GameChanger is everything you need wrapped into a single app that everyone on the team including fans and family members can access any content at anytime (with paid subscription). In order for SidelineHD to be fully functional, you need different apps to sync together. This is a nuisance for many families, especially ones that are not tech savvy nor willing to needlessly download many apps or go to different sites to stream game.
Really glad it works for you. And I know since I recorded this video their system has changed. I’ll get to do a follow up in a month or so. Thanks for the comment.
I love it game changer has it all in one if I can afford one ticket to mlb game then I can afford to invest in watching my kids play all year round when I can’t make it to a 3 pm high school game. This is priceless not to mention the stats of his pitching. Sometimes I can’t physically watch the game I can here someone call the game play by play. I’m willing to pay
And GC has come a long way since the making of this video. Most of the folks who watch my baseball streams can’t make the game either. Its great to be able to connect people like that.
No puedo actualizar el firmware mevo por ethernet. También dejó de funcionar el punto de acceso mevo. No funciona buscar la mevo por ip. ¿Qué puedo hacer?
Open a help ticket at help.mevo.com If you are running Ethernet will Access Point be something that is allowed? I thought AP forced you to use Mevo Hotspot (the control device’s cell data).
Most teams use game changer already, so I'd say most new streamers will prefer it. We use to use game changer just for the scoring and stream to Facebook, this year we are doing it all on gc.
Jason - I’m probably moving to GC for streaming - encountering major issues with Facebook Live and copyright issues with music. In ballparks, everyone is playing walk up music and it’s flagging my videos. Do you know if this is an issue with GC?
Hey Jason. I have just recently bought the Mevo Plus and I can’t figure out how I keep the zoom on when streaming a baseball game. I pinch my fingers to where I want it then in about 5 seconds it returns to the normal screen. Is what I’m trying to do not available or am I doing something wrong. Thanks in advance.
I’ll do a full setup video next month, but I’m running 3 Starts thru Multicam. Rode VideoMicro on the center cam. One of the parents has a PocketRadar that feeds into the stream. If I do play-by-play I run my HollyLand Lark 150 into one of the cameras. My Verizon Mifi carries the connectivity but I also use a tplink router to handle the local traffic.
You should really update this video. I was pretty confused by my GC options based on your comments, but I found that GameChanger does not require a sub for the live stream anymore. Love your other vids though!
I won’t get a chance to test GC again until spring. I only stream high school ball and don’t have a team to try it on late February. But if their subscription requirements for parents and the destination choices have changed then it will be a premiere option.
@@JasonHoffmanYT I want to say you can watch it live for free now but if you want the clips for a player or stats is subscription. I could be wrong. The AI break down of the videos for each player is amazing. I love your content and I am finding all of it great.
Well Diamond Kinetic just bought them so there’s that $$ for the creators. But ongoing, there will be pay features; the basic stream (UA-cam destination) and scoreboard remaining free. However, there is no plan to charge the team, charge the parents AND put ads in your baseball game.
Hi Jason, love your station. I’ve used GC this past season for baseball streaming. Started using GC and mainly use it to keep stats for the team and then functionality of the scoreboard overlay working with the video stream was a plus since I’m doing the scoring already. I do believe through that live video stream can be watched for free even without the added subscription. Whoever is streaming it can allow for everyone to watch or only “fans” of the team. One downside is that after the live stream ends only the paid subscription can watch archived games. That or only the coaching staff listed in GC. I was planning to stream on GC and save to my microSD and upload to UA-cam. Downside of that is the scoreboard overlay doesn’t transfer over to the microSD or I haven’t figured it out. Anyway I haven’t looked into sidelineHd and if iScore works well integrating with Sideline HD where it does the same things as GC then maybe that might be the better option. Looking for mainly the stats first and then video scoreboard integration. What do you think of those two?
Thanks, Eric, for the compliment! GC is definitely the better choice for stats. Your info about GC streaming is what my research showed as well. SLHD works well with iScore (used it last year) but they have since unveiled SideLineScore. I’ll be trying it this year.
@@JasonHoffmanYT I use sidelinescore to score our streams , the team still uses GC. I just have to score it for the stream It basic and fairly easy. I’ve never scored before. You could technically score both @ same time by one person if using iPad/tablet with split screen. Just score sideline first for clips then Do GC scoring. I didn’t see a reason to make them switch to iScore Our team mom/scorekeeper even said that too bad GC couldnt allow access to their score system overlay for small fee ( they could but doubtful).
@@johneldredge199 This is where we are as well. I don’t want the responsibility of scoring the game for anything but the stream. I used iScore last year but will be switching to SideLineScore this season.
@@JasonHoffmanYT I agree, I let someone else take responsibility for the stat scoring system. The only thing is I wish there an edit button on the clips titles so if made a mistake scoring I could fix the title of clips or even add some additional details to it. For ex: Sometimes Ive scored a walk when they actually hit the ball because I missed the contact, and saw the batter on base. Since there was 3 balls I assumed it was a walk.
Do you guys know if I use sidelinescore and stream to YT or FB does the video save to YT or FB with the overlay? Also if I save to the microSD at the same time does the game save with the scoreboard overlay as well? Thanks!
I know this comment is late but GC started running ads. Running ADVERTISEMENTS on YOUR stream. Is that copyright infringement? Sound like GC owes world some money.
@@JasonHoffmanYT we are a travel organization and I would like to try Sideline. I do have a UA-cam page for my daughter that I just upload videos to. Right now it’s private and to be able to live stream you have to have a decent following if I’m not mistaken?

Gamechanger is the way to go. Upgrading all the time.
They are THE stat keeping service, have been for a long time.
How do I get Sideline HD for basketball? I only see it for baseball on their site.
They have not added basketball yet.
Game changer is just fine..
Can you stream to GameChanger and to Facebook at the same time? Do you know? I realize the stream wouldn’t have the overlay just a normal stream?
So I’m guessing using Restream or Castr would accomplish this though I’ve not tested it myself.
@@sherwoodwarriorsbaseball BRILLIANT! Thank you for testing this, as it will be valuable info for a lot of people!

Thanks Lee, I get excited this time of year to get baseball info out!
Has anything changed over the last year. Is there another video showing our mevo cameras while using gamechanger
Yes! I released another this spring: ua-cam.com/video/GG2EKemHeek/v-deo.html I dont have footage of it using GC, but there are several on YT.

This is the one benefit to streaming to a third party destination. I’m streaming to YT and not having issues as the channel is not monetized.

It’s a feature called auto director. Can be found by choosing the icon at lower left of the screen.

Yes, they've made changes since this video was made. Thanks for the comment
Thanks for the review Jason...I'm sticking with iScore
Good choice!
GameChanger auto cutting clips for players is too good to not use.
The highlight clips on both services are what has developed a loyal following on both. Parents especially love it!
