- This is from the final session for the Grammy-nominated CD, "All the King's Men." Ron Wood and his then wife, Jo, hosted us and a film crew for four days of sheer bliss, music and quite a lot of imbibing - some more than others. This song was written on the spot from a lick Scotty was fooling around with that Jeff picked up on. Ronnie wrote the lyrics in 20 minutes and we were on our way to having a great closing track. I have interspersed photos from the Blue Moon Boys archives with session shots. All photographs are used for promotional purposes only!
Love it!
Holy fucking cow! god bless Ronnie, Jeff, and Scotty. RIP, Scotty Moore. You're riding with the King again.
Thanks for posting. Just finished reading Scotty's book and read about this session
Scotty, Bill, and DJ were the grove and beat for the King of Rock Elvis Presley..
Love it.
This is fantastic music i do love it.
this is excelllent....so good...♥
Scotty's book is a great read, he mentions this session, and is proud of the fact that the song was nominated for a Grammy. So you were there? Lucky you! (Might have been another session, probably Paul McCartney, and he gets a bit snarky about all the extra people wandering around with clipboards!)
Damn this is cool, never heard it before. 😎
What a treat...
love this Stuff.............
ode to Bill Black. amazing tune
love it! hadn't heard that one b4 !
Hi Junkie161, the song is called "Unsung Heroes" and is on the CD "All the King's Men." Unfortunately, the only place you can find it is on eBay. I am glad you like it.
This cooks.
DAN - I esp like Ronnie's sketches toward the end! P

That’s one thing that I don’t understand about Elvis.
Scotty, Bill and DJ were an integral part of the Elvis sound and yet he didn’t give them the recognition or monetary compensation they deserved.
I continue to wonder why.
Man, where do you find these? Fantastic...
Pity they couldn't get Rod Stewart to sing! (Joking - but not joking!)
What is RON doing there? hahahahahaha
i love jeff beck but i think scotty moore deserved a better song and singer than a drunken ron wood /all that said it just shows EVERYBODY has thier idols, and i bet they were over the moon to be in a studio with them
this is a great tune
Wow, you were there? What was Wood drinking?
