Well that's a massive fucking drag. Classic is beer and pretzels raiding. Every time they crank up the difficulty the population tanks. Classic is not retail and the raid should not be anything more difficult than AQ or Nax.
It's a level 50 leveling raid. It should not be anymore difficult than Wailing Caverns lol. Difficult raids will be the end of SOD. wait and see.

As someone who raided from first lockout on gnomer and done every single lockout full clear with pugs it sucks that this will be a pug killer.

Quit a guild yesterday over the elite crap. Even the "casual friendly" guilds are getting ridiculous with gate keeping.

@fil2662 classic has never been about hard content. Only thing u get by increasing the diff is dead servers. This is coming from an orange parser (Zhanks if in doubt). Ezer game is better for everyone, 2019 classic proved it and ulduar as well in the opposite direction

Looks like a fun raid, can’t wait to get in there. Hopefully the raid can still be a fun little challenge, but any iteration of “classic WoW” should not be top tier challenging content. We have every other game version for that. I think most people play this game to kick back, have some drinks and have fun with the boys type of thing. We had hard content in pre nerf tbc raids, and heroic wrath raids/ulduar hard modes, with that being even more so in cata onward. So far, p3 feels pretty solid
As with any dungeon/raid content, it gets easier and easier the more gear the raid collects. Shortly after it becomes a push-over. There's nothing wrong with requiring everyone to put in some time getting their feet wet with the first few bosses, slowly getting stronger and then coming back next week to challenge the next set. Progression is a GOOD thing.

I honestly think Blizzard is doing their best to serve both crowds playing SOD. Of course the raid is tuned to be almost unbeatable out the gate. The only people doing the raid 3 hours after launch are the super sweaty chads, so why not give them a challenge. Knowing that they are going to tune it down once the casual player base reaches max level and are ready to start raiding. In some ways I think it’s kinda smart.
that would mean that all broken abilities, bugs, and exploits they allowed were done on purpose...to be able to even be spoken in the same regard as overturning. I like you bro, you lie alot.

Also, these raids have normal, heroic, mythic, even biblical/genesis difficulty.
Gnomer i found brought out the worst in some people and this raid is probably going to be more of the same. I think il hold of judgment for a week or 2, but this maybe where I get off the SOD train.
Gatekeeping was rampant for Gnomer and it wasn't even that hard, imagina what's going to happen with ST being this hard.
BFD had so much fun, but making raids too hard would just make getting into pugs harder.

Eating popcorn and drinkig beer and looking at range classes do the work. I have no idea was thinking the same. I would guess melee job to work on the portals.
You can max range slime boss with autos and not get eaten
What melee? You need to be ranged and above 2000GS and also have orange parses to join content in this version of the game.

Staying away from ST just like I stayed away from Gnomer. I hated both in vanilla and classic. So far, I just level and pvp or log till next phase, which is what I might now after leveling 2 more characters.

I don't know why they didn't learn from Viscidus and decided to make another boss encounter that practically requires you to have poison cleansing totem again. Like what is their problem that they feel like it's necessary to punish Alliance players?

Deliver the content overtuned is really cool for the world first content… sure… majority will prob not clear this first week.
@nethus94 are you serious half the raiders in my guild (90raiders total) will be 50 and in the raid before this first reset. How is it fair to us? We are by far no hardcore guild by the way. To experience a shitty overtuned raid because blizzard didn't want it killed In 1 hour...then lock it for a week. Again total L BY LIZZARD

They weren't sure how much runes would impact damage output so they overtuned it. It's easier to nerf than Buff content.

so they split up Morphaz and Hazzas into 2 boss fights? they used to be together, just like the other 2 dragons.

It only takes around 7 or 8 hours. And that was dicking around and doing raid and AFKing. Incursions are insane XP per hour
On top of that all the sweaty jobless players cashed out on gold from incursions and blizzard nerfed it before any sane person even logged into the game
These people don't have jobs and don't go to school...
Everyone needs to relax it will get nerfed to the ground. They did it for the first week to make it a challenge for the sweat lords and I’m really enjoying the prog

I think they'll release the real tuning for the raid Tuesday. I think this was a great RWF idea for SOD to make it overtuned for the first weekend while most people level.

it would be good if we had 3d lockouts but with only 8 lockouts untill phase 4 ( thanks to the 7d lockout) , sacrificing 1-2 lockouts is basically losing 25% of the Loot drops you'll have the chance to get in this phase.
I think this would be okay for gnome and bfd as they had 3d lockouts, but it's definetly a mistake for a 7d lockout raid in seasonal server that phases last barely 2months.

