This made me realize this character was really made for people to have pity for her in T1, and it fucking worked... I wonder what the hell would the writters do if she actually got voted guilty from the start lol
Tbf, her innocent/guilty ratio wasn't even that large in trial 1. She was only 50.83~% innocent, which made me believe some people saw through her pity party more than the writers thought
@@Finally_in_reverse This makes things even funnier bc girl was so confident we would vote her innocent that when we actually did so she was like "heh, I knew you would" probably not knowing her actual ratio😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
my guess is that given how she was acting, and the context we have now, maybe we woulda gotten full layers, but maybe the "pitifulself" she showed at the start becomes more and more her "real self" then her "god complex" self. Ironicly, her song actually convinced me to stop voting, because it kinda made me realize how badly voting (from my prospective at least) would just fuck with these people, and it might just be a losing game, cuz imagine what coulda happened had kotoko hurt her, or even then, had shidou not been able to act accordingly.
The fact that mu got 88.89% guilty when I checked was insane lmfao Edit: Its gone down by alot at around 77% now, but it was still kinda funny when it happened
This video gives us the context that I think we've all basically assumed: whether or not you call what Mu was doing before bullying or just plain gossip, she was clearly in social control of her school/social bubble/whatever. She liked to control them all. We also see her topple other bees to the point of shattering, which implies that, even if she just gave them a little push, whatever she was doing caused severe harm. She just laughs it off, though, saying she was bored. It's possible Mu thinks of controlling others as friendship (she seems to think Haruka doing whatever she says and liking it is the epitome of friendship) rather than people being afraid to question the queen. Either way, it definitely seems like that's a relevant part of the past. In her audio drama, Mu reacts very strongly against the notion that she was previously a bully. However, her best defense is that she says she never hit someone or dumped water on their head. I think Mu believes that bullying can only be bullying if it's physical (we see her on the ground frequently in After Pain, so I think the bullying that happened to her was physical). Thus, she genuinely believes what happened to her was completely different, and therefore, her revenge is justified. The end of the video gets a little weird, because a lot of time is skipped. The person Mu eventually kills shows up when Mu is talking about if people are jealous and want to betray her. That person approaches Mu when she's gossiping, and then we immediately cut to mu having stabbed her. (This happens around 1:45.) I think that the entirety of After Pain fits within that moment of 1:45. During that time, the tables turn on Mu, her previous friends begin to bully her (physically), and she begins to snap, eventually killing the girl who started it all in her eyes. Mu eventually flies out of the broken hourglass, but as it turns out, she seemed to be stuck in the top; it wasn't her side that was drowning, that was ticking to its inevitable end. It was her victim's. I'm really not sure what happened at the end, or when that scene happens. The lyrics make it seem like it's a flex from Mu, though; maybe that happened before all of this, where that girl was presumably bullied by Mu and her friends? As for voting, I'm currently unsure, but have a verdict nonetheless. Her audio drama and the song make it clear she believes she's fully in the right, but voting her guilty doesn't really mean much and it potentially risks Haruka's life. Still, I think I'd currently lean guilty. I want to teach her that situations can be nuanced. She seems to currently think that an innocent verdict (even with the slimmest of margins) like hers means she's completely absolved of guilt; we need to tell her there's more to it than that. EDIT: Back in the morning with more brain cells! I think I've figured out the end scene, at least in the way I'm interpreting it. I think that the victim is there symbolically, not literally, “after death.” She isn’t there in real life, just in Mu’s thoughts, sort of like how Heather Chandler follows around Veronica Sawyer after she was an accomplice in her murder in Heathers. As Mu sings about how everything is how she wants it, the hourglass is once again flipped. I think that the hourglass flipping is showing who's "on top"; whoever has control is on top, whoever's suffering and being judged is on the bottom. Thus, this end flip of the hourglass should mean that the victim is, after death, placing Mu back in the "being judged and suffering" box again. How could she accomplish this? Well, Mu is in Milgram now. As such, I think that there’s one way that the victim could still get her revenge: getting Mu a guilty verdict. Though Mu seems fully convinced of her own innocence, she definitely seems to have anxiety over the idea of her verdict changing. She tries to really sell Es on the idea that it would be cruel to flip her to guilty now that she’s been voted innocent, and this flip of the hourglass reads almost like a prediction on Mu’s part. The hourglass is flipped back at the end of INMF, so at the beginning of her Trial 3 song, she will be suffering once more, at Kotoko’s hand or just as the hand of the thoughts of the voters. Some lyrics clearly show her trying to convince us of the same thing: “Hey what if / If I am a bad girl / Don’t hate me. Don’t even try to proof from ‘After Pain.’” The direct inclusion of After Pain tells us, more than anything else, that she is directly addressing her verdict here. Mu believes she’s in the right, but she also believes that we may turn on her as well, whether it’s out of jealousy or whether she believes that maybe she is a bad person somewhere deep down. In either case, I think that, somewhere in Mu’s mind, she expects us to vote her guilty this trial. I’m not sure how I feel about that.
