seems much happier. Maybe this relates to her murder? - Speaking of, I don't really know what her murder would be. Thus far, I'd assume it's still something with abortion/infanticide, like we thought from umbilical? - If anyone here understands the shots at 2:15 or 2:21, please tell me. They seem like very important shots, possibly linking Yuno to a pregnancy or something? But I'm still not entirely sure what's going on there. Right now I'd lean for an innocent verdict just because I still don't really think her murder was all that wrong? She's saying she's not actually innocent ("INNOCENT? I'm so not that), but that seems to be her thinking about her personality. I don't think that her being "fake" or unapologetic would make her guilty in any scenario, and certainly not up against murderers. I'll update once I get a TL of her audio drama, though.
About those shots. The one on 2:15 shows Yuno in someone's car. It can be either her feeling nauseous from pregnancy or, what I think is more likely, her right before she sleeps with one of her clients. Or her on her way to a love hotel. The shot at 2:21 is kinda the same. I assume it's her in the hotel room after the deed was done. Though there may be some symbolizm with her being wrapped in the curtains like that
I think 2:15, 2:22 and 2:28 are all the places her dates have ended. 2:15 is a car, 2:22 is an apartment/hotel? And 2:28 is a karaoke. The clothes match, at least. The final scene with the lingerie might be a love hotel and may be the place the conception took place.
The one at 2:15 seems like she's in a car, probably the guy she was with slept with her and left her there and she was kinda pondering about how that experience made her feel?
Though all of these individual ideas definitely crossed my mind (as well as many more) I was having _A LOT_ of trouble settling on what parts fit together in what way. I kept interpreting one thing one way, but then looking at another part and interpreting in a way that contradicts the rest. Just causing myself a ton of confusion really. So, thank you for writing it all out and helping me with that. (Also, the use of "You" got really confusing as to whether she was addressing the audience/Es or her compensated dating partners, NGL.) I'd be interested to learn more about the actual 'murder' itself or get more clues to it. I remember - and I still believe - that the First Trial was undoubtedly about erm... pardon my politics here (No one flame me!)... abortions. This Trial seems to have almost exclusively been filling in background details and providing character development without so much as alluding to information about the 'murder' itself. As such, I think that it has made it very difficult to provide a genuine judgement of 'guilty' or 'innocent' this round. In court, this would be less than mitigating circumstances, this would simply be character evidence. This trial is just going to boil down to people saying "She's a manipulator that uses men" or "She knows what she's doing and these men are paying for it". I really doubt that, in the long run, anything of substance will come from this. That said, your analysis is still fantastic!
I saw a comment a little above yours that said in the voice drama, Yuno's crime was confirmed to be abortion- lifted directly from the comment, from LolinaOtone: "In the voice drama, it is confirmed that Yunos's crime was an abortion. To quote Yuno: "I aborted the result of the lots and lots and LOTS of compensated dating I did! That's probably the murder I committed. There you have it, the truth freshly served"'
i love how they show her almost having 2 sides, but those 2 sides work perfectly together and take care of each other, like her more mature side protects her by having some edge and standing up for her, and her softer innocent side gives her mature crude side kindness and love, what a great way to portray her, yuno has one of the best stories because abortion is such a hot button topic all over the world, i love how they dont portray her as poor and destitute and instead showing that she only did this because she wanted to, really adds so much emphasis to abortion being a choice. i absolutely love it and yuno is becoming one of my favorite characters
The yuno's represents her clients. This is traced back to her 28th interrogation question: "How do you go about in what you wear?" To which she answered: "It depends on who I'm with".
@@IzzyD.Anarchy I think it’s more the yunos both represent both her and her clients, since she would change her outfits and personality to match their tastes, it blurs the line on whether her actions are providing comfort or the clients are. The ending either closing herself off from who she is underneath or fully being embraced by the clients warmth
