I mean, being able to fly and shoot giant magic laser beams is cool and all, but having a specific spell to do each household chore for you would be top tier.
Imagine never having to do dishes, laundry, sweeping/mopping, cleaning the bathroom, etc, because you just cast a spell and it's done. That's some legendary stuff right there.

I’m sure we’ll see Sein again at some point (hopefully not as a soul when they reach heaven). Maybe they run into him before they reach Ende or on their way back, because I am convinced he’s going to be the one to officiate Stark and Fern’s wedding. Then he’ll be with them again as they go to view The Era Meteor Shower in the same spot that Frieren took her old friends for the last one, this time though instead of an ending it’s a beginning as Stark and Fern bring their child with them (aka my prediction for the end of the series).
This is such a sweet episode for a lot of reasons, and it has one of the best moments in the entire show (Sein's outburst of "Just start dating already!" - we were all thinking it), but something that always sticks out to me is when Frieren has her forehead pressed against Fern's to check for a fever. I know that's such a quick, minor thing, but the way it's animated feels so *intimate* and shows how deeply Frieren loves her sort-of-adopted daughter, even if she doesn't always know how to express it. Like, obviously that's not one of the big story beats in the episode, but it's a testament to the quality of the show that even a little thing like that can be imbued with so much emotional power.

Here's my take on how this series treats "legendary level spells": getting rid of mold and cleaning oil stains are hard for US, with modern cleaning supplies specifically designed to do those things. Magic is crazy powerful, but can you imagine how delicate and complex a spell would have to be to remove an oil stain from a shirt without also damaging the cloth? Or to destroy mold without damaging the surface in which the mold is growing? D&D and video games and such have taught us to think of magic in terms of raw power - especially D&D, with cantrips like Mending and Prestidigitation able to fix and clean basically anything - but really, in some ways it would be easier to cast something like Fireball or Lightning Bolt than it would be to cast Remove Mold, because you don't have to try to contain flashy attack spells. One of Fern's first lessons was that mana control is what most people have trouble with, so spells that perform complex tasks requiring a delicate touch really would be legendary.
I don't know if I explained that super well - it's been kind of a day and my brain is fried. But hopefully you get the idea. :)

The old lady told Sein where Gorilla Warrior was going next ten years ago. Sein's taking the second step of a journey of unknown length, not the last step. Following him would mean the rest of the group putting their plans on hold indefinitely.
Also this is just speculation on my part, but Sein has to leave to discover his friend is dead so he has someone to see in heaven like the rest of the group.

I love frieren progressing with the journey with more and more smile. we should do it also. smile.
I loved that timid Stark with all his rejection and abandonment issues teased Fern back with an ice-hand. It shows he's developing a certain comfort level with her that allows him to take risks. Sure he crumbled like simp as soon as she got angry, but fact is he's another step closer to making a bold move in their relationship we all want to see.
Not me waiting to see if Katy cooked up another colorful expression for cute self-aggression at the sight of Himmel 😅 Here's hoping we'll meet again Sein
They couldn't follow Sein to Tur to look for Gorilla. The reason they are going to the magical city at all is because one of them has be certified as a first-class mage so they can continue traveling North. If they had followed Sein, they would have had to go to Tur, turn around and go back to the crossroads, travel to get certified, and then double back and go all the way back to Tur to continue their journey.
As much as I like Sein, I really like how the series handles their relationship.
Sometimes goals of different people just don't align, but you're still happy that you at least shared a part of the path.
Sein leaving was sad but was great for character growth for all. I hope he comes back soon! Thanks for reacting!
Someone once said that when Himmel held her hand, Frieren looked like she was in labour and I cant unsee it whenever I see this episode.
She definitely seems like the kind of person who would be like "Oh yeah, Himmel and I had children along the journey. It's no big deal." 😆