Really doesnt look like gossip to me when theyve cornered someone in this MV itself on the roof Edit: actually nvm, might just be gossip i thought that person wasnt part of their group because the head looked lowered
I read a comment that for a person who thinks he's innocent, Muu portrays himself in a rather... monstrous form throughout the MV (The MV shows his thoughts in the open, even the non-conscious ones) Not to mention the part of the lyrics where her anxiety comes out Even though she claims she was right, part of her still doubts I'm not saying this to clear her name, or she might forget this doubt she has for good and that would be bad, I just think it's better to keep it in mind and not demonize her entirely (Since in the end if she's demonized so much, it's because she's demonizing herself)
@@nocturne_interlude That's definitely true, she does seem to have some doubts. I just worry that another innocent verdict will completely eliminate any shot we have at getting her to realize that there is reason to doubt.
From what I've noticed, Mu has some sort of control complex. In her BugMuu form, she's the tallest in her group, however irl, she actually is the shortest which makes me curious about how much control Muu had over these 'friends' of hers. Her friends are basically feeding her honey, sort of like status or belonging. It is possible that the Bug scenes could be in Rei's perspective, her directly misinterpreting Muu as the leader from her social status. I believe Muu might've also THOUGHT she was the "leader" because her friends were using her, so she was always giving away stuff like lipstick and whatnot. One other thing I've noticed at 1:37, Mu doesn't take initiative, holding her hands behind her back while her friends are really upfront. She also doesn't speak until the friend to her right prompts her to. The person with their head down MIGHT also be one of Mu's friends and they are portrayed this way to trick us (?), and this scene is simply portraying them gossiping and spreading rumors, however I also find this slightly unlikely. It's more likely they were engaged in person to person non-physical* bullying. Going back to After Pain, I also wish to point something out about the murder itself. When heading outdoors, it is shown to us that Rei changed into her outdoor shoes. Muu didn't have time. This shoe factor is important, heading back here to INMF ー 1:46 We see that her shoe has fallen off. Why is this shoe so important that they panned FROM it to the murder? And how did it end up behind her? This shoe is also on the desk in After Pain I believe. Conclusion? The murder was an accident. Since Muu was wearing the indoor shoes, it caused her to trip. She had the knife because she was thinking of "ending" herself. "Counterattack is a suicide note." The Muu in the cocoon hatches after the murder and the honey she's accumulated from her friends flows out. Keep in mind this is just a theory I had. Additional notes; Rei might've been her close friend before and they also share a liking of fish (lol). And the whole thing with Muu saying 「"あなた"が好きよ」(I love YOU) while running up to Rei. So to Muu, Rei's "misinterpretation" was probably a betrayal to her. At 1:26 when Rei shows up, she says "If you want to betray from jealousy" ー Rei probably stood up for the victims, that or she called them out directly and as a result her friends started to bully Rei "I've told you what's gonna happen". (Placing the flowers on her desk, throwing her stuffs everywhere) Which caused Rei to flip that hourglass and cause the events in After Pain.
I’m pretty sure Muu didn’t actually have any control over the friend group, she probably got taken into the group rather than her making the group itself. I’m guessing this mostly because of her copying Sayu’s pose on the rooftop and wearing a pink sweater
Hey so I love this comment and I think you've noticed a couple things that I think are definitely important but I do want to adress one thing that bothers me about this reading. The shoe falling off could very well be an implication that Muu tripped - I really wouldn't know how else it would have fallen off, maybe a struggle? - but looking at the part of AP where the stab happens, you can see that Muu is seemingly throwing her entire weight into the stab (which could be congruent with tripping), but she's also holding the knife with both hands and stabs her right in the chest. Putting aside that stabbing someone right through what appears to be her heart is really hard to do on accident, if we assume that Muu tripped - and so didn't have time to change her grip on the knife - that would mean that she was running *at* Rei holding a knife with *both* hands and pointing it *towards* her. There's really no other way that both Muu tripping in INMF and the moment of the stabbing in AP line up, but that does signify that Muu had very clear malicious intent - be it to stab Rei or threaten her at knifepoint. If she was threatening to end herself, there's no reason the knife would be (actively) pointed at Rei instead of herself. Not that I have a valid alternative, but I just wanted to point it out.
