Visiting Russia my self many times, living next to them and part of them integrated within the country, I can say with with absolute certainty they are the flip coin side of Americans. It can be considered impolite. Like, you're either in or out but not something in between.

Jobs are no problem, in some sectors pay is on the high end. Living costs are relatively low if dont go to big cities.