In the last mv and the voice drama, it is confirmed that Yuno’s “crime” is abortions. This mv shows more of Yuno’s relationship with her partners, confirming that she is selling her body. It also shows her seemingly disdain for her innocent verdict. My theory is that Yuno believes we voted to forgive her because we pity her and think that she has some kind of reason for doing these “shameful” acts. In the mv, she calls us magnanimous. We are shown as a stuffed rabbit wearing tinted sunglasses (rose-colored glasses). Yuno aims to break the glasses, telling us she prostituted herself simply because she wants to. Yuno also believes that her actions are morally wrong. There is quite a bit of self-deprecation in the two mvs. “Am I a bad girl, I don’t want to know.” (From the first mv) and “INNOCENT? I’m so not that.” (From this mv.) Well, prostituting yourself and aborting the consequences will almost certainly be looked down upon in general society given the boomer mainstream puritanical attitude towards women and their sexual lives. Personally, I disagree with both of these points. No matter what her reason for abortion is, I would forgive her, and neither do I think prostitution is shameful. I do think Yuno needs therapy for her mental health as she is engaging in self destructive actions (less the act itself, but her attitude towards it.) However, Yuno is the farthest thing away from a murderer and I will always forgive her.
For the argument of whether another forgiven verdict would affect Yuno negatively (like with Haruka), I’m going to refer to a previous comment of mine and say that it won’t. Yuno is unhappy because she thinks we forgave her because we think she has some sort of justified reason. In this mv, she tells us she does not. If we continue to forgive her, she would know that her actions and her non-justification are not something to be ashamed over. On the other hand, if we forgave her first trial, but does not forgive her on the second trial, it would reaffirm her belief that we only forgave her the first time around because we thought she has a tragic backstory, and without it she is not worthy of forgiveness. _This_ would be what pulls her into a downward spiral.
I don't judge the paid dating and you have a right to an abortion but if it's 4 abortions like other comments are saying, at a point it's just being irresponsible and selfish to yourself and others. An abortion is extremely hard on your body and not something that should be done multiple times for your own sake at the least. It also is a very careless way of dealing with pregnancy and disrespectful if done repeatedly. I won't judge accidents but if you get an abortion 4 times by 18 you straight up weren't using contraceptive in any way, shape or form by those odds...
@@hi-sm6dx Okay somebody that shares my rational of sorts. I plan to vote her guilty because I feel like this attitude is reckless. It's not the abortion itself that's the issue but the fact that she's running into this situations head first with no guards. What happens if those men are dangerous? If she just keeps having more and more abortions due to carelessness and it's wearing on her body? I feel like the attitude itself is dangerous. She can do the thing she's doing but be careful and rational about it.
@@iciarsoto8860 I feel if she's deemed innocent she's going think that this mentality is right and dive headfirst into sinking herself further into it. At the end of the day I feel like where your votes it depends on what you perceive as worse.
She’s irresponsible at worst, but she never came off as naive. I didn’t think she’d become my favourite character but her complexity and lovely personality completely won me over. i hope her story ends well :)
Here is the rub, she could have also been responsibly trying to not get pregnant and due to chance or user error her birth control failed. It is surprisingly common. As much as we know now, she really has nothing to repent for. My biggest concern with her is that she is taking precautions and screening herself for sexually transmitted infections.
“Do remember, MILGRAM allows for sensibility, morality, ethics, legality, preference, taste, or sexual inclination as the basis for judgement” - Jackalope from the second trial notice
I haven't really followed Milgram, but it's really interesting reading the comments on this video and wondering if the creators' intentions were completely out of line with how the audience sees things... I see references to VAs saying things about expecting views of the character to change, but all the comments answering the character recognize a self-loathing sense of guilt in the character instead of malicious intent. And commenters by and large, for all kinds of reasons, just don't see her actions as criminal or worthy of whatever punishment is presumably down the line- it's so easily dismissed by the comments I've read in various languages that it's curious to hear things that sound like some creators saw this as a weighty and controversial character. For my part, I agree with this one not having done wrong... there's really nothing that could change my mind. Not her moral character, not her actions, not her circumstances. There's something almost banal about this teenage drama. The character seems to have personal guilt regarding the situation, but that doesn't mean criminality. Just something to reflect on for the future. Curiously, the video actually adds a stronger sense of youthful naivete to the character than the first one did... something about the getup awakens a protective sense of "ah, you're so young for that. you're trying too hard to look grown up, but you're still a bit of a kid." At any rate, it's a nice song.