@@whizkeysh0t Difference is Fuuta actually shows guilt and remorse after realising what he's done. Muu just thinks she's in the right because she believes she can do no wrong.
Hey MILGRAM, just wanted to say thank you for making such incredibly content. My brother was absolutely in love with your songs and the stories behind them. He passed away two months ago. Wish he could've seen where this all goes. thank you all for ur sweet comments. the support means a lot.
a reminder before this drops that metavoting in Milgram has never, EVER worked for us. voting Muu forgiven for the sake of Haruka will not go as planned. Amane was metavoted to teach her a lesson, and instead became even more insular in her beliefs. Kotoko was metavoted so she would align herself with Es, and instead directly went against Es' wishes, using her additional power to further her own agenda. metavoting in Milgram is NEVER as simple as 'if you vote this way, X will happen'. you're free to vote as you choose, but i see no reason to believe that things are as clear cut as Haruka being safe if Muu is forgiven and dead if Muu is unforgiven.
Was kotoko metavoted? was not there during her thing so I have no idea but my impression was that people that she was just because she was going after people who deserve it which sounds like futa case but I have not watch her mv in a while so i could be forgetting.
Kotoko was the last prisoner, so I don't think everyone in the English-speaking community had seen her VD or Q&A (and there was less translation at the time) She saved a child from abuse on the spot, which makes her case self-defence, so it was hard to completely blame her even if her way of thinking was worrying. And many people think that she herself has experienced abuse and is doing what she is doing to get past her discomfort, which must have influenced the votes too But otherwise I validate, too much metavoting kills metavoting (and the prisoners)
@@azaclex7765 No, not obviously Voting Amane guilty may also push her over the edge and put Shidou in danger if not forgiving her makes her mental state worsen again Forgiving her could bring her back to a calmer state and prevent things from going wrong (since Amane grew up in a place where people were violent with her when she "made a mistake" until she apologised, this could work and calm her down immediately) I think only her MV and VD will be able to fully answer the question
When she said “I’m doing this just because of being bored” and then “We are just the same” while smiling and looking at us .. i got chills 👏 That implies we are the same as her, having control of the prisoner’s fate, watching and judging from afar bc it’s entertaining Milgram really calling us out on hypocrisy 👏
It’s different tho Mu’s victims were most likely completely innocent people that she just felt like ruining their lives. Everyone in MILGRAM has taken someone’s life, it’s a bit different to play around like this with killers than it is with innocent people.
@@poporipopes4876 I think the point is, we have control of their outcome, judging them with our moral high-ground and playing with their fate, for our own entertainment and without consequences on our end.
@@JoezetteCecile and I perfectly get that. Still tho, there’s already a better example of someone calling us out on out hypocrisy is Futa, since he had been in our exact position in judging and punishing “bad people”. Mu’s doesn’t quite hit as hard because the people she hurt were most likely innocent and hadn’t done anything wrong at all. Of course, one could argue that we as the viewers are also all doing this out of boredom and to have some fun, the meta votes of the first trial and proof of that, but pas oppose to Mu who was hurting real people (in her world at least) we’re only judgin fictional characters.
