Little ryobi blower works great to blow the camper off before you open it. Sikaflex 221 to fill the gaps between the rubber you installed should help. 💪🏼
What an epic spot you had lunch at!
Tundra is looking 👌
We love that whole area! There will be eight of us doing the whole Arizona Strip- Grand Canyon Parashant in our Army Green TRD Pro 4Runners in 6 weeks. Great Video👍
Nice! That’ll be fun.
Where is this located
@@pursuittt4290 this is the North Rim of the Grand Canyon
@@RevereOverland love the drive to White Pocket😊
Thank you for not using cringey music! It felt like a David Attenborough documentary... "here we see a wild Rob in its natural 'habitat'.."
Your videos are becoming world class! You do great content! Welcome to the Habitat family.
Thanks!
My family and I really enjoy your content. Especially ones that have families and personal interactions
Rob, your videos are amazing (as always). Thanks for the shout out, and we hope to do some PNW trips with you soon. Cheers!
I’m going to play that epic opening music everywhere I go…on the trail or walking the trash to the street… doesn’t matter! That habitat is sweeet though!
It’s your theme tune!
@@RevereOverlandYES!!
I just had the same trip, spot for spot identical. Some of the greatest camping I’ve ever done. Great video.
I was getting a ton of dust in my Flippac, I took some low density foam and spray adhesive and went around the tailgate as well as shell hatch and seem to work pretty well.
Saw your video as well. Now I want to do this!
Great drone footage as always.
More beautiful footage
Amazing. Your drone shots with the music you keep choosing are epic. Very moving. Excellent work. Keep them coming.
Good to see another Tundra with a Habitat, i have not seen another until yours. I got one fitted to my Tundra in 2021 and so far it’s ticked all the boxes for overland travel. Being a minimalistic traveler especially from my adventure bike trips the Tundra with a Habitat is a great combination for an overland vehicle set up. Great video 👍
They're awesome!
Nice, congrats Rob! Looks like we’re both on the truck bed camper kick 🤙
It's the way to go with a full size truck!
Epic drone footage!!
White pocket is amazing, we went there last year on a massive trip through Utah in part due to your videos. That road you left white pocket on can get pretty gnarly lol. Especially with a friend who has a new sprinter van that isn't quite built out yet... One of the really long ones.
It can be! I stopped several cars from trying to drive out there
Loved the drone footage - nice video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
solid. loved this one. drone work was great as usual.
Ran into at the Cracker Barrel parking lot in flagstaff😂. I had the Black Series hooked up to the Uhaul truck. I’d smoked the wheel bearing in my rig the night before. Cheers!
Hopefully you got it all fixed up before that snowstorm hit!
Tundra build is looking good. Soooo jealous you was a WP. The family and I have been itching to go back, Hopefully this spring.
It’s a beautiful spot that I keep going back to
Thank you , we like your upgrades to the Tundra.
This area has been on my bucket list. Now I am going this Spring! Thanks.
Enjoy!
Great video and drone shots! So cool to see your adventures and all the drone shots!
Looks great Rob
Thanks!
You create some outstanding drone video!
Excellent video. Love the Tundra setup!
Habitat is awesome, one day we'll be in one. 😎👍🏻
Wonderful job as always! Thank you!
Keep up the good work, thanks for your content…have fun!
Great stuff as always!
Thank you!
Geesh, I really love your videos. You so inspire me. I live in the northeast, and all attempts to get out west have had to be aborted.
Thanks so much!
The Tundra looks amazing. Will you get child out with you this spring?
❤️❤️
Yes, we’re taking a trip with him in April that we’ll film! He did come out with us in February, but we didn’t film anything with him.
To keep dust out, use a fan to over pressure you cap. Ovrlnd campers offers one on theirs
Nice Views! I was going to go AT, but that paint match cost and a couple of other things made me a little shy. They do have great videos out on their products, and I'm sure they are worth every penny.
The options definitely add up fast!
Beautiful video, some of our favorite locations .. I'm surprised you didn't go into the Steen's ...
Steen's?
Congrats on the new AT Habitat! With all the interior room when opened up those things look amazing.