I think it might be a cultural disconnect. Japanese culture usually views teenagers of any age as being as responsible as adults. The closest thing to an age of majority they have would be 16, when they have the ability to be emancipated, work full time, and legally represent themselves, and there's been a longstanding question of the age of culpability for a crime (which I think they address more straightforwardly in Amane's song). Even though we know that a teenager cannot consent to sex with an adult and also can't fully comprehend consequences etc., the Japanese view on her character would be different. In the wider lens of the public, she is effectively an adult who is choosing to act irrationally and without emotional maturity, and is choosing to have unsafe sex (and thus conceive and abort) for selfish reasons. And these things are all true, EXCEPT for the part about being an adult. Yuno is making these choices because she's a child, and thus can't cope responsibly with her feelings. She knows she comes from a decent upbringing where she has everything she could want, but still feels empty and lonely (which could be due to anything, but indicates depression or other mental illness). She's learned that feeling wanted by older men makes her feel good; the presents and money don't matter to her as she already gets what she wants from her family, but the feeling of connection between two people who want each other's company is something she craves. I think her getting pregnant is somewhat on purpose as she almost wants to punish herself for being a "bad person" and thus has to turn her self-destructive tendencies into something resembling murder. She feels guilty about what she's doing to herself and has to externalize it to give herself a reason for that guilt. Since the audience now has a very large English-speaking population, the majority of opinions are that she is a child being taken advantage of, regardless of what she has to say about it. We read her actions as being those of a child. But they expected at least some fraction of the audience to change their mind upon seeing her bad attitude, since some of the Japanese audience would already be leaning towards that interpretation from the start. I think they were probably trying to walk a line between "child who is acting more adult than she is" and "autonomous individual who is making selfish choices" and that's why there's the conflicting viewpoint coming from the video, it's just that they would've had to make her a LOT more unlikable as a character to change anyone's opinions in the English fandom.
I love yuno. She's just straightforward and doesn't want people to make up excuses about her or her life choice. She does it because she wants to. I admit I was in the wrong before thinking she went through smt horrible being used and was too innocent. But no. This is her life and this is how she wants to lead it. I'm so glad she's innocent
I gotta say Yuno is like the dumbest trial because the question is “is abortion ok?” And every time the answer is yes and they keep asking “ok but what if this” and “what if that” and the answer is still yes, it’s not that deep
i guess the creator thought the "pro life vs pro choice" was more 50/50 but after the results and specially now he realized it's more one sided and it's trying to make her seem guiltier
@@kellymendoza8662 Yunos case is not just prolife vs prochoice. Yes, your views on abortion might affect your vote greatly, but it is also important to remember that she is putting herself in great danger because she wants to be wanted. She could also put her clients' family relationships in great danger. So your views on prostution are also as important as your views on abortion. But me personally I will vote her innocent until the end lol. I dont think she has done anything wrong!
@@a100.3 even if it's a matter of whether prostitution is wrong or not, the only person yuno is hurting by doing sex work is herself. it's nowhere near equivalent to murder, so i don't think that aspect adds much nuance to whether she's guilty or innocent either
I don’t think she was intended to be a “WHAT IF?” or was created with the intention to condemn abortion. Milgram characters always were written realistically and meant to spark discussion on broader issues- And keep in mind we’ve viewing this from a Western lens. Compensated dating is more of a phenomenon in Japan, and abortion laws are different and still rather problematic (like requiring the consent of a partner) I don’t think it’s wrong or that she should be in Milgram, but there are tons of people that think abortion is only okay in certain circumstances. However, there are lots of people that get abortions like Yuno who aren’t victims of violence. Why must women suffer to be able to have control over their bodies? Would you still forgive someone even if they’re not a “pitiful girl”? I think she’s rather meant to ask those types of questions, and it’s a very relevant and truthful depiction. Just because you and I agree, it doesn’t mean these conversations aren’t real.
huh, now that kazui's video is out, its interesting that both his and yuno's music videos play with cat imagery. guess yuno was onto something when she said that kazui was the most similar to her among the other prisoners.