@@tyreesjameswilliams35 "外ハネ,"is not a name, it's a hairstyle. We do not know her name, We have taken the liberty of giving it name… (Sorry if my English is wrong…)
My two cents (theres an edit at the end for a new thing i noticed) - The visual of her inside an hourglass that used to represent this stifling pressure, of time running out, in her "After Pain" MV now seems more like her desperate because everything is out of her control now. - Considering that MVs are a reflection of the character's psyche or whatever, T1's affirmation really made her so comfortable and happy that she doesnt even have anything to hide from us. Even the things we would consider is disgusting (like her attitude, and her bullying), she gloats that theres no mistakes and we agree with her. - The scene 1:53 feels like a panic induced euphoria that she's finally regained some sort of control over the situation. Whether its control because of her Queen Bee attitude and she obviously blames this person for how the tides turned on her in her little castle of power, or if its truly because she finally can "fight back" because of her perceived victimhood is up for debate. Im more inclined to the former. Edit: Something I thought was interesting, because I know the vase on the desk (usually a sign that someone has died) will be a point of discussion. There are cases where it's not literal that someone has already died, but rather its a form of bullying. Putting that vase on the targets desk is a way of saying "just pass away already" or will signal the rest of class to start ignoring you. Id like to think that Mu's target of bullying was still alive at the time during the end of this 2nd MV. And if I remember correctly Mu was holding the flower of the vase at the end of After Pain. Possibly implying she put it there herself, instead of what I believe everyone thought to be her recieving the flower in a "symbolic way". Leading me to believe that her telling us not to look closely at After Pain, could also be literal. There are a lot of scenes which can now be taken different from our first impressions, now with this new MV's given context to Mu's Psyche about her place in the social ladder.
@@Nomarura keep in mind that, her perception of bully might be different. Sure she bullied, but never physically.. She mostly starts the bully but the deed is done by the three bullies.
You're right about a vase with flowers part. One of the messages on the blackboard near the end is "いつもたのしませてくれてありがとう!お花プレゼントしておいたよ" -> "Thanks for the all the fun time together! I(we)'ve left flowers as a present for you" which seems weird to be placed there among other hate messages. Most likely that's being ironic in a "just pass away already" way. Also I feel like the context of how the hierarchy got reversed from her being a bully to being bullied wasn't expanded enough (or maybe I'm just missing some details). What we know for sure is that the girl who she ended up killing found out about the bullying and most likely played some big part in bringing it up to light. Maybe that part (and Mu's relationship with her) is what's important and will be explained later.
Video premieres in 5 days… I noticed a lot of people excited to vote Mu guilty- remember that the trial this time around seems to want us to vote in the opposite way that we did last time, and to keep all the details before voting. I’m scared we’ll fall into impulse votes. And I’m so excited for this song! Mu’s songs always slap and the little bit we heard from the teaser has been living in my head ever since. Edit: Well…. Mu… This one seems a little…. Guilty looking… I’ve never seen a MILGRAM look so incriminating.
@@thanatosdriver1938 They really did tell us to doubt our sins so I'm certain this trial wouldn't end so well (But there's no other choice so LETS GOOOOOO)
@Ruta I completely agree, I really think we should make this innocent, and I will try my absolute hardest to make it happen. And here's my take on this. Please innocent this verdict, Mu is in a very fragile state right now, and that she's realizing her mistake on her own time, and with the guy she's with guiltied, she may feel the need to help him and care for him, fostering a codependency that will help them both to realize their mistakes and to grow as people.
Aight, took some time to gather what I can gather: ⧗ ⧖ Chronologically, the story starts in this MV rather than After Pain; ⧖ ● Muu is likely a "queen" of the class hierarchy with close 'friends' that stick to her and benefit off of each other (Her definition of friendship in the Voice Drama). ○ ⧗ Her influence is strong enough that she can persuade her friends to bully someone while her hands remain "clean" (In the voice drama, she claimed to have never 'bullied' someone physically herself.) ○ ⧗ She, in particular, has three close friends that do her bidding (1:54 of After Pain) and are represented by the other three bees in this MV in both (0:32) and (1:30). ⧖ ● Now in (0:32), we see Muu flicking off a fourth figure, this would be the other girl in (1:36) that they picked on. The scene in (0:32) should imply that the girl challenged or disrupted Muu's 'authority' and was thus subject to becoming a pariah and bullied. ○ ⧗ In comes the Victim! She witnesses said bullying during (1:26) and the whole rooftop scene is likely her perspective of the events. In (1:43), it's Muu and the others seeing the victim witnessing their doing. ⧖ ⧗ ⧖ ⧗ *After Pain* ⧖ ⧗ ⧖ ⧗ ⧗ ○ Now in comes the whole plot of After Pain after that scene. In summary, the 'friends' turned their backs on Muu as she probably becomes the new school pariah instead of the queen, effectively inverting her whole school image and authority, now she's the victim of bullying by the three who used to be her lackeys. ● ⧖ This sends