      I know your not a tech support guy but your knowledge of the product seems endless. I have tried to get the answer to a problem from DJI and the Mavic Pilots forum with know success. Is there a place you can go to talk with other pilots thats easy to use? Recently the MPH indicator on the DJI go ap only works when the Mavic is ascending or descending. It shows 0 mph when flying horizontally. It must be a setting change somewhere but I can't locate it . Any help or ideas?

    I’ve been using the 150 size for my full-size DSLR for about 12 years or so. It’s PERFECT!! Great bag, intelligently designed (as you’d indicated, too!): and, would add, really SECURE for navigating crowded city streets, as you can just sling it in front of your chest, and know your stuff is safe! Very good, thoughtful review 😎🤜🏽🤛🏽

    I have the 150 slingshot and I am really liking it. What I like to do is actually keep my iPad mini installed in the controller and store it like that in the top compartment. It really makes it fast and easy to get my Mavic up in the air, my thinking here is the faster I get her up in the air the less attention I am drawing to myself. I am now contemplating getting the 250 as well just in case I want to bring more gear like a second Mavic or camera.

    Great review Rick. Very feature laden bag with a lot of versatility. I could definitely see this as an "around town" bag for the Mavic. I have two questions. In the photos that I have seen with the Mavic in the bag it looks like there is nothing in front of the Mavic to prevent it from shifting - am I right ? Second is I would be very leary of putting this in a overhead compartment on a plane. Curious as to your take on this as you have travelled with the Mavic in it ? Thank you Rick !

    I bought this bag and wanted so badly to like it, but the single strap was awful. No matter how I adjusted it, it never felt right. So I returned it and found the Lowepro 250 AW2. All the same features of yours but two straps for more security and comfort. I made a review of it on my channel. Let me know what you think.

    Nice presentation, nice case. The backpack is little large for my purposes. I love the small fold up design of the Mavic, try to use a the smallest case possible. Thank You!!! you truly do wonderful work!!!

    Great review. I liked the way you described the product. I looked up for videos like yours and this one covers all I wanted to know. Still hesitant whether getting the 250 or 150 because I do travel a lot and carry an additional backpack with my laptop, ipad and additional stuff. But for sure I will get either of those. Thanks.

    Thanks for another excellent and thorough product review, Rick! The 250-AW is a great bag. Very versatile. I have a Lowepro slingshot 102 and also a 202 for camera equipment and they are both fantastic as well. I have used the 202 for my Mavic with great success. All that being said, Do yourself a favor and check out the Lowepro Viewpoint BP-250 AW. After much consideration, I opted for this bag for my dedicated Mavic bag. It is the most versatile carrying system I have come across...ever. (I also opted to upgrade the insert pack to the Lowepro CS-80. You'll understand what that's about once you take a look at the bag) I'm curious to know if anyone else uses and is a fan of this pack for quads.

    Love mine. It came along with the Mavic I won from Drone World. I pack mine slightly different mainly being I put the Mavic in the top compartment. Saw this being reviewed by someone else and didn't even realize it had a rain cover in the bottom compartment. LOL.

    Another great vid, Rick. I went with the 150 instead because I needed it to fit in the saddlebag of my motorcycle. But I agree that the 150/250 are the best bags for the Mavic.

      Ian, that Slingshot Edge 150 is a great pack too, just a little smaller but perfect for a saddlebag. I was surprised at how this bag grew on me during the time I was using it. Thanks for the post, Rick

    • @ianw849
      @ianw849 7 років тому

      I actually wanted the 250 but the measurements on my saddlebag were just a little too short. But the 150 fits perfect for the harley street glide if anyone asks you in future comments. I can fit the entire flymore combo, a fourth battery, my Mavmount, as well as my mavicam holder in the bag perfectly. I even got the two small cases from you to hold the drone and the controller and they fit perfectly in the 150. I do have some room for some smaller accessories. Only thing I will need to think about is when I get a tablet in the near future, how I will carry that with me. Probably will need to carry it separately.