Yuno's VA: After her second trial, Yuno isn't going to be innocent at all.
Everyone who just watched: Yeah, so anyways [innocent].
I mean- you can clearly see she doesn’t like herself, must have had some stories to explain how she feels lonely and her ´ crime ´ is surely abortion so- 😭
@@aidorustan5132
Actually, in the voice drama Yuno reveals that she's actually pretty well off.
VA prolly thought we'd judge her for the compensated dating but nah, she's never going to be guilty because she never committed any crimes
@@monbub
At this point would a Forgiven verdict be more of a punishment? its only feeding Yuno the notion that all she'll ever be seen as is a pitiful girl and be held to no accountability or responsibility.

I’ve never once thought that Yuno didn’t know what she was doing. She definitely is aware and I feel like she’s saying we’re viewing her through rose colored lenses by calling her a pitiful girl. Maybe she wants us to say she’s wrong, but that feels like a path of self destruction?

@@lapisangstylazuli This isn’t a matter of “crime or legal” or “innocent or guilty” lmao the whole point of milgram is morality, like you said, whether you choose to FORGIVE or not. Why would you forgive Yuno for purposely getting pregnant when she can just use protection or abstain?
@@dumbmonkey1313 and you know she gets pregnant purposely how exactly? Because that just sounds like a misogynistic talking point, no one gets pregnant on purpose to get an abortion
@@Mycorrhiza Yuno is actually 18.
In the voice drama, it is confirmed that Yunos's crime was an abortion.
To quote Yuno: "I aborted the result of the lots and lots and LOTS of compensated dating I did! That's probably the murder I committed. There you have it, the truth freshly served"
So yeah, this is a pro-life vs. pro-choice trial... and a trial about us, our theories and Yuno herself.
😭 If she gets guilty at this point, it'd be purely due to the fandom's misogyny.

the reason that we’re trying to “justify” yuno’s actions isn’t because we believe she NEEDS a reason to be innocent- i honestly love how she doesn’t like being doted on and is unapologetically doing it without one- abortion, no matter what, isn’t a crime and is just a person with a uterus doing what they want; and it doesn’t matter. the fetus isn’t a living being, so it can’t feel pain when killed, and unless someone is pissy it shouldn’t be hurting anyone, other than MAYBE the person who aborted themself. we’re trying to find reasons for yuno going into the industry not because we think it’s morally wrong otherwise; but because she doesn’t feel warm normally; we’re trying to find reasons for why she’s normally “cooled off”.
(e.g., in her 2nd voice drama, when describing milgram’s prison, she says “it was warmer than my day to day life.”
and here she’s like “the fading warmth makes me anxious again..” which is not normal ?????)
yeah i think it was mildly wrong to say stuff like “she’s pitiful” or “she must have a bad home life” but her attitude is much like a burnt out gifted kid; her not caring about the standard, ethics, morality, and thinking everything is bothersome; ik that because i heavily relate to yuno, so i’m going to say there’s more to her than meets the eye; but i’m not trying to butt into her life and i say she can do what she wants unless it’s negatively impacting her mental health .
I heavily relate to Yuno as well and this comment made me really happy :)
no, of course I wouldn’t justify killing a kid once they’re out of the womb; if they’re newly born, that’s infanticide, and if they’re any older, that’s murder. the reason I don’t think abortion is murder is because a fetus is a clump of cells who just lives through their mother’s feelings; yes, I know how cruel and objectifying that sounds, but just hear me out. people eat eggs, and they have the possibility to birth life, but they never really did so, so eating them isn’t unethical, just like how abortion isn’t unethical. i might have a different perspective on it because I’m quite cynical, but eliminating the suffering that a child will go through is often impossible with how kids are placed in the wrong hands. in conclusion, what I’m saying is that abortion is a better fate than infanticide or child murder; yes, maybe it is “unethical” in the eyes of people, but without sentience or even awareness, abortion doesn’t hurt; often the one who aborted struggled too; like if they’re a kid themself and they would die from giving birth due to their body not being ready. i’m also a firm believer in not clinging to false hope and in support of euthanasia of patients in vegetative states and the like, so maybe that plays a part in it. see, people can hear everything in comas, and are just unable to respond. i guess i just lack empathy but i’m just trying to imagine myself in that situation, if i had a choice as the “victim”
on another note, i’ve noticed that most likely your only comments on milgram’s channel are on tear drop and umbilical, which indicates to me you don’t really know much about yuno or the milgram. yuno is a highschool girl, only 18 (which, in japan isn’t a legal adult) and when asked “if you could commit your murder again, would you?” she replies “I would make it so I wouldn’t have to commit it again.” - youre kinda painting this girl as the villain when she just lacks empathy in this case, and doesn’t even want to hurt anyone. yuno is sweet and very nice, so you’re misinterpreting the character. she is also an innocent girl and she even sees what she herself did as murder as said in her voice drama. about what you said about it never being justifiable to end someone else’s life; take prisoner number 8, 12 year old amane’s case, for example; she killed her mom because she was being abused and indoctrinated in a cult, and a cat was killed because of her mom. she killed her because her mom “interfered with destiny” and that went against the ways of the cult she was taught; she killed her mom due to her hypocrisy, and due to her cult being sheltered, she didn’t have access to the outside world. that was her only means of defense. if you really are interested in the ethics of murder and stuff like this, please get into milgram! you sound fun to argue with and I would love to see your verdicts /gen