Muu into a state of stress and confusion, and the climax starts before the last chorus of After Pain (2:06). Muu notices the victim's presence and realizes that she can still turn the situation around through the one who inverted her authority. ⧗ ● (2:30) clearly whether Muu apologized or bargained, it doesn't work for her. Now all the stress and negative emotions explode as represented by the falling hourglass in After Pain, leading up to a final impulsive decision of ending the life of the one who caused her to lose her power. ⧗ ⧖ ⧗ ⧖ *It’s Not My Fault* ⧗ ⧖ ⧗ ⧖ ⧖ ● Now I don't believe the scene in (1:54) to be proof of Muu's character, in extension to the whole murder itself. I still believe that it was a momentary lapse in reasoning and that it wasn't planned by her. a fellow commenter @capririusart mentioned that it was panic-induced euphoria and I can completely get behind the idea, search for their comment if you want more details. ○ ⧗ Speaking of @capririusart, they did cover most of the things I mentioned and what I'm going to mention so please do find their comment as it also delves into some symbolism found in the MV. ⧖ ● Now something obvious to point about in the scene at (2:30) until the end is the mirror to After Pain. This likely shows the background of the victim and their motivation to challenge Muu's authority when she got the chance during the rooftop scene. She herself was a victim of bullying and it fuelled her desire for revenge against Muu. ○ ⧗ It was kinda fitting as revenge is now the whole theme of Muu's scenario; the victim got her revenge on Muu through After Pain and Muu continued the cycle by getting revenge on her through murder. An action brought forth revenge, which returned as another form of revenge. What's your insight on this twisted scenario that Muu created?
my insight is that the girls each had a gift for mu in 0:32 their queen. each brings a larval grub for her to feast on. this is analogous to the gift-giving she participated in. After Pain text messages talk about her gifting a tube of lipstick (taken from her mom iirc) to the other girls. Rich girls giving each other expensive gifts to show off.. And well, when you come up short, you're the broke bitch to target next. It's an All Girls Private School, and to my understanding this sort of behavior isnt unheard of. The video starts out with nearly several or nearly a dozen bees right? By the end she and her besties are dancing on the shattered remains of the other girls' self-esteem and social standing. I dont think it's something as grand as challenging her authority. It's just 'survival of the fittest' in a social arena. Bonding over torturing the next and freshest easy target. Mu knew this well enough that when she does kill, she's relieved knowing it'll take the attention off of her due to "did you hear about the tragedy that happened?" "it's horrible" (the gossiping shown at the end of After Pain, and the whiteboard gossip at the start and end of it. the end of After Pain implies people may have suspected Mu, but they still focused on the death with more priority)
I think it might even go a step further - I think Muu *intentionally* took the ire/focus off the victim in order to "save" her, like the victim saved the bullied girl. I think the victim was bullied in between the first girl and Muu, and that's why the cry of "I love YOU" is so important...
Mu's situation in milgram is more nuanced than the black and white that her MVs seems to portray, and I think that gives an interesting look into the way Mu views things. Her last MV showed her entirely as the victim, while this new one shoves the idea of her being evil down your throat, but I think they are both truthful. This MV doesn't disprove Mu was bullied, I still believe that the events shown previously, her getting bullied and "betrayed" are accurate. To be brief, this MV (albeit vaguely) confirms her trauma went along the lines of: Her and her friends(?) bullied others-> friends(?) cast her out-> Mu becomes bullying victim-> a peer who witnessed her as a bully ignores her-> she lashes out. In MV 1, we saw the side of Mu that she becomes when she feels unsure and alone, completely self victimizing and scared that her life will only continue to worsen. I wouldn't say her feelings here are invalid, I'll go more into this later. In MV 2, we see a Mu similar to how she was when she was a bully, a Mu who feels supported now that others have validated her. A reason this 180 happened could be that she was in her victimizing mindset so long, the second she got validated she flipped back to BugMu cause it was the last time she felt secure. The reason these MVs seem opposite of each other is because of how black and white Mu must see her situation. MV1: "No one is on my side, I must be worthless and wrong" MV2: "Look at all these supporters! This must mean I've done nothing wrong!" I think this behavior could be co-depenence. In order to feel ok, Mu must have people on her side. This is shown not only in her MVs but how quickly she became attached to Haruka. However when she feels that dependence, she feels the need to put others below her to prevent herself being at the bottom. Almost like a cycle. Its very, very difficult to vote Mu innocent here, but guilty as well. This MV portrays her as so evil it suspicious. Mu needs to see the nuance of her situation in order to become a better version of herself, but I'm not sure how that would happen with a vote. Maybe if the vote were to be near 50/50 that could change her perspective. She's still a kid so I think she is forgivable, but man its hard to vote innocent no matter how good the song is. This essay was me theorizing my own take on things, no need to take it to heart and im nervous/excited for her next MV!
