  • Sorry about the poor quality, but it was a case of "it's happening, grab the tablet and press record".
Possible seizure activity on left arm, left leg and involving head/neck movements. Not sure what to call this; it started out feeling like restless legs then moved into other limbs. Am leaving comments on this time. When first diagnosed with epilepsy 7 years ago, we called this myoclonic jerks.
While I was fully aware through the episode, there is a definite moment when I 'come out of' the seizure state (when I relax, then talk to my dog, on the right of my chair).

I've just replied to a comment and it's not showing, so will try here. I had an episode during an appointment with one of my specialists, giving us the opportunity to talk about exactly what happened. It may be dissociative disorder, as my brain is very uncomfortable, but I'm aware, and was able to set up the tablet to film (in this case). At the end, I sigh, relax, and come back to reality.
If you are experiencing jerks, or any type of unusual activity like in this or any other seizure videos, please go to a doctor or hospital and ask to see a neurologist. The brain is a complex organ, and abnormal activity should be assessed by professionals.

Topiramate and Tegretol, fairly high doses of both. I have triggers which contribute to the myoclonic seizures (muscular jerks), so it helps to be aware of those and avoid them. I wish your daughter well. Epilepsy is an ever changing beast. 💜

I experience the same thing! But only with my left arm. My will jerk more violently than that, sometimes will make me sigh with discomfort. I started to experience this in April while driving. I thought my hands became dry and my hand had slipped off the steering wheel. Then it was happening over and over again! My arm would fly up and hit the window.
What can this be!? My 13 yr old is concerned it can be a form of seizure. These kind of arm jerks happen nearly daily.

I also experiencing those jerks.. Mostly on my left leg and arm and sometimes on the right..but worst if both or on my entire body.. It
will be triggered when I'm in a rest then going to movement such as to walk or to stand but less probability on constant move.. I wish this was just a nightmare cause we don't have the money for the diagnosis and treatment.. sorry for my bad english

mr. yoso , it looks like this is dissociative disorder, rather than epilepsy. I had an episode during an appointment with one of my specialists, giving us the opportunity to talk about exactly what happened. At the end of this, when I started talking to the dog, is when I was coming out of the episode. It is a horrible feeling, not being in control of your body, and not knowing why. If you can find medical help, an EEG is the place to start. Good luck!