    I bought one of these for my Mavic. Whilst the camera compartment is a perfect size and shape for the drone, the second compartment at the top is a bit small for anything much which means I now have to have two bags. The long front pouch is a silly shape being flat, narrow and very deep it's easy to lose things in it. Personally I wish I'd bought a bigger bag so I could take my Mavic and some other stuff in one bag.

    Hi, older video but I have a question! Do you think this bag fits a mini 3 pro, DSLR, and 1 or 2 extra lenses, altogether in the lower compartment? Controller and drone batteries can be in the top compartment if need be, but I'd be curious if they fit in the bottom too.

    That looks like a good pack. Quick question, My Mavic lives in a couple of cases, so its all kept together, apart from the sunshade for the iPad and the mount that clips into the controller. Could I not put the two cases for the mavic in the top compartment along with the ipad and tablet mount/sunshade, and put my DSLR and 2 lenses down the bottom? The selfie stick, go pro and other small bits and bobs could go in the long compartment at the front.

    Dear Rick. On your recommendation I purchased this bag and there is no way this pack stands up. It falls over in a New York Minute.........unless you stuff the rain fly very far forward into a bunch, it will then sit up till it spreads out and falls over again. In the pack I can get an Avegant Glyph, 6 batteries, iPad 9.7 and what not. The bag takes up about the same footprint as the fly more bag and is twice as tall. Very handy to grab and go traveling light. Thanks, I think. (wish it stood up better, may add feet!)

    • @Dronevalley

      Rupert, Lowepro makes a ton of different cases and have quite a few that will hold your Mavic, Laptop and other gear. Another subscriber (Kimmy Doll) just suggested the Tactic 450, which is larger but you can store your entire garage in their. The Pro Tactic 350 is a decent compromise in size, capacity and cost. • @housinit

    The title is wrong. LOVE this bag though, bought it last year, but never thought about using it for my Mavic.....duh. Its awesome for it! My only complaint about this pack is that I put it on the wrong shoulder almost everytime I pick it up, its not ambidextrous. I'm left landed, so for most people its not an issue. Not really an issue, more of a slight annoyance for us left-handers......which we're used to since everything out there is slightly annoying for us to use.

    • @Dronevalley
      @Dronevalley  7 років тому +1

      Thanks for that catch, I have to stick to simpler titles. I was surprised at how this bag grew on me and think it will the perfect case for carrying a Mavic and a set of goggles. I appreciate the post, Rick

      You guys are breaking my heart since I don't have a headset yet :) I did have on in my hands in Vegas and since you can take it apart, I pretty sure that it will fit into the top compartment of the bag with the Mavic in the bottom. I'll be at the DJI event later this month in NY and will be sure to try it there. Also head over and follow me on Twitter as I'll be live tweeting from the event with all of the details. • @om1882
      @om1882 7 років тому

      Hi guys. First I bought Dji official sling bag and it fits Dji Goggle, Mavic, Controller and 4 batteries. It fits all of them but really really tight and I was worried about the drone when I travel. Don't get me wrong, it tight like 30 years old guy wearing 12 years old boy underpants. Then I bought Lowepro 250 aw and it also fits all of them. But it's not as very tight as Dji official sling bag. You got to keep Goggle screen at the very bottom of the bag then one battery loaded on Mavic stay above goggle. You can put headband and other accessories in the top of the bag. 3 batteries and controller stay in the front of the bag and you still have some more room for other small accessories in the front bag. My opinion for this bag is much better than Dji official sling bag.

    Once again, engineers miniaturize technology, and we all jump on the bandwagon so we can have great flying cameras that practically fit in a pocket, then we add this, add that, need a larger case, goggles, range extenders extra batteries, etc., etc....
    We then need backpacks, suitcases et al, to carry all this stuff. I'd rather use a backpack for a Phantom and keep my Mavic small, as intended. Kudos to those who pimp out their mavics, though - hobbies are great! :-)