I really don't think voting is meant to change their perspectives. It's only to get more information about their crime. Es mentioned something like this in haruka's vd.
This is a really interesting summary and analysis! Previously, her votes were previously very close to 50/50 in the first season. After s1 ended & everyone got new character sprites for s2 and some new voice lines on Milgram page. Mu acknowledged we might've been a bit "lost" about what decision to make, but she continued to say that it doesn't matter b/c she's done nothing wrong (maybe she could say that b/c she ended up being voted not guilty lol). Amane was a similar situation & she continues to be adamant that she wasn't wrong & that we made the wrong choice. So I wonder if after the confidence boost of s1 results, Mu would reconsider anything if the vote was near 50/50 again. I fear it might be similar to Amane where she just claims we made a mistake (maybe even "don't doubt your sense the first time! i'm not wrong!") Voting her not guilty again would just boost her ego, but strongly voting her guilty seems like doing what this MV intends for us to do so it feels a bit like a trap lol. Still not sure what voting strategy we should take and what actual consequences there are. If Kotoko was voted guilty last round, would anyone have been at risk of anything tho? ;v; I wonder if our current goal is just to make sure everyone realizes the error of their ways without punishing them with death...o(-< Sorry for rambling & not contributing much
@@teadrop_ I think voting her guilty wouldn't make her think we voted wrong. Her entire confidence boost originated from the innocent vote. Her being voted guilty would have to do "something" with how much importance she seems to put into it. I don't know if that "something" would be good or bad. But I highly doubt she would just casually shrug off the vote.
I think guilty with a 60/40 would make her self doubt while not going into the trap that they've obviously set. Or perhaps we're overthinking and they made the answer obvious on purpose.
Yeah uh... I think I'm just gonna not vote with at the very least, MU, because I feel this situation is more complicated with the haruka route. I also feel like there really isn't a good route with her, vote guilty, just bring her back to stage 1, vote innocent, make the problem worse. I'm not sure voting now is gonna help, and I'm honestly unsure how to handle this, and I was coming into this MV expecting to vote her guilty
I'm LOVING how these characters transform so vividly based on how we vote; Milgram is something special. Story series told through songs in general are something special

(This happens around 1:45.)
I think that the entirety of After Pain fits within that moment of 1:45.
Don’t even try to proof from ‘After Pain.’”
The direct inclusion of After Pain tells us, more than anything else, that she is directly addressing her verdict here.
Really doesnt look like gossip to me when theyve cornered someone in this MV itself on the roof
Edit: actually nvm, might just be gossip i thought that person wasnt part of their group because the head looked lowered
I read a comment that for a person who thinks he's innocent, Muu portrays himself in a rather... monstrous form throughout the MV (The MV shows his thoughts in the open, even the non-conscious ones)
Not to mention the part of the lyrics where her anxiety comes out
Even though she claims she was right, part of her still doubts
I'm not saying this to clear her name, or she might forget this doubt she has for good and that would be bad, I just think it's better to keep it in mind and not demonize her entirely (Since in the end if she's demonized so much, it's because she's demonizing herself)
@@nocturne_interlude That's definitely true, she does seem to have some doubts. I just worry that another innocent verdict will completely eliminate any shot we have at getting her to realize that there is reason to doubt.

Oooh that was what I was thinking too but you made it a lot more clearer for me to articulate my thoughts :DDDD

This shoe factor is important, heading back here to INMF ー
1:46
We see that her shoe has fallen off.
"Counterattack is a suicide note."
The Muu in the cocoon hatches after the murder and the honey she's accumulated from her friends flows out.
Keep in mind this is just a theory I had.
Additional notes;
Rei might've been her close friend before and they also share a liking of fish (lol).
(Placing the flowers on her desk, throwing her stuffs everywhere)
Which caused Rei to flip that hourglass and cause the events in After Pain.