I would love this to be true. Surely Blizzard has an NPC out in the open world that you were meant to talk to, to complete a mission for this very purpose.
No bis, no max pre bis, 37 mages, no new runes, no class diversity, alot of buffs missing, bottom of the barrel trash went in. So maybe it's tuned for that in mind

@@oXoInterventionoXo just because u can speed are farm a bunch of mobs efficiently doesn't mean stacking 37 of them is going to give you the same result in single target raid encounters, theres alot missing here to form synergy which later will tame this place more

As a casual player, being a family man, P1 = great! very accessible and fun. P2 = Still fun, but hard to keep up and getting into gnome was difficult. P3 = Whats the point? How will a casual player even be able to do this? P4+?? speculating it will be impossible do anything fun. RIP.

The comments saying that it’s not overturned because they rushed to 50 are being dumb. This guild is in full gnomer gear which is already close to bis not to mention they prob snagged a few upgrades while leveling. They are also all mythic raiders who are the epitome of sweaty. In the current state the vast majority of guilds will never clear this. I think the mechanics look great but the dps checks are insane for the majority of the player base talking 95 percent of guilds.
No, they're being reasonable. All these speed runners don't have all the runes that they were meant to collect on the way up(because well, they rushed). What's with the hurry to one-shot everything on day one? Kill the bosses you can, get the loot, come back next week stronger. What missions did Blizzard make available in the open world which were meant to help against these bosses? Let me guess, they were skipped or ignored.
@@d0k0night 3 of the bosses have over 4 million hp. That’s 4 times ragnaros. It is roughly the same as grul in bc and patchwork in nax. It’s overturned for 99 percent of the games population. If they didn’t need it (they already have) it would be unclearable for over 90 percent of guilds and all pugs. I don’t think it’s a bad choice that they made it harder for the first day or two for the world first folks but saying it shouldn’t be needed is idiotic.

People want the classic experiance, you know what yhat was? Raids that took more than a day into release to full clear because there was no info on them like you can obtain now. Instead everyone cries because you cant get all your bis gear day 1 and quit the game. Who cares, its hard because we are missing gear and runes, in a few lockouts itll be trivial like everything else in classic. Let there be a little challenge for 2 weeks it wont kill you

You keep referring to ragnaros health as a marker but we were doing prebis 60 dps that most people do on ragnaros while we were levelling in SM. In fact fury warriors didn't even exist on OG rag because we still had original bloodthirst until BWL release so we were doing far more dps on sod herod than people did on original rag.
Update on this - people now do twice as much damage on eranikus as they did on the world first illidan kill, a 25man boss with 6 million health. Rag was never a marker, and the boss didn't have too much health. You were not prepared.
Rag was also a 40 man raid
@@andrewa6607 SM wasnt. People are doing 800 dps on day 1 in their gnomer gear with no runes and shitty comps that can't even give wf to their melee. In two weeks people will be doing literally five times the damage people did on rag and getting blue parses for it. Like they brought a shitty comp, shitty gear, no runes, and an entire raid of people who don't know the fights yet, how well do you think they should do?

I don't mean to sound mean. But, I personally think the gear from a raid should be what is needed to fully clear that raid. Walking in with pre-raid and plowing through with little to no issues doesn't sound engaging when we get the new gear.
Also, hunters have nature resist aura for Ally.

@undacuvabrotha bfd was amazing for getting into pugs but gnomer was really difficult unless you had logs and were a desirable class. I tried several times and didn't get I to a single gnomer group, I even tried lying about having 6/6 exp. Back in p1 I had 3 accounts raiding bfd

I stopped having interest in sod after i saw yesterday that one of the best guilds with season 2 bis gear fought for 5 minutes to get Eranikus to 60 %... dude wtf. Those blizzard developers are such idiots. They think putting anything from retail in classic makes a good game. If you want hard and long bosses play retail. Classic is for fun, for the dads with kids which do not have much time left, for people like me who just found many other hobbys but love to play wow sometimes. The whole game feels like retail. But the worst part is, that 5 man dungeons are boring as fu ck, cause they are not tuned for the new gear and the new skills. And playing some chill 5 man was the best in classic. How will phase 6 be? 5 man are useless after 60, cause the gear is worse than the st raid gear? Smmit is sod bad.
Join SoD because its a classic+ that needs less time to get geared, ppl complain about gnome having too much trash, what do they do? mob density and hp by the thousand percent... Gnome isnt hard the moment you know what to do, it just takes so... f... long to clear it. Same with this one.

It just got nerfed hard, something like 40% of the Hp has been nerfed and damage done by the bosses/mobs by 15%

@@dmasiodnmiod it's fun if it's hard because you chose it to be hard. But having it be hard with a pug is just a pain. Doing a challenge as a guild, going 15man or reducing the healers / using less tanks is fun, as long as you can just change it back to normal after it gets frustrating

The average classic player is mediocre at best, and won’t be able to get more than 4 bosses for the next few weeks.
These bosses shouldn’t be lasting longer than HLK did in the classic release.
But the difference with heroic lich king is - you got TIME to farm the heroic-tier gear. You had to face HLK appropriately geared or you're not cutting it. Shouldn't be any different for this.