So much room for activities!
Sweet set up Rob! Should have much more room when traveling with the family.
That’s the plan!
One of the best places I've ever camped....completely alone right on the edge. That whole area...especially White Pocket must be seen to be believed. Can't be that close without hitting up Buckskin Gulch. Something tells me you did, lol. Great video!
I haven’t, but really should
As always Rob, great video. The AT Habitat looks great on the Tundra!
I think the real solution to dust is creating positive pressure inside the camper. I know you're the handy sort. You might think up some filtered vents or a fan at the front, in a location protected from driven rain.
That's what I'm thinking about. A 12v fan that runs while the truck is running wouldn't be too hard.
That Tundy is looking sick!!! I felt the excitement for you as they were installing it. I remember when I got my Topo Toppers Badlander installed on my Taco, it was such a great day. What heater are you running in it? Don't you live back east, or the midwest?
Nice! I have the Truma heater. Currently in Kentucky.
hi there!Beautiful trip. Is that beautiful overlook of Marble Canyon where you first wanted to set up the camp was near Weather Station and Transmitter? We would love to stop there when we are on the Page , Arizona
THIS IS AWESOME Rob,And i LOVE that tent set up !!! ID ALSO LOVE to get one on my TACOMA ...🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
They’re pretty sweet and make them for the Tacoma!
@@RevereOverland thanks again !!!!! Your Vids are GREAT by the way !!!!
Maybe some way to create positive pressure in the bed while driving to keep the dust out?
I’m tempted. Maybe a 12v fan through a filter that I can leave running.
Did I spy a Giant Loop Armadillo fuel bag on one of the drone shots? Guessing you grabbed it while you were in Bend. Been using them for years now and love the flexibility. What did you think?
I actually got two while I was at Overland Expo PNW last July then bought a third one while I was in Bend for this trip! They're fantastic, and unlike jerry cans and Rotopax, they don't leak or need mounting anywhere.
Hi Rob. Very impressed with the tent. I have a full size f150 and I have a Prinsu rack too. What did you do to plug the holes drilled in the cab when you trimmed the rack?
We used some kind of butyl sealant if I remember correctly
what's the name of that location in the opening? just INCREDIBLE!
Now that a roof top ⛺️
Way cool sleep solution. Did you buy the new Tundra with that unit in mind?
I knew this would be an option when I bought the Tundra, but wasn’t sure!
I wonder what fish species were in that monster gorge 1000’s of years ago ?
If you went too far back there wouldn’t be any fish. The canyon is only about 6 million years old!
Where is this? I live in AZ and want to check this place out in my rebel.
looks great! out of curiosity, what is the total vehicle height now? thinking about modeling my tundra build after yours
Just under 8 feet. It juuuust fits in my garage with the 8 foot door.
Pretty sure we saw your truck in Carlsbad, Ca about a month ago.
That would have been us! We made a quick stop at LEGOLAND while filming the most recent trip video.
Loved the views and more importantly, how its shot.
I have a stupid question though, why did you choose an Aluminium finish Habitat? I feel same thing finished in black would have complemented the blue/black theme of the vehicle better.
The plan is to wrap it
@@RevereOverland nice :D
Amazing!! How many miles do ya have on the Tundra?!
Epic camp spot! This is why I avoid campgrounds!
ROB, ANY idea on how much extra weight that added to the Tundra ????
340 lbs
@@RevereOverland I Gotta say i fucking LOVE how the tundra looks NOW !!! 🤘🥰🤘
@@RevereOverland thank you !!!!
How did you like that grand canyon spot Rob? I was debating on whether posting that spot on and the route on onxoffroad because it's so good... but I did lol. Hopefully people keep it nice and clean.
It's a great spot and thanks for sharing it!
can you share a waypoint? thanks!
SO EPIC 👍
Rob,
I have been following along with you for a while now. Epic videos!
After watching your comprehensive footage, in Idaho, I am still perplexed. You are still rolling in your Toyota, but you were wheeling in your wife's Rubicon. Having watched you in both...What do you think and what do you prefer? Does the Rubicon flex better than the Toyota or are you still a fan of the Toyota?
