Good Video! I've used The Fence Clip for about 5 years and find it to be very well made and quick to setup and take down. I like the addition of the magic arm. Some chain link fences aren't created equally.
Like the external power bank idea. Do you know how to use GoPro or DJI to live stream game so parents or grandparents at home can watch the game live? Like stream to UA-cam and you can send the UA-cam link to people to watch the game? Thank you.
Hi, so over the summer, I found that using anything over 1080p would overheat the GoPro and it would shut down. So a few times, I missed a lot of the game when I didn't realize it had shut down on me. Going forward, I will use 1080p and 30 fps. If you want to use slow mo later when you edit, you can do 1080p and 60fps or 120fps. Any higher resolution like 4k, will over heat the GoPro and it will shut off on you.
Thanks for the video very helpful! Side note. When I listen in my truck or on my computer speakers your vehicle engine activates the subs so it’s a big rumbler. Just a heads up!
I would second Josh's comment on the LynkSpyder. Have been using ours for 2 years without issues. Yes, I get the chain link in the shot some of the time, but that is due to the way I have my goPro mounted to the Spyder, and the battery that I mount underneath it.
hello! I have a GoPro 10... I stream my son's baseball games but the battery only lasts 1 hour 😭 How can I make the camera record live and charge at the same time?
Hey, thanks for watching my videos! GoPro is real simple. All you have to do is take out the internal battery and plug in an external battery into the USB-C port of the GoPro. Then the GoPro will run completely off the external battery and you can live stream for a few hours or as long as you have a good internet connection. Let me know if you have any other questions. Love helping out my fellow sports parents!
Hey, so I use Adobe Premier Pro to edit all my videos. I used to be a professional photographer and I used Photoshop a lot. So it was only natural that I started using Adobe for video, as well. I found a free software on Window called Clip Champ which would totally be fine for editing baseball clips. I let my camera run for the whole game. I used a 256GB memory card and that's more than plenty for all the footage. I take a "set it and forget it" approach to recording. Haha. If you're more diligent, then you can start/stop only when your kid is batting/pitching/in the field, etc... I will actually be making a follow up video to this because my set up has changed a little bit.
I use DaVinci Resolve. Easy to use and free. If your posting to social media to promote your player, good short clips are best. Cut to the meat and potatoes.
I did try to live stream once with my Hero 10 using the GoPro Quik app on my iPhone. It didn't work so well. Not sure if it was the cell phone signal or not. Not only that, the GoPro overheated and shut off many times this summer. I just got the new DJI Osmo Action 3 and the tests that I've seen people do on UA-cam, it does not overheat. The battery runs out before it will overheat. Whereas the Hero 10 would overheat after maybe 20 minutes.
Don't stream higher than 1080p and get a separate wifi spot. I found using the phone not as reliable. I have steamed in the summer in Arizona and was successful, but when it reached 115 degrees not so much.
@@NowhereForMeToSit How do you like the DJI Action 3? does it have different focal lengths like the GoPro? I have been considering the DJI Action 3. I have a drone and really like their cameras.
The 3rd party case isn't required. There's a few things wrong with the design of the GoPro which I am going to make a video to address the issues and why you would need/want a protective case.
Hey! What settings do you recommend on GoPro11 when recording a continuous 1hr 45min game? Right now it’s on 4K 60F.. I haven’t tried it, but I’m afraid it might over heat. I’m using an external power source too.
Word. I actually have a genuine Lynk Spyder now and it is definitely a high quality product. However, I still use my clamp set up. I switch to DJI and don't use GoPro anymore. Too many issues with overheating and other battery issues. I'm working on a follow up video with my new setup.
Sorry to criticize this video but the background music is ridiculously too loud. It's difficult to make out everything you are saying. Also, in the beginning of the video, you're shooting into the light behind you and it's very difficult to see what you are showing. I'm only mentioning this to help you make better videos.
Just wanted to say thanks man! Ordered a GoPro 13 and all the accessories SmallRig. Going to try it out at my boys game tomorrow
Glad I could be of service!
Right on time!!!! Just ordered the items. Really appreciate the time you took to make this video. Really helpful.

Great video! I’ve been using this set up now for a month, battery attachment was a key add-on. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Great stuff. Thanks for sharing your setup.
No problem 👍

Can you please share what settings on your GoPro you use to record the games. New to all of this. thank you

Good video. But how do you download the full video to a laptop? I’ve looked everywhere. I get 3 min clips only
The black circular mount that holds the camera to the spyderlink. Need that, where to buy?
The tripod mount? Try this: amzn.to/3nMmid5

how long does the backup battery last minute last 2 or 3 games?
What software do you use to edit later? Is it better to take a lot of clips or let it run for 2 hours

I want to be able to create a highlight of each game, so I didn’t know if clips would be better than a long video.

Do you guys livestream? Tried to recently and my hero 10 times out about every 8 minutes. Any suggestions?

@@NowhereForMeToSit yeah only had the gopro10 for a few weeks and have not been happy with it. Seems to come up short in most aspects.

Check out Jason Hoffman on UA-cam. Great content. @JasonHoffmanYT www.youtube.com/@JasonHoffmanYT
Do you guys record in 1030p but how many frames?
I record 4K 60fps on my DJI Action 4.
Where did u get the diagonal fence clip mount? Thanks!
Hi, you can find the fence clip here: www.thefenceclip.com/
FYI, I am not affiliated with them at all. Thank you.

Jason I have the Go Pro 9 and recorded in 4k, I was nervous for over heating but been having no issue. Also I’m using the external battery method too
I’m thinking about trying the DJI action 3 for that same reason.
Appreciate the video but the music makes it difficult to hear
I appreciate the videos, but you need to buy the real stuff. Of course, a fake china made "Lynk Spyder" is going to be bad. Come on, buddy.