第二審
ユノ Tear Drop
Teaserでの一言「くだらない」から実に物語っている。
「求める人 られる人で」
「The wanted wanting the wanter」
欲しかった 欲しかった 欲しかった
異常なまでの執着心。
ユノは何かを欲して止まないという事を如実に表している。
「くだらないモノサシで あたしを測らないで」
「Don't weigh me measure me against your morality」
「Feeling magnanimous? INNOCENT?」
「Who needs your self-righteous pardon?」
「If you want "me", come marco, I'ii polo」
「Hooked up till the morning to this sweet "Umbilical Cable"」
「Just shut it, will you? You know it all」
黙って? あなたは全てを知っている
3番
「ねえ知ったかぶりは黙って」
「Just shut it, will you, you know it all」

I think Yuno misunderstood. We're not forgiving her because we think she's a innocent, naive, little girl or because we think she has a reason. We're forgiving her because it's her body and her choice, and it's not a crime to do what YOU want to do with your body
agreed. i honestly don't think what she did was wrong.

@@b-o-n-j-o-u-r What does SH mean? I can speak English but only to a certain extent, I really don't understand these acronyms most of the time.
@@b-o-n-j-o-u-r Oh so that's what it means- Thanks for the explanation :D
Anyways, I think the situation is different in this case.
@@oof9762 dw your explanation is great, I understand it now, thx :)
Yuno, we don’t think you’re innocent because you’re deluded or naive. We think you’re innocent because to us what you did was not morally wrong.
exactly I literally do not care that she had an abortion and does sex work like go off queen
And because she's willing to admit it in its entirety. No other prisoner has told us *exactly* what their type and method of "murder" was, including Kotoko.
I agree !
YES!!!
Not morally wrong to someone like you... Yes

Listening to the song + drama cd on spotify, combined with this MV, basically confirm that Yuno does this on her own which she's aware that it's wrong, and also basically the reason why she doesn't like people who voted to forgive her, especially people who does vote to forgive thinking she might have reasons for doing it
Well, those aside, considering the MV part from 2:15 to 2:45 tells a different story, she does have a reason for selling her body or finding sugar daddy (which what she said from the drama cd that she did do those), considering the song lyric did say "the fading warmth makes me anxious again" probably pointing out that she does have a problem, especially related to relationship and being lonely

