Loving the cube videos. Amazing how the content keeps changing. It makes me happy to see you get into different archetypes I’ve already seen you play against and talk about.
great matches! thx for all the content over the past weeks, it has been a pleasure to watch it all. That Bowmasters vintage deck that was briefly on scree looked sick, btw. Would appreciate some Vintage content as well!
I mostly agree, but I do think it would noticeably impact the views. The most important part of a youtube video is the thumbnail. While many of us will watch his drafts no matter what, I bet there are alot more people that only watch some of his drafts. Having the best cards in the thumbnail is probobly a big part of what drafts they watch and what they don't. While it would be better for us, I want these videos to be as successful as possible so we keep getting them
I dunno, I've really been enjoying these drafts, but when I see bowmasters in the fifth thumbnail in a row I just don't watch it because I already know the draft will end up UBx and it's kind of boring for me... Part of the fun of drafting is now knowing where you'll end up. Maybe im just getting burned out tho
I feel like when you draft white creature decks you tend to end up with a huge pile of 3 drops. I didn't check AlphaFrog's cube list to confirm, but it feels like white has a strong 3 drop bias and could use cutting a couple for some 2's Just my 2 cents as a fellow cube aficionado
@@piercearora7681 yeah, that's a good point. Still, curve considerations matter. I don't even know how relevant this message is anymore. Feels like the cube changed a LOT when looking at recent videos. Or maybe not the cube but at least the meta
Happy to finally see Voice do a little work. Allways liked that card. The first "good" brew I made was an abzan token deck with lingering souls, skirsdag high priest, altars reap and Voice. Don't remember the rest but it had some nice synergies. This was when I just started playing but since then I have basically just drafted. I really like to watch these focused high stake cube drafts. Trust me! I love the memes but this way of drafting cube is a new world for me.
I'm not a Cube Pro by any means, but seeing GW going from joke to unfair makes me happy. LSV killing it with the Cube videos, looking forward to Cube Season in MODO to get destroyed :D
My brother and I have been working on a vintage jumpstart cube for awhile now, and the GW infinite life pack with heliod, walking ballista, spike feeder, CoCo, chord, etc actually has one of the better win rates. I think the spike feeder combos are actually pretty powerful.
I'm surprised no consideration on Oath of Nissa pack 3 pick 6 over Savannah when you already had Temple Garden It casts W&6 and helps find W&6 or strip/waste, plus is just a pretty good card
Invasion of Gobakhan and battle cards in general get a lot worse when your opponent is playing as many planeswalkers as Kenji is. Your creatures are going to be fairly taxed on their ability to deal with all the loyalty/defense counters.
I’m loving the vintage cube drafts. You’ve long been my favorite content creator and I’m really digging the new channel and regular content. Is there any chance of having vintage/legacy constructed content?
I believe part of his logic was that it would show Restoration Angel and let the opponent play around it. Long game and he forgot that Restoration Angel was already face up from Teferi.
In match2game2, I think the pivotal moment was around turn 5-6 when you were able to wasteland the shelldock, you could have then e-witnessed back the wasteland and hit the seachrome coast. Staxx had always just exactly enough mana to execute their plays that game, being down 1 land the whole time (and maybe down 2 lands for a turn) would have made it impossible.
47:30. I don't understand this premature concession. You have plenty of time to turn things around. There is nothing in your deck that he can get with Bribery that wrecks you there. You are at 24 life. Sure, he gets a bunch of life every turn from Sheoldred + Vial + Shredder, but he won't draw 2 spells every turn and he is only at 6 life after Bribery. You have mother and a bunch of other creatures. You can draw removal or stuff like Solitude (he won't get Solitude with Bribery there because you have mother). I do not think this situation is totally hopeless to snapconcede.
Bribery on Eternal Witness destroys LSV. Witness back bribery, bribery for resto on witness to get back bribery again, etc Also opponent will be at 8 because of phial, and gaining more life quickly if LSV doesn't instantly rip removal Meanwhile, by not conceding, he doesn't let opponent see his whole deck, which might mean opponent e.g. doesn't play around resto, or doesn't know about something that kenji didn't convey, in the next game. it makes sense to me.
@@zanewarner8372 first of all LSV snap concedes, doesnt calculate any lines. Second, Opp cannot cast Bribery again that turn, LSV can just draw a Flickerwisp, flicker Witness and it is a complete blowout for Opp.
This was a busted GW deck but I think you needed access to the spike feeder combo’s you passed. At least one of them. When you scooped to jar/bowmaster I couldn’t help but think you could’ve had feeder/Heliod or AoT. The bribery could’ve gotten you anyhow but it seems like you guys have assembled this cube for insane combos and when you skipped it twice after basically getting the feeder for free and calling your shot, I was worried you could get cheap shot’d
It's a 2 card combo in a deck without a lot of deck manipulation and tutors. He has one tutor for half of the combo but that's about it. As a result, the chance of drawing both (and having both live) is pretty low, and the downside of having spike feeder and archangel of thune in your deck is very real. That said, they would mean he had more lifegain and been less vulnerable to dying to burn, so maybe it was worth it. Hard to imagine what he'd cut though (besides Invasion, to me that's a very easy cut).
It’s true that the combo could have won games he lost. But when you take out efficient and powerful creatures for do nothings like Heliod and Spike Feeder, you risk losing games you would otherwise win because you can’t pressure your opponent. Those cards are also really bad at taking and defending initiative.
You passed a late Inspiring Vantage to take a sb Veil of Summer. Knowing you were on the W6 splash wouldn’t the land be better? What is the reason you don’t like the fast lands?
This cube has started to not feel like Vintage cube. Everyone’s deck is mono low drop tempo. Nobody’s trying the classic V Cube archetypes, almost feels like the big flashy stuff isn’t supported here. Nobody wants to go all in on Sneak/Breach, Twin, big artifact, Griselbrand stuff, Storm, etc? Just feels like a random midrange cube.
@@thomaskauffman250 He drafted Channel before. Eureka is just bad. Eureka has never been not bad, for close to 30 years now. It keeps showing up in cubes as a test of skill.

Got to say I adore your content and the pace it’s coming out with but with the chance to draft vintage everyday shouldn’t you try and be more adventurous with your builds. The team drafts are fun but when you know what other people will most likely be drafting it really hinders your choices and deck building after doing it everyday for weeks
I’m not saying this video is cause I haven’t watched it yet I just mean as an overall comment as I love these videos and it seems you’re not drafting blue today 😂 but everytime the same picks get prioritised for a similar deck It gets less interesting in a way
vintage cube isn't up on MTGO right now so the only option is team draft, and it would be pretty poor for his team if LSV went adventurous instead of just drafting to achieve the best performing deck, even if it isn't exciting or unusual. Plus I think we've seen a lot of variety so far!
He’s gone pretty all-in on Draw7 + Hullbreacher/Bowmaster twice. He’s done storm twice. He’s drafted lots of different colors. I actually think his range is wider than ever before; he’s blue probably less than 50%.