For what it is worth, I listened to your wife's jeep groan while wheeling in Idaho. But how did it do in comparison to your friend's Toyotas?
In transparency...I own a Jeep Rubicon Extreme Recon 392. However, I am always looking to the folks who have been there and done that to render the final decision.
What say yee my mate?
Cheers,
Gary
They're two very different machines that have completely different strengths and weaknesses. The Jeep is incredible on difficult and technical obstacles, and the Toyota can't compare. The Tundra is far better for long distance trips on bumpy and rough roads. I'd also rather tow the Jeep across the country behind the Tundra than I would drive the Jeep itself!
For a trip like this, the Idaho BDR, or the Pacific Crest Overland Route I'd take the Tundra any day. For something like the technical trails we recently did in Kentucky I doubt the Tundra would have made it.
@@RevereOverland Thanks. I completely understand your point of view. I must say the Jeep does wander around on the road and is also tight and bumpy inside the cabin. I guess it really comes down to personal preference as to which features dominate your decision.
You have provided epic videos with your setup and for the record, I am not a died-in-the-wool Jeep fan. I just wanted a Hemi engine in an off-road rig...I never really grew up. I like the sound and the lifted set-up.
I so appreciate your beautiful videos. I am a pilot and a drone operator so I really appreciate the bird's eye view that you provide in your videos.
Thanks for the quick response.
Your Fan,
Gary
@@RevereOverland Thanks. I like the epic nature of your videos.
Your drone video really makes it a production! Beautiful.
Which setup you like the most? The habitat(current) or the previous one (RTT)
Love all your videos man, is awesome and by far the best looking Tundra so far
They both have their strengths and weaknesses. For just taking a trip as a couple, the RTT is simplest. For working out of the truck with the three of us, the Habitat is awesome.
60fps! Why aren't everyone doing it?
Nice, compact rooftop tent setup, but seriously, what would you do with 40 mph winds (quite common in the SW during the spring) ?
I’ve had it up in a storm with heavy rain and 40mph gusts and it handled it just fine other than the zippers needing covering to stop them rattling.
I've survived 50 mph winds in a Gazelle T4, but given the Habitat's exposed position, I'm surprised it could handle such forces. I guess being anchored to the truck helps more than I anticipated.
@@thomaslewis1268 it also has a lot of bracing across the top which I'm sure helps!
Thanks for the information! That was my big question about the Habit. I'm definitely confident about getting it. Lots of wind in our area. Lake Havasu, Arizona. Mohave Desert 😎👍🏻🙏
At the beginning, what tire pressure and max speed at that pressure(heat)?
I think I went down to around 16 psi. I’m not sure what a safe speed or distance is on pavement.
What is your habitat ratcheting device?
Just a DeWalt ratcheting clamp from Home Depot. I won’t be using it again, but I can see it being helpful if you’re struggling.
Ahhh…very nice. Not sure why but the thumb nail looks fake? Looking forward to the video. This and skinny guy campers are very interesting
I really struggled to choose between the Habitat and the Skinny Guy. I’m not 100% sure I made the right choice, but I’m happy with it!
They are awesome products. I put my 90lb dog and age (58), into the equation and decided on a trailer instead. Really do like these a lot
When are you guys just going to give in and move to the Southwest? You're here most of the time anyway😅😅
I wish!
are you still running 37in tires?
Yup. Those are 37s.
Where is this, Utah/Arizona?
Northern Arizona
Nice commercial.
Reginald, is that you?
I don't trust my fat ass hanging out over nothing with just a couple poles lol...... Bought a Project M in January :)
I was interested in their AT Atlas initially..
Lol! It can support up to 600lbs
@@RevereOverland thats awesome, Those things are so sweet!!
@@RevereOverland the only real downside is that you can not mount solar panels to the roof of it :( or mount maxxtrax or other gear to the roof ...
@@TheAngryCamper yeah. I think I'm going to go with a hood mounted panel, but they're a lot more expensive. You can actually put some gear on the roof, as long as it's ok upside down! The roof on mine is 7'6" up, so even folded out I won't be hitting my head!