*Major edit: Yuno voice drama input*
Minor edit: Considering the purgatory theory + fixing up some points
Out of all the prisoners, Yuno had the least harmful effects with the others.
However, aside from Haruka, hers was also the clearest “flipped switch” in her personality. She’s more raw and true to herself BECAUSE we forgave her.
As her line in the voice trailer goes, “Forgiving me won’t make me warmer, you know!”
And personally, that’s exactly what we need.
In the voice drama, she clearly states her (assumed) ACT of murder: abortions, _but she does not elaborate her motives._
On the flipside, by NOT FORGIVING her, I honestly think that would backfire.
Now, back to that point about Yuno being "cold."
*Do you remember her 1st Song of Prisoners line, and the tagline of her video?*
"I feel so warm..." and "Let's reload the warmth."
Furthermore, she also states in her voice drama: "Am I even alive?"
Either she's breaking the fourth wall by seeing our attitudes at seeing her fictional plights, or she is LITERALLY deathly cold, which could also play in her Vampire cover _thematically tying_ with her coldness, as she could be cold to the touch, hence why she craves "warmth." Could she be sick but accepting of her incoming _cold_ death? She could even be literally dead for all we know, if you all consider the purgatory theory.
Aside from that, she's reinforced her practicality, to the point where it is almost a secret weapon. She gave new [but accurate] insights into every prisoner except Futa, Kazui, and Mikoto.
Voting her inno would reinforce her impartial observation, which we WILL NEED as the chaos of 3rd Trial would unfold.
As for her observations:
- *Haruka* and *Mu* are overdependent on each other (This is elaborated in Haruka's drama. He plays a victim complex while satisfying Mu's control freak tendencies, but each cannot live without the other's self-satisfying "affection.")
- *Amane* and *Shidou* are extreme opposites (Mostly Amane, she never liked Shidou, but Jackalope elaborated how Amane could possibly harm him soon, hence why Yuno said to consider their situation. This is definitely because we voted Shidou inno while we voted the child as guilty.)
- "Kotoko is the type of person to jump into conclusions without actually talking to you about them." Case in point, what she did to Futa, Mahiru, and Mikoto.
(*In Mu’s case, she was always bratty like that, she just cowers when she doesn’t get what she wants)
Notice that the 3 prisoners Kotoko beat up were beat by how high their GUILTY votes were. (Amane was spared since she came in 4th)
As for INNOCENTS, well, you saw what Kotoko did.

The use of such a blunt and judgmental phrase may be because the boss is a skilled manipulator, and manipulators often use these types of phrases very safely to make people think they are right, when even they know they are wrong)
*So nauseating...
And the fact that Yunno has said in her Voice Drama that this is the crime she committed does not confirm it at all since she says *Thats PROBABLY the crime I committed!* and I also suspect that she said that about the abortions to confuse Es and so that he does not know what his crime really was

Yuno's second trial's verdict: *FORGIVEN* (78.55%)
Yuno had answered 20 interrogation questions:
Q1: Do you like yourself?
Shes so real for her answers 😍🤩

Yuno really said "when im bored its leg day."

Unlike Haruka's second MV, I think that rather than filling in the gaps and reemphasizing important moments from the first MV, this second MV fills in a part from the first MV we knew very little about: Yuno's "dating."
The "dating apps" in the first video seemed pretty irrelevant, but here we see more about it, along with more of Yuno's "true nature."
It seems pretty clear that she is, in fact, a sugar baby (check the money at 0:44 if nothing else), and that though she carries a lot of distaste for her clients, she puts on a smile for them.
For some closing notes:
- It's very interesting how Yuno has the Vampire image in the background of one of her shots, it seems the covers are bleeding into the main MVs.
(Also, the use of "You" got really confusing as to whether she was addressing the audience/Es or her compensated dating partners, NGL.)
I'd be interested to learn more about the actual 'murder' itself or get more clues to it.
I saw a comment a little above yours that said in the voice drama, Yuno's crime was confirmed to be abortion- lifted directly from the comment, from LolinaOtone:
"In the voice drama, it is confirmed that Yunos's crime was an abortion.

@@eeveelutiongirl9933 It really is reckless but I think that if she is guilty she would think that is just for some "purity" thing
@@iciarsoto8860 I feel if she's deemed innocent she's going think that this mentality is right and dive headfirst into sinking herself further into it. At the end of the day I feel like where your votes it depends on what you perceive as worse.
半端な正義感のとこ神ってる
She’s irresponsible at worst, but she never came off as naive. I didn’t think she’d become my favourite character but her complexity and lovely personality completely won me over. i hope her story ends well :)
Here is the rub, she could have also been responsibly trying to not get pregnant and due to chance or user error her birth control failed. It is surprisingly common. As much as we know now, she really has nothing to repent for. My biggest concern with her is that she is taking precautions and screening herself for sexually transmitted infections.

アンビリカルの時の可愛い女子高生というようなサムネから一転、美しいお姉さんという言葉が似合うサムネになりましたが、このユノちゃんがどんな本質を見せてくれるのかちょっぴり怖さもありながらもわくわくです!

Compensated dating is more of a phenomenon in Japan, and abortion laws are different and still rather problematic (like requiring the consent of a partner)
I don’t think it’s wrong or that she should be in Milgram, but there are tons of people that think abortion is only okay in certain circumstances.