I’m pretty sure Muu didn’t actually have any control over the friend group, she probably got taken into the group rather than her making the group itself. I’m guessing this mostly because of her copying Sayu’s pose on the rooftop and wearing a pink sweater
Wow really interesting 😍 didn't notice the shoe up until now.
THIS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA
@@mizoomy if you look closely, she stabbed her in the stomach, not her heart (would be too low)

a reminder before this drops that metavoting in Milgram has never, EVER worked for us. voting Muu forgiven for the sake of Haruka will not go as planned.
Kotoko was the last prisoner, so I don't think everyone in the English-speaking community had seen her VD or Q&A (and there was less translation at the time)
She saved a child from abuse on the spot, which makes her case self-defence, so it was hard to completely blame her even if her way of thinking was worrying.
And many people think that she herself has experienced abuse and is doing what she is doing to get past her discomfort, which must have influenced the votes too
But otherwise I validate, too much metavoting kills metavoting (and the prisoners)

@@azaclex7765 No, not obviously
Voting Amane guilty may also push her over the edge and put Shidou in danger if not forgiving her makes her mental state worsen again
Forgiving her could bring her back to a calmer state and prevent things from going wrong (since Amane grew up in a place where people were violent with her when she "made a mistake" until she apologised, this could work and calm her down immediately)
I think only her MV and VD will be able to fully answer the question

Everyone in MILGRAM has taken someone’s life, it’s a bit different to play around like this with killers than it is with innocent people.
@@poporipopes4876 I think the point is, we have control of their outcome, judging them with our moral high-ground and playing with their fate, for our own entertainment and without consequences on our end.
@@JoezetteCecile I think Yuno or Futa also called us out for it
@@JoezetteCecile and I perfectly get that.

My two cents (theres an edit at the end for a new thing i noticed)
- The visual of her inside an hourglass that used to represent this stifling pressure, of time running out, in her "After Pain" MV now seems more like her desperate because everything is out of her control now.
Edit:
Something I thought was interesting, because I know the vase on the desk (usually a sign that someone has died) will be a point of discussion.
Interestingly, she’s super defensive in her audio drama and tells Es she’s never bullied anyone. Kinda opposite the video which lays her actions bare
@@Nomarura that's super interesting! I dont get to listen to the voice dramas often, so I appreciate you sharing that fact
@@Nomarura keep in mind that, her perception of bully might be different. Sure she bullied, but never physically.. She mostly starts the bully but the deed is done by the three bullies.
@@roobilyne603 this, but the reason why she got bullied in after pain was because of PHG who thought she was the main person doing the bullying.

I completely agree, I really think we should make this innocent, and I will try my absolute hardest to make it happen.

Aight, took some time to gather what I can gather:
⧗ ⧖ Chronologically, the story starts in this MV rather than After Pain;
⧖ ● Muu is likely a "queen" of the class hierarchy with close 'friends' that stick to her and benefit off of each other (Her definition of friendship in the Voice Drama).
○ ⧗ Her influence is strong enough that she can persuade her friends to bully someone while her hands remain "clean" (In the voice drama, she claimed to have never 'bullied' someone physically herself.)
○ ⧗ She, in particular, has three close friends that do her bidding (1:54 of After Pain) and are represented by the other three bees in this MV in both (0:32) and (1:30).
⧖ ⧗ ⧖ ⧗ *After Pain* ⧖ ⧗ ⧖ ⧗
⧗ ○ Now in comes the whole plot of After Pain after that scene.
⧗ ⧖ ⧗ ⧖ *It’s Not My Fault* ⧗ ⧖ ⧗ ⧖
⧖ ● Now I don't believe the scene in (1:54) to be proof of Muu's character, in extension to the whole murder itself.
I think...this is absolutely it. This makes PERFECT sense!!!! I'm taking this as canon until proven otherwise!
my insight is that the girls each had a gift for mu in 0:32 their queen. each brings a larval grub for her to feast on.
this is analogous to the gift-giving she participated in.
To be brief, this MV (albeit vaguely) confirms her trauma went along the lines of:
Her and her friends(?) bullied others-> friends(?) cast her out-> Mu becomes bullying victim-> a peer who witnessed her as a bully ignores her-> she lashes out.
MV1: "No one is on my side, I must be worthless and wrong"
MV2: "Look at all these supporters! This must mean I've done nothing wrong!"
I think this behavior could be co-depenence.
