Load / create your soundfont kit, and before your save it go to the options tab of direct wave. Under the "Bank" section, change "Monolithic mode" to ON. Then go and save as a new preset and by that you should be able to reuse and load the sample
Is there a way to click on a specific keyboard key and assign it a wav file, and have that wav file sound EXACTLY like it does outside of the editor? I recorded each note on my electric guitar and saved them as separate wav files (c1.wav, f#2.wav,etc) but when I import it into directwave the sounds are changed. I don't want to add any special effects, just want to pair each wav file to a piano key.
So my trouble is with the folders in the browse menu. When I had FL Studio 11 I had all those folders that appear from Amped to World. Now that I have 20, they are all missing, not even locatable in the directory to see if they were placed elsewhere, and most of my music files use those programs in abundance which means they are all useless now. How do I get that library back? I believe I originally downloaded them but no longer can figure out how I did.
Did not know you could change the root of a sample with a single right click, that's nice :) EDIT: I didn't know what bounce was for until I heard it on the kick there, bouncy.
Thank you for such an informative video! But I have a problem. After the instrument is recorded to the directwave, during its playback, an echo / delay of one of the notes in the pattern appears. Is it possible to get rid of this?
I Want to use Dr Dre's package in this DirectWave [making hip hop beats] using my AKAI MPK Mini 3. There is alot to it while getting started but im determined to figure it out.....
Boas Tiago! Is there any benefit to loading IL instruments and samples onto DW or can I just use my own sources? Just wondering if there is anything I'm missing, like a functionality...
im probably not answering your question properly, but I think there's not much point to creating directwave instruments of native fl studio synths and plugins. where i use directwave is when i have a lot of CPU heavy synths, like serum, omnisphere, then creating a directwave instrument from one of those can really make a big difference in how well my computer can handle playback.
I need your help. When I´m sampling an instrument by pressing "create a Direct Wave Instrument" the sample instrument becomes much quieter than the original ... Do you know this problem?
Hey I noticed this as well, I'm still learning DW but I found that my velocity was varying because I changed it for other plugins that used velocity and then copy/pasted it to something like serum with velocity turned off, so when I copied the notes to the direct wave instance it would react to the velocity info also I think when the sound is rendered it considers that 100% and, by default, FL's piano roll velocity is 75% so crank it up to 100% and it might sound the same!
how do I open soundfont in directwave? people said said that soundfont doesn't have a 64bit version but you can use it in directwave, so my question is how do I open it?
I thought you said you're going to tell us where to get free Directwave instruments from Image-Line? Did you only say that so that we would watch the whole video? If so, not cool.
Reason I came to watch this was to figure out where to get the default samples and instruments...This video did not help me because his Library of samples was just...there. He didn't bring it up or show you how to, it was just, there. I'm under home right now and there is nothing there. Could someone help me? Edit: All it says under home is the data folder. When I open it, It goes into envelopes, LFO, Maps, and Samples. Each of those folders are empty.
Hi there. This video was not intended to show how to get the sample libraries but to give a introduction to DirectWave. You can also download the sample libraries using the ILDownloadManager app under C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\Downloader. There you will be able to download all the free stuff that Image-Line provides and it will be installed directly into DirectWave. Hope it helps and thanks for the feedback :)
I have a question: when I transform a vst other than the FL STUDIO into.dwp for example some kontakt library, its timbre gets short support etc... I mean, it doesn't look the same as the original. Is there any way to solve this?
Hi, I answer your question in the last live stream. Here is the short clip of it ua-cam.com/video/na0ViKV9Eyc/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DailyBeats Hope it helps :)
5:57 interesting. That's the electric guitar used in the original Super Smash Bros. for N64
Good Crash Course! Perfect balance between depth of content and length of tutorial. Thank you!
When I make my own kit, how do I save it so I don't have to manually create it again in another project?

Thanks for this. I'd like the free presets. Please Direct me to where I can get them. I can't find them on the site.

Greatly explained! thanks very much for it !!
You are very welcome 😊
Крутая заставка, бро!
Does DirectWave automatically create loop points for tonal samples?
Thanks, dude!
Olá... nao consegui achar os packs do directwave que voce mostrou no video(nem no forum da image-line), como tu encontrou eles?
Não e pack não ! E plugins
Is there a 'batch' import capability? Import an entire folder and each sample is assigned to single key?

After you create the instrument, you might have to go through the individual samples and normalize them. It's happened to me.

How do you add samples to DW without the sample being tuned to the key its placed on?
EXACTLY my problem
late reply but from what i found, when youre converting a instrument into a directwave instrument: in the sampling options put keys per zone to 1
