as far as ny experience goes all the trout fishing i have ever done was in the mountains
Cal, I have been watching your videos (learning a lot thanks) I have a few questions for you: I am fishing from my inflatable boat (I need a lot of balancing stability) and that’s a inflatable boat; I need guidance on fish finders and mounting them I am using a Garmin Striker Cast with GPS, it’s working ok, so what are you guys using, why?, and ease of use on the water, on a second look thinking of setting up trolling with a lead core setup, can you help guide me on to setting up my rig.

Hi Bill...We are using a Garmin on the big boat, Hummingbirds on the skiff and kayaks...For leadcore you need a reel capable of holding 3 colors of 15 lb leadcore, some 20 lb braid backing and a 25-50 foot 15 lb mono topshot. That transitions to your fluorocarbon leader. We sell the rods, reels and rigged combos ready to fish if you are interested....
I want to finish that lake in a while why weren't you running a flasher or dodger
The fish were active…. I didn’t need an attractor….. sometimes you need attractors but you don’t want to over use them…. At least 70% of my trout come on naked lures…

Went to French Meadows on Tuesday. You were right about the wind. Came up about noon. Was able to boat four beautiful rainbows before that with numerous missed strikes. One of your mini dodgers and night crawler plus orange metal head fly did the trick. Twenty five feet on the downrigger for the worm and four colors of lead core on the fly.
That’s great…. I’m going to hit it myself before the 4th….
